Aya Uchida

Mio Sakamoto

Pendukung

Female · Umur 20

The first Strike Witch and sub-commander of the unit, with the commissioned rank of Squadron Leader and official rank of Major. Mio is also the oldest witch at nineteen (later, twenty) years old and, like Yoshika, comes from Fuso. She is seemingly the toughest and most mature of the Witches, being an experienced veteran of the early fighting against the Neuroi. She knew Yoshika's father while he was first designing the Striker Unit and was the first person to pilot one. Her usual task is to train new recruits, and in this role she becomes a very strict disciplinarian, appropriately gaining the ears and tail of a Doberman when equipped with her Striker. Otherwise she is quite friendly, if a little too forward at times, with a very distinct laugh. Under Mio's eyepatch is a magic eye that grants her increased visual prowess and the ability to spot Neuroi cores when used. Being 19/20 years old however Mio's magical power has aged too far for her to erect effective shields in combat, however she can still fly and use her magical eye. Carries a 13mm Type99 Machine-gun into a battle along with a magical katana strapped to her back capable of cutting apart giant Neuroi. Her Striker Unit is based on the A6M Zero (in second season she receives a new Striker, based probably on the Kyuushuu J7W1 Shinden) and she herself is based on Saburo Sakai and Tetsuzō Iwamoto. Affiliation: Forces Aériennes Galliaises Libres 802nd Flying Corps, Isle of Wight Detachment Group Rank: Sergeant Height: 150cm Striker Model: Spitfire Mk V, VG39bis Weapons: Bren Light Machine gun Mk 1. Familiar: European Rabbit Her ace archetype is Henri Planchard. Born to a farming family in Normandy, in Northwest Gallia. As the first witch in her family line, she was sent away to a national training institute where she lived alone, away from her family, a difficult experience for such a young girl. During the Neuroi invasion of Gallia, she was still a trainee witch undergoing final tests, and thus did not participate in any of the actual fighting. After the fall of Gallia she moved to Britannia with operation Dynamo, where she received training with the Free Gallian Air Force, and became a formal Air Infantryman. Her uniform and striker (a Spitfire Mk. V) and the training facilities she uses were all provided by Britannia. Her magical powers are not low, and she had excellent results in class, but she was noted for not being assertive enough. A very emotional person, her eyes well up with tears at any show of strong feelings. She is a pampered girl who cannot stand to be alone. Planchard flew as the wingman to Flying Officer Perrine H. Clostermann (a Pilot-Officer (Sous-Lieutenant) at the time) while the two were deployed to a defensive fighter unit at a Britannian airbase before the latter was invited to the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. Planchard appears to be deeply moved by something she sees in Flying Officer Clostermann, and in the way she always forges ahead recklessly, even at the cost of losing everything.

Fernandia Malvezzi

Pendukung

Fernandia Malvezzi is based on Italian pilot Fernando Malvezzi. Graduate of a military academy for witches in Romagna. With a small degree of skill in healing magic, Fernandia was assigned to the magic medical corps, but she actually had a strong desire for a combat role. She snuck herself into a ground attack witch unit, one of the understrength sections of the Aeronautica Romagniana (Romagnan Air Force). After studying tactics with a Karlslander dive-bomber squadron, Fernandia, together with her best friends Luciana and Martina from the academy, flew many missions, even recording a destroyed heavy land Neuroi to their name. In recognition of the team's fame and overwhelmingly positive evaluations, all three were given the honor of being admitted into the Pantaloni Rossi (Red Pants). Not long after, Fernandia's unit was equipped with MC.202 Strikers. Her experience with those enlightened her towards air combat, and ever since '44 she has been using the G-55. Even though Fernandia can be extremely self-assured, headstrong, and impulsive, she also displays an undeniable friendliness, and she is a natural leader with the power to get others to do things her way. Within the team, she takes the role of commander and also vanguard. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

Heidemarie W. Schnaufer

Pendukung

Female · Umur 15

Heidemarie W. Schnaufer is based on German pilot Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer. Her archetype's nickname was The Night Ghost of St. Trond, which is the reference for her story in the manga Kimi to Tsunagaru Sora. She is Karlsland's top night witch (Nachthexe). By the end of 1944, she was nearing a shot-down count of 100, all of which were scored in air combat at night. Together with a magic Radar Antenna, a tell-tale feature of a night witch, she has a special night vision ability which allows her to see clearly through the darkness by starlight. As a child, she had trouble controlling this night vision ability, and thus went through much of her life indoors in dimly lit conditions. At the age of 10, she was admitted into a witch training program, and as she learned to control her powers, her talent as a night witch blossomed. Soon, her night vision ability would no longer spontaneously activate, but the visual neurons which had already been damaged could not be healed even with magic, so she usually wears glasses with a strong prescription. As if in response to her lonely childhood, she has a strong desire to make friends with others her age, which is surprising, especially in a night witch. A currently serving night-fighter air infantryman in 1944. Once she reaches 100 victories, she will be promoted to Squadron Leader, becoming Karlsland's youngest combat air wing commander (Geschwaderkommodore). She also seems to have struck up a friendship with Sanya, and the two regularly contact each other while on night patrol. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

Kana Ueda

Martina Crespi

Pendukung

Martina Crespi is the daughter of a wealthy family from southern Romagna. She is a bright and sociable girl but far too perky for a lady from a prominent family, which causes no end of headaches for her parents. To top it off, her speech and behavior is almost like that of a young boy. Because of training in classical ballet, she posseses a very flexible body and a keen sense of movement. Her favored tactic consists of extremely close range dogfighting with the enemy Neuroi. There was even an unusual case in her record, in which she used her striker to "kick out" the core from a Neuroi. A downside of her tactics is that she can sometimes be too fixated on what's happening in front of her, and losing sight of the bigger picture. She has a somewhat love-hate relationship with Fernandia Malvezzi, and is attached to Luciana Mazzei. She specializes in hit-and-run tactics within her team. (Source: Strike Witches Wiki)

She also has the right for Britannian crown, although that relation is quite distant. She has had a long and valiant military service since she fought in the Hispanian military campaign. She has a lot of experience and she has received regular training for a military officer. When she was Flight Lieutenant she got injured in battle in Britannia, while she was under medical care she got promoted as the commanding officer of 506th JFW. She was under medical care, she was getting close to 20 and getting close to retirement so she thought it would be too difficult and she declined. But since people convinced her that there is no other person of such talent for the job, she was promoted to Squadron Leader and she accepted the position of honorary commanding officer. She is mild-mannered and gentle. Because she is getting close to 20, she doesn't command the battle. During battle the squadron is mostly commanded by Squadron Leader Wittgenstein, but because Flight Lieutenant Visconti has similar personality as Wittgenstein, their subordinates have to go through many hardships. Nikka Katajainen

Pendukung

Female · Umur 15

Height: 160 cm Affiliation: Suomus Air Force 24th, Squadron 3rd Company Team: 502nd Joint Fighter Wing Rank: Flight Sergeant Weapon: MG42 Familiar: Snow weasel / Ermine Nikka Edvardine Katajainen is a witch of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, originating from Suomus. She is based on Finnish ace Nils Katajainen. After graduation, she was appointed Flight Sergeant and assigned to the 3rd Company of the 24th Squadron, an elite unit of the Suomus Air Force. As Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen is also a member of this squadron, the two are fellow squadron members. Although she shot down a Neuroi on her first sortie, she was hit and the engine got damaged and crashed while returning to the base. One of the causes is her strong fighting spirit and her fighting style being continuous attacks with no regard for shields. In 1943, she was invited to the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing and became known as the "Break Witches" along with Waltrud Krupinski and Kanno Naoe due to often damaging their striker units. Nikka is something of a tomboy, bearing a boyish appearance and often an unladylike manner. She was once something of a delinquent, which has since eased somewhat with the influence of her close friends. She possesses a very exacting personality which usually splits any situation into right or wrong. While not stupid, she is relatively guileless and often distracted. She has a strong desire to do her best to protect her hometown and works hard, but her character is too straightforward and this often makes her attitude worse. She is bright and social, but in some situations, she cannot read the atmosphere of the place.
