Makoto Naegi

Utama

Male · Gol. darah A

Height: 160 cm (5'3") Talent: Good Luck Makoto is a student in Hope's Peak Academy's Class 78th, and a participant of the Killing School Life. His talent is Super High School Level Good Luck (超高校級の幸運), meaning he got into Hope's Peak by winning a lottery, rather than being scouted for an extraordinary talent like everyone else. His title is the Ultimate Lucky Student in the English localization. Makoto is friendly and a lot more down-to-earth than other students. He tends to act passively in conversation. According to him, his most distinguishing feature is his optimism.

Megumi Ogata

Gundham Tanaka

Utama

Male · Gol. darah B

Height: 182 cm (5'11") Talent: Ultimate Animal Breeder A student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip. He is almost always seen with his extremely well-trained hamsters, the Four Dark Devas of Destruction: San-D (orange and white), Jum-P (grey and white), Maga-Z (tan fur with peach underbelly, chipped ear), and Cham-P (fat, orange). Gundham is an eccentric chuunibyou who claims that he has been blessed with the evil powers of the underworld, referring to everyone else as "pathetic human beings" and often rambling about the dark arts, alchemy, and astral levels. He is often lost in his own world, paying more attention to himself and his hamsters than the things going on around him. Because of this, Gundham initially comes off as self-centered and aloof, however he seems to have serious problems with socializing and physical contact. He has been strict about not wanting to touch nor be touched by others since childhood, going as far as to avoid sports and playing with other children. In his typical manner, Gundham claims that his flesh is "poisoned" to disguise his fear of intimacy. He tells Hajime that he can only be touched by very specific persons with astral levels that match his own. Though he may be awkward around other people, Gundham deeply cares about animals (despite how he refers to them as his evil minions to stay in line with his overlord persona). He claims that anything that can talk "will eventually betray you" and prefers to trust animals for their loyalty and sincere nature. He has an informational website about breeding which he maintains carefully. He also gets offended when anyone looks down on the Devas or refers to them as simply average hamsters, as he claims that hamsters are merely their "temporary form".

Tomokazu Sugita

Nagito Komaeda

Utama

Male · Gol. darah O

Height: 180 cm (5'11") Talent: Ultimate Lucky Student Nagito is a student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip. On the surface, Nagito is friendly and easygoing. He genuinely cares for his classmates and holds a lot of respect for ideals like love, friendship, and teamwork. However, he doesn't care for "ordinary, untalented people" such as himself and is extremely self-deprecating; he sees himself as "worthless trash" whose life has no value, something he brings up often. Nagito is also highly intelligent, usually solving the murders long before anyone else, though he doesn't share his findings easily. Nagito has an extreme, twisted obsession with hope. He believes that hope is an absolute good that will always win in the end, and that anything done in the name of hope, even murder, is virtuous. He sees Ultimates as the embodiments of hope that are chosen at birth, and thinks they can strengthen that hope by facing and overcoming despair. He doesn't consider himself to be a "real" Ultimate, and instead wishes to sacrifice himself so that they can shine.

Ryouta Mitarai

Utama

Male · Gol. darah O

Height: 160 cm (5'2") Talent: Ultimate Animator A character featured in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School. During his time in Class 77-B at Hope's Peak Academy. He is a member of the Future Foundation and is the Branch Office 10 Director. His responsibility as the director is assistance in reviving education and culture. He holds anime in very high regard and is extremely passionate about it, considering it his savior during his harsh childhood. His life goal is to give others a similar sense of hope through his anime. However, this led him to shut himself in his room to work, frequently neglecting to eat or sleep as he wanted to spend all his time creating anime. Ryota suffers from extreme anxiety, worrying constantly, and lacks self-confidence, seeing himself as a burden who fails to protect everyone. He has a weak stomach and is easily startled. Though he's very hard on himself, he does his best when given a mission.

Kanata Hongou

Hajime Hinata

Utama

Male · Gol. darah A

Height: 179 cm (5'10") Talent: Ultimate ??? A student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. He doesn't remember his talent at the beginning of the Killing Game, so his title is the Ultimate ???. Hajime seems cynical at first glance, but it would be better to describe him as a realist. He is quite skeptical and tends to worry more than the other students, but his worries are usually understandable. He is logical and smart; often annoyed by the idea of not being able to understand someone or something at all. He tends to be quite serious, but he does joke around and often goes along with his classmates' eccentric hobbies anyway, and sometimes smiles awkwardly and sheepishly while his friends engage in some of their usual weird behavior. He is sometimes annoyed by some of his classmates and can be snarky towards them in his thoughts as well as blunt while speaking to them, though he's more frank than sarcastic or mean-spirited. Though sometimes a bit submissive (especially with bossy girls), he is not afraid to speak his mind, and he can be rude if annoyed enough (for example, after enduring Hiyoko's attitude during her Free Time Events, he finally ends up stating "I don't even care anymore"). He can sometimes be short-tempered and snap at others, especially when he's tired or under pressure. He was also quite paranoid during the start of the game and didn't have much interest in friendship, but he later really wanted to believe in his classmates and felt bad about doubting them during the Class Trials, though he understood it was necessary.

Fuyuhiko is initially incredibly stand-offish and rude to the other students. When he does interact with them, his attitude is combative and irritable. He was born as the heir of Kuzuryu Clan, but he thinks that his younger sister, Natsumi, deserves the title instead. Fuyuhiko states that he wants to be strong on his own and not rely on his family's power to get ahead. His goal is to be strong enough to lead his family, rather than to be strong because he leads his family. He takes duty very seriously, and if there's someone who he can trust, he will open his heart and cooperate with them. Despite being a yakuza, Fuyuhiko has a somewhat pure heart and is very strict to the rules, taking honor and moral codes seriously. He is also particularly sensitive about his "baby face" looks.

Because of his sickness, he never got to play sports and didn't participate in P.E. in school. Akane Owari

Utama

Female · Gol. darah B

Height: 176 cm Talent: Ultimate Gymnast Akane is a tall, young woman with an athletic, curvaceous physique. Akane has a fiery personality and she loves fighting, as long as there is no other weapons besides the person's own fists and body, which lets her get along very well with Nekomaru Nidai. She is eager to challenge someone to fight her and she respects those who are physically strong, and can somehow correctly tell which people would be strong opponents even if they don't look like it. She seems to think that punching things, including people, is the best way to solve problems and her hot head can sometimes get her into trouble. While she also loves athletic things such as climbing and running, she can actually be very lazy and unmotivated if she isn't allowed to do things her own way. She dislikes planning, training, and routines, but has a remarkable talent for inventing her own moves. In general, her mood can shift very quickly. She can bounce between bored, to happy, to angry, and to happy again. Despite her easygoing and aloof personality, she is loyal and protective towards her friends. Akane is also extremely fond of food and she can eat almost anything, including small animals. She claims that food is the most important thing, because "If you don't eat, you'll die." She also thinks that eating is very important so you can regain your strength. While her hungriness is often played for laughs, it has some darker undertones. She says that she quickly loses her energy if she doesn't eat and she just gets more hungry if she eats just a little.

Suzuko Mimori

Kazuichi Souda

Utama

Male · Gol. darah A

Height: 172 cm (5'6") Talent: Ultimate Mechanic A student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip. Kazuichi is a highly emotional character, though he tries to play it smooth and acts carefree at first. He is a very jumpy person, easily scared and often screaming in fear. People tend to note his intimidating appearance does not match his compulsive and cowardly personality. Naturally, he has a great fear of dying on the island during the Killing School Trip, which causes a lot of stress and panic for him. He also often blurts things out without thinking, seems to be a very bad liar, and tends to be slow-witted. Alongside Mikan Tsumiki, Kazuichi often ends up being the butt of Monokuma and Hiyoko Saionji's jokes. Kazuichi tends to carry around a wrench and he gets anxious if he cannot tinker with something. He has a great love for machinery, especially fast ones like rockets and bikes, which is ironic, since he suffers from awful motion sickness. He also likes girls a lot, though in a rather perverted and shallow way. He has taken a strong liking to Sonia Nevermind, to an extent of being a pervert, and in constant jealousy of Gundham Tanaka. He claims that he's dreamed of a beautiful blonde girlfriend since he was a kid. Sonia dislikes this behavior and calls him a stalker.

Mahiru Koizumi

Utama

Female · Gol. darah A

Height: 165cm (5'4") Talent: Ultimate Photographer A student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Mahiru is optimistic, sensible, and unafraid to speak her mind. She's a reliable person who is prone to taking care of people, but won't hesitate to scold them either. Hajime has likened being scolded by her to being yelled at by his mom. Mahiru has high expectations of men and is quick to be abrasive towards them, while she is much more tolerant and friendly with girls. Likewise, the subjects of her photos are usually girls, as she gets bored photographing guys. Despite her love for photography, Mahiru believes her title is stupid compared to her classmates. She compares her photos to those of her mother, a famous war photographer whose career made her absent for much of Mahiru's life. Mahiru's father was a very poor parent, leaving housework entirely to her. (Source: Danganronpa Wiki, edited)

Talent: Ultimate Imposter The Ultimate Imposter is a student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant of the Killing School Trip featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. They impersonate Byakuya Togami as the Ultimate Affluent Progeny. The Ultimate Imposter's real appearance is that of a person with long, black hair and green eyes with a heavy build. Their age and gender is unknown, but they are able to give off a largely male impression while disguised as Byakuya and even mimic his voice perfectly. In Danganronpa 3, their real voice is quite deep and masculine. However, originally in Danganronpa 2, the brief glimpse of their apparent real voice sounded notably different, more high-pitched and rather gender neutral. The Imposter also refused to go swimming in front of others, which implies that removing their clothes would reveal their true gender. Their true personality is also somewhat unclear as they spend most of their time mimicking someone else's behavior. However, they speak briefly without disguise and it's implied that their real nature is polite and meek. Most notably, they appear to be truly kind and caring, but also quite serious. The Ultimate Imposter doesn't have a name, family register, relatives, and anything that could link them with their true identity. In order to have their existence acknowledged, they take other people's data and learn it so they can impersonate them flawlessly. No one can tell the difference between the Ultimate Imposter and the real person that they impersonate. According to Monokuma, even their noticeably heavy body build does not affect their ability to fool others. This, along with the fact that they are capable of changing their appearance extremely quickly without anyone noticing, implies that their talent is near superhuman.

She often helps Hajime Hinata during the Class Trials and provides important points. She can be stern and bluntly honest, even at times forgetting to take other people's feelings into consideration. However, Chiaki truly does care about and wants to protect everyone. She dislikes killing more than anything and she gets very serious about the topic. She is the nicest towards Monomi and she is very understanding towards Nagito Komaeda, even though his actions frustrate her.

Kana Hanazawa

Komaru Naegi

Pendukung

Female · Gol. darah A

Height: 163 cm (5'4") The main protagonist of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls and the younger sister of Makoto Naegi. Komaru begins as a somewhat hypersensitive and cowardly person who often wavers between hope and despair. She doesn't want to have strong hope, because she believes it will be lost eventually, leading to worse despair. She has low self-esteem, considering herself boring, ordinary, and weak. She also shows some childish traits, such as being naive, reliant, and easily excitable. She also has an 'unusual' kind of pride, as she gets really worked up from the puzzles of the Monokuma Kids and brags towards the kids when she solves them. She is also very gullible and rather innocent as well, as doesn't seem to have much interest in romance nor sexual things. It's been stated that in the past some creepy guys have taken interest in her, supposedly because of her gullibility, and it's been shown that she isn't very good at noticing their intentions. While a kind person, Komaru sometimes has a hard time relating to certain people and subjects, because she herself has lived a very ordinary life. However, she herself has a few very unusual traits as well, including her strange favorite foods and her apparent ability to sense ghosts, although she doesn't seem to think these traits are anything unusual. Despite sometimes giving up too easily, there are other times which Komaru shows how stubborn and determined she can be. She has a weakness in complicated subjects such as basic computer science, but she does have moments where she is intuitive.
