Ryuu

Utama

Male

Ryu is one of the main characters from Capcom's Street Fighter series (and is also one of Capcom's mascot characters) and is the archetypical fighting game protagonist. Ryu has appeared in every Street Fighter game and vs/crossover games produced in part with Capcom. Ryu is the essential wandering warrior type character, living only for the fight, not caring about winning or losing but a chance to fight and learn, caring mostly for improving himself both spiritually and physically. His Background Story varies from anime to anime, but has always remained constant in the game series. The core of his background story is always this: Ryu is an orphaned child taken in by Anasatsuken master Gouken and trained along with his future best friend Ken Masters. Gouken is killed by Akuma (Gouki in Japanese versions), Ryu seeks revenge on Akuma while fighting in various tournaments in the meanwhile.

Gouki

Utama

Male

Gouki is a vicious and aggressive fighter who fights only to test his strength against his opponents. However, being a strict upholder of the code of the warrior, he usually only fights those who challenge him instead of picking fights.

Ken Masters

Pendukung

Male

Ryu's best friend and the only son of the extremely rich Masters family. He lives in San Francisco with his parents in a very large mansion (it takes 20 minutes to drive from the front yard to the main house). He too spends a lot of time training as well, but not as much as Ryu. Ken also rides a motorcycle. His mother is Japanese. Ken also learns to use the power of Hadou later on while being held captive by Shadowlaw. Only Ryu knows the Hadoken, while both he and Ken know the Shoryuken. Ken later upgrades the Shoryuken to the Hadou Shoryuken, and then shortens it to the Hadou Shoryu. Interestingly, in the English dub Ken still called the move Shoryuken while Ryu called it by its English translation; Rising Dragon Punch. (Source: Wikipedia)

Gouken

Pendukung

The master of Ryu and Ken, Gouken, along with his brother Akuma, was taught the killing arts of Shotokan karate by its founder, Goutetsu. However, unlike his brother and master, Gouken abhorred the violence inherent to the system. As Akuma fully embraced the Dark Hadou, Gouken created a toned down version of Shotokan that emphasized self-defense, self-improvement, and personal cultivation. Gouken was killed by his brother Akuma in a battle to the death.

Sakura Kasugano

Pendukung

A schoolgirl at Tamagawa Minami High, Sakura has a fascination with martial artists - particularly Ryu. Despite her age and lack of formal training, she has managed to duplicate many of the Shotokan techniques, even if her attacks are raw and less effective. Undaunted by her inexperience, she has been known to pick fights with older, larger fighters in order to practice her skills.

Goutetsu

Pendukung

Goutetsu is the martial arts master of Akuma and Gouken, who trained them in the same martial art style they used. The style would become the basis of Ryu and Ken's fighting style. Goutetsu was killed in battle by his own student, Akuma, who performed the Shun Goku Satsu (Instant Hell Murder or Raging Demon) on him in an honorable death match. The prayer beads that Akuma wears originally belonged to Goutetsu.
