Lloyd is the main protagonist of the series, he was raised by his adoptive dwarf father who lives outside the village of Iselia. His best friends are Genis Sage and Colette Brunel. He accompanies Colette on her Journey of World Regeneration as one of her guardians. Lloyd is a brave man and a good fighter, but he isn't that good at school, he mostly sleeps there and forgets the subject matter very quickly, but he is very serious about protecting his friends and defending his ideals. He also has an acute knowledge of Exspheres and his knowledge about it is often needed.

Katsuyuki Konishi

Colette Brunel

Utama

Female · Umur 16

The Chosen of Sylvarant, Colette is a kind, selfless girl who always puts others before herself. Throughout the game, Colette is shown to be quite clumsy, as her repetitive tripping causes the most unusual (and usually beneficial) things to happen, from making a hole in the wall at school to deactivating the most complex machinery. Being the Chosen and Sylvarant's only hope for regeneration, her early life was somewhat sheltered in order to protect her. She is rather clueless, as she often misses some things that are obvious to everyone else. However, she knows what it means to be kind to people and is able to "smile and forgive" (as Presea puts it) almost anything. Colette has a tendency to hide her problems from others, such as her Chronic Angelus Crystallus Inofficium. This often annoys Lloyd since he wants to help her, but Colette hates making others worry for any reason. It is implied that she has romantic feelings for Lloyd, but, being as she is, she prefers not to say so. Instead, she loyally stays by Lloyd's side, subliminally letting her behavior speak for itself. Colette is primarily a ranged fighter and fights using two chakram. (Source: Wikipedia)

Nana Mizuki

Genius Sage

Utama

Male · Umur 12

Genius is a child prodigy from Iselia. He is Lloyd's best friend, and the younger brother of Iselia's schoolteacher Refill. Because of his actions, he and Lloyd are exiled from Iselia, and the two join Colette's Journey of Regeneration. Genius is a great cook, like Regal. Genius also holds a deep crush on Presea Combatir, which begins as soon as he first sees her. He tries to hide it for a little while, but his feelings for Presea soon become apparent to the party. Genius is a magic-user, and fights with powerful elemental attacks. He casts spells by way of a kendama, using it to help him focus and attack enemies as well.

Ai Orikasa

Kratos Aurion

Utama

Male · Umur 28

Kratos is displayed as a cold and heartless mercenary in the game, though is also an expert in swordsmanship, a fact that makes Lloyd angry. The only thing he has in mind at the beginning of the game is to protect Colette, as that is what he is assigned to do. However, as the journey processes, Kratos begins to open up a little, giving out hints about a past where he did a terrible mistake. Throughout the early stages of the game, Kratos displays outstanding knowledge of the ancient world, raising Refill's suspicions as to his true intentions.

Fumihiko Tachiki

Refill Sage

Utama

Female · Umur 23

Refill is Genius' older sister and Iselia's schoolteacher. Refill is calm and levelheaded, but is overly fascinated around ruins of any kind. She raised Genius from childhood all by herself, and doesn't hesitate in resorting to physical violence to teach Lloyd or Genius a lesson. Refill is the complete opposite of Genius in cooking, and tends to make rather repulsive food, as noted by Lloyd and several other members. She takes comments about her cooking straight to heart and usually loses her temper. Refill is a classic staff-wielding healer, and is also gifted with light-element offensive spells and stat augmentations. (Source: Wikipedia)

Yumi Touma

Sheena Fujibayashi

Utama

Female · Umur 19

Sheena is a beautiful woman from the flourishing world of Tethe'alla. She is originally sent to Sylvarant by the Pope and the King with orders to assassinate Colette, but events cause her to end up joining the party instead. Sheena is tough but kindhearted, and is always accompanied by Corrine, a man-made Summon Spirit. She's also the person Zelos loves to flirt with most, but she usually manages to rebuff him. At the age of nine, Sheena ventured to the Temple of Lightning with people from Mizuho in order to form a pact with Volt, the Summon Spirit of Lightning. In some ways, Sheena is a stereotypical teenager, switching between refusing to admit her feelings and trying hard to do so. She has a constant irritation with Zelos, as there are mentions of past conflicts. Sheena is a fair melee fighter, and fights using magic-infused cards. (Source: Wikipedia)

Akemi Okamura

Zelos Wilder

Utama

Male · Umur 22

Height: 179 cm (5'10") Weapon Sword, Dagger Zelos is the Chosen One from Tethe'alla. He is rarely serious and acts as a comic relief for the group, always ready to cheer the party up at heavy-hearted moments. Quite the ladies' man (one of his possible titles is called Gigolo, which he gets by speaking to every female character in the world, while another, Casanova, can be received by his being in a party with three female characters), he has the ability to charm every woman he sees, who in turn give him gifts (the player will be able to take this advantage in the game). Zelos is quite handsome, and approaches most situations hoping to meet or impress any pretty girls nearby. He takes almost every opportunity to hit on his female team members, much to their annoyance, especially given the nicknames he gives them. He gets along poorly with Genis, whom he considers a brat. However, he is actually quite perceptive, and can be surprisingly sensitive at times.

Masaya Onosaka

Presea Combatir

Utama

Age: 12 (physically), 28 (mentally) Height: 138 cm Weight: 24 kg Weapons: A giant axe Hometown: Ozette Presea is a quiet, little girl who lives in the little town Ozette in Tethe'alla. When the party first meets her, she is the victim of an Exsphere lacking a proper Key Crest. She agreed to Rodyle to take part in an experiment as her sister Alicia had left for Altamira, and their father, Sieg, had become too ill to continue work as a lumberjack. She just wanted to be strong enough to take her father's place but everything went out of control. After the experiment, Presea lost her emotions and her growth stopped; she didn't realize what was happening around her causing her to behave robotically.

Houko Kuwashima

Regal Bryant

Utama

A convict sent by the Pope of Tethe'alla to capture Colette, Regal joins the party after he recognizes Presea. He is a kind and noble soul, and a very talented cook (unusual, given that he doesn't use his bound hands for much else). He is very content with being alone, although he does enjoy company and conversation, especially with Lloyd. Lloyd idolizes Regal: he claims that he hopes to grow up and be a "cool adult" like him. He is a strong fighter, supplementing his melee capabilities with a small amount of healing (chi) magic. He fights exclusively with his feet, and uses greaves to enhance the power of his kicks. Before he donned his trademark shackles, Regal mainly fought using his hands; he claims that his strength and mastery of this previous style far surpassed those of the techniques he uses now. (WIKI)

Akio Ootsuka

Yuan Ka-Fai

Pendukung

Yuan is a half-elf double agent—the leader of the Renegades, an organization opposing Cruxis, and one of the Four Seraphim of Cruxis. He pretends to be loyal to Mithos so he can learn Cruxis's plans and thwart them. When he is busy working for Mithos, Yuan leaves the control of the Renegades to Botta, his lieutenant. 4,000 years before the game begins, Yuan journeyed with Mithos and his companions in the past to end the Kharlan War and was engaged to Martel before she was killed. She asked Mithos and Yuan to make the world a better place and to stop the half-elf discrimination before she died. Mithos tried to do this, but not in the way Martel had intended. Yuan knew that Martel didn't want her wish to be fulfilled in the way Mithos interpreted and thus tries to stop him. Later on, he helps the Chosen's group defeat Mithos, and is thus something of an anti-hero. Yuan is resilient in his views and calculative. He firmly decides to subvert Mithos unlike Kratos, but also decides to covertly do it in order to keep close to Mithos. Lloyd and Yuan are shown in contrast to each other, despite their similar goals, with their methods being the focal point. Yuan's methods tend to be more cut-throat, and he is willing to sacrifice and harm others if necessary, while Lloyd consistently goes out of his way to find solutions that don't harm his friends or any innocents. Mithos Yggdrasill

Pendukung

Male · Umur 4000

Minami Takayama

Martel Yggdrasill

Pendukung

Martel is Mithos's sister and one of the four seraphims and the apparent deity worshiped by the Church of Martel—a monotheistic religion, with aspects derived from the real-life Roman Catholic Church. The Church is nearly identical in both the worlds of Tethe'alla and Sylvarant, save for the hierarchical system present in Tethe'alla which has a Pope as its spiritual leader. Martel is a half elf and was banished from Heimdall along with Mithos. She was murdered by a human who was attempting to take control of Mana. After her death, Mithos places Martel's soul in the Great Seed with the use of a Cruxis Crystal. Mithos then seeks to revive Martel no matter the consequences. Near the end of the game, Mithos succeeds in doing so, but Martel admonishes him for the actions he has done. After the germination of the great seed, Martel's soul merged with the great seed's soul. She then becomes the Summon Spirit of Yggdrasil, the new World Tree of Mana that Lloyd names at the end of the game as proof of the pact between them; although the name Lloyd chose is never mentioned, It is presumed to be "Yggdrasil" as that is the World Tree's name in Tales of Phantasia.

Seles Wilder

Pendukung

Seles is the half-sister of Zelos Wilder. She has been easily susceptible to illness for most of her life, and because of her poor constitution, she relies on an Exsphere through the events of the first game to allow her to function normally on a day to day basis. (Source: Aselia, Tales of Wiki)
