His signature weapon is the Laser Rifle (レーザーライフル ), also known as the Ion Blaster in the US. In most incarnations, his alternate mode is a truck, although its exact model tends to vary depending on the entry. Starscream is a Decepticon in the various fictional Transformers universes. He appeared in several incarnations in the related comics, animated television series, and movies. Most incarnations of the Starscream character are extremely ambitious and treacherous, but with varying degrees of strength and competence. Often, Starscream is the leader of a sub-group of Decepticon attack jets called the Seekers, and in many incarnations he is also second-in-command of the Decepticons. He makes no secret of his ambition to overthrow Megatron as Decepticon leader. He is more intelligent than the average Decepticon, ruthless, and cruel; but, he is also a coward: He is unlikely to directly act on his ultimate ambition without, in advance, secretly getting enough fellow Decepticons to support him. He considers himself vastly superior to other Decepticons, and looks down on Megatron for being antiquated in his military strategy and tactics. Starscream believes that the Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute destructive force to defeat the Autobots; although, even when Starscream is given the chance to strike out on his own, he is rarely more successful than Megatron -- often, considerably less. Megatron overlooks the potential threat that Starscream represents because he believes that Starscream is very good at his job. However, Starscream often exhausts Megatron's patience quickly; violent-yet-brief verbal and/or physical conflicts are not uncommon between the two. Usually, these result in Megatron treating Starscream in a humiliatingly dismissive manner. Starscream's ghost also appeared for a few episodes in Beast Wars, and he eventually possessed Waspinator's body for quite some time.

The leader of Destron (aka Decepticon) forces - a cruel and intelligent strategist who dreams of galaxy-wide dominance with what he describes as "peace through tyranny". His signature alternate mode is a customized handgun, often wielded by his subordinates, most commonly Starscream. However, in later installments, he adapts a number of other alternate modes, with his second most iconic form being a tank. His signature weapon is the Fusion Cannon (融合カノン砲), which he usually wields on his right arm.

In the year 2005, after an abortive attack on Autobot City, the evil Decepticons found it necessary to jettison excess mass from their craft to make it back to their homeworld of Cybertron. The injured and dying Decepticons, including the Decepticons' leader, Megatron, were chosen to be ejected into the void of space. When their bodies were recovered by the world-eater, Unicron, they were reborn as deadly new warriors in the service of the recreated Megatron, now known as Galvatron. Although The Transformers: The Movie does not make it entirely clear who Cyclonus was in his previous incarnation, he is one of the new Decepticons created by Unicron using the body of either Skywarp or Bombshell. He is a being whose loyalty to Galvatron is so intense as to exclude most other emotions and interests from his mind. Dedicated to destruction in his leader’s name, Cyclonus transforms into a nuclear-powered multi-turbine-engine jet fighter, capable of space flight and able to expand in size to convey Galvatron. In robot mode, he wields an oxidating laser that fuses the internal mechanisms of its targets, and in vehicle mode is additionally armed with an incendiary bomb rack. Immediately following his creation, Cyclonus served as little more than Galvatron’s personal ship, carrying his leader to Starscream’s coronation, into the battle in Autobot City, and pursuing Autobots on the Planet of Junk, as well as attacking and crippling the shuttle carrying Hot Rod and Kup in the midst of it all. After the destruction of Unicron, however, when Galvatron was lost, Cyclonus came into his own, his loyalty to the Decepticons' absent leader shaping his character in different ways. Disgusted with how far the leaderless Decepticons had fallen as they eked out a miserable existence on the barren world of Chaar, Cyclonus resolved to locate Galvatron, daring even to enter Unicron's deactivated, disembodied head and replaying its memory banks, tracing Galvatron to the world of Thrull. Unfortunately, once extricated from a pool of the planet's plasma-lava, Galvatron proved to have been driven insane from exposure to it and brutalized Cyclonus and Sweeps before being talked down and returned to his position as leader.

Unicron was a fallen god from before the universe existed, who sought the ultimate peace that would be granted by the destruction of all life. Amazingly, Unicron accomplished this task, wiping out all life, planets, stars and nebulae, even "the stuff of space itself" in the universe and leaving only nothingness and void. His lust for destruction finally sated, Unicron entered a deep sleep - but he had not been thorough enough. Tiny fragments of the old universe reacted with each other, and a new universe was born. As Unicron slept, the core of this new universe - somehow a sentient being - became aware of Unicron's threat and created a defender to battle his evil - Primus, the lord of light. Unicron awoke to find himself surrounded by another universe, and simply began to destroy it again.

Due to his ability to detect Energon, he traveled with his father across the galaxy on numerous occasions, at times getting into unfortunate accidents that'd give him a wide plethora of phobias, including a fear of Transformers - however, thanks to befriending Roadbuster, he's been able to gradually overcome some of them. His little sister is Sally, and his girlfriend is Misha. His armor was given to him by Grand Convoy, who created it using the Combination Spark embedded in his chest. <i>Note: In the US version of Superlink, "Transformers: Energon", specifically its tie-in comics, he was renamed to Chad "Kicker" Jones. The US release of Galaxy Force features an extra scene in the last episode, portraying him in his 20s - this was, however, absent from the Japanese original.</i>

Hot Shot is the quintessential young hero. He's been around long enough to earn a name for himself and a place in Optimus Prime's entourage, but he's still too young to know when he's in over his head. In other words, he's blunt, overconfident, naïve, and more than just a little annoying, yet brave, honorable, loyal to his friends, and willing to risk his life to stop the Decepticons and help the Autobots. With time and experience, Prime believes, he could make an excellent leader, and Prime has appointed him to his command structure accordingly. Hot Shot's got the goods, but he just needs to pay attention for more than five seconds. Until that day, Hot Shot's likely response to most anything is, "Yeah yeah, like, whatever." (Source: tfwiki)
