Although only a first year in middle school, Ryoma had already earned notoriety through winning four consecutive titles in the American Junior Tennis tournaments – all in a little over a year. Due to his nearly invincible tennis play, Ryoma has earned the label 'prodigy' by the age of twelve. His looks and confidence make him highly popular with ladies, although he seems not to notice, having his focus exclusively on tennis. He is an all-court tennis player with many special shots and abilities. One of Ryoma's greatest talents is his ability to learn new techniques after only seeing them performed a few times. He also has an amazing amount of stamina and does not sweat as much as other players. Along with fellow Seigaku regular Eiji Kikumaru, Ryoma is known to have an exceptional talent for seeing moving objects. He does not go easy on himself and pushes himself more, rather than letting himself rest. He is specifically a singles player, though he did try doubles once with teammate Momoshiro Takeshi.

He grew up in Chiba, where he became friends with Kojirou Saeki, the current vice-captain of Rokkaku Middle School Tennis Club. Later on, he moved to Tokyo and entered Seigaku. Fuji usually takes the position of S2 (Singles 2), although sometimes he is paired with Takashi Kawamura or Eiji Kikumaru in Doubles (with Eiji, they are called the "Dream Pair"). Inui has an intense rivalry with Tezuka, having played at least 30 matches against him and losing every single one of them. In response to Tezuka's superiority, Inui began developing his style of Data Tennis specifically to defeat Tezuka. Takeshi Momoshiro

Utama

Male · Gol. darah O

Height: 170 cm Dominant Hand: Right Play Style: Aggressive Special Move: Dunk Smash, Jack Knife, Super Great Momoshiro Special Momoshiro is aggressive but nice to a lot of people, there's no question why freshmen are close to him and he also has friends from other rival tennis clubs. He tends to be hasty when it comes to his emotions and perceptions, but he tries to make up to it afterwards. At the start of the series, Momoshiro sees himself as a Singles player and gets into a slight bicker with Echizen to see who would gain Singles Three. However to his surprise, he finds himself the partner of Echizen hence they create the 'ah-un' strategy. Momoshiro then starts functioning more as a doubles player especially when he had to play as a replacement for Oishi in the Hyotei-Seigaku match against Oshitari and Gakuto. The last seen Singles match he had in the anime was the match between him and Oshitari in which he lost after getting clobbered by a pole. Momoshiro, despite his brash thinking, is actually what one of the players noted during the Nationals Tournament as the Trickster of Seigaku. He had advanced his play so well that he subconsciously created his own version of Insight although not at par with Atobe's yet. At the end of the series and the manga, Momoshiro is seen as the new vice captain while Kaidoh functions as the captain.

Akaya Kirihara

Pendukung

Male · Gol. darah O

Class: 2-D #6 Elementary: Kanagawa Daisan Dominant Hand: Right Play Style: Aggressive He is the youngest and only second year student in the Rikkaidai line-up, thus earning him the title "Second Year Ace." He joined Rikkai because he heard the school had a very strong tennis team, but his hopes were quickly crushed by the Three Demons. He usually acts childish and friendly, though he is actually very violent on the court, often causing serious injuries that require hospitalization. He reforms in the anime after being beaten by Fuji, though he retains his nature in the manga; in the nationals in the anime, he returns to his violent playing style. While under high pressure or after sustaining injury, The whites of his eyes turn red, becoming bloodshot, and his power, skill, and speed increase. He becomes much more violent while in this state. Later, he develops a "Devil Mode", which turns his skin red and his hair white. His bloodlust and destructive power are greatly enhanced, and he solely focuses on crushing the opposing players using purely violent means. Kirihara's trademark shot is the "Knuckle Serve", a more powerful and extreme version of the Twist Serve, in which the serve goes straight for the opposing players body.

After his heartbreaking lost against Seigaku's Kaoru Kaidou, he decided to train harder, which led to his triumph against Yamabuki's Kiyosumi Sengoku. Aside from being the strongest player in the team he is also the student council president, thus making him a very influential and powerful figure in his school.

Junichi Suwabe

Bunta Marui

Pendukung

Male · Umur 15 · Gol. darah B

Dominant Hand: Right Play Style: Serve and Volley Marui Bunta is Rikkai's very own volley specialist. Marui is very confident of his skills and is not at least afraid to flaunt it. Despite of his abilities, his main weakness is his lack of stamina, which he compensates by eating sweets and gums during tennis games. In Temporal difference Hell, he seems to feint a smash, then catches it on his racket from behind his back instead and thus returns it differently at the last moment. Was used in the Finals match against Kikumaru and Oishi.

Naozumi Takahashi

Kuranosuke Shiraishi

Pendukung

Male · Gol. darah B

Shitenhouji Middle School: 3rd Year – Class 2 – Seat 14 Height: 178cm Style: All Rounder, Perfect Tennis Shiraishi is the Captain of Shitenhouji Chuu. He is heralded as having 'Perfect Tennis', and is referred to as 'The Bible of Shitenhouji'. His skills are so great that he was already playing at singles 1 when he was only in his second year, and his team that year gave the eventual repeat Champions Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku their toughest match of the entire tournament, when they met in the semi-finals. He is only shown to have one special shot, which is an unnamed shot where he hits the ball which spins in a ring motion while traveling towards his opponent. Shiraishi is often shown sporting white bandages on his arm, for some reason unknown. There are several instances where he attempts to take them off, but never really finishes the process and winds them back up. Shiraishi is also known to be the only person who can placate or appease Kintarou Tooyama, the youngest and wildest member of their team. It is apparent in the manga that Kintarou has a very peculiar and strong imagination, and ever since he read a manga about monsters with poison claws, he's been irrationally and childishly (albeit seriously) afraid of Shiraishi.
