Ika Musume

Utama

Female

A squid girl who claims to be "A Messenger of the Sea". Frustrated about her ocean being polluted by human beings, she planned to conquer the world to exact revenge on humanity. However, she soon realizes that she doesn't stand a chance against anyone, as she is clueless about the surface and is alone in her conquest. As a result of breaking a side of a beach house's wall during her invasion, she is forced to work there and learns more about humans and their ways. She is known to be very stubborn, insists that eventually she'll be able to conquer humanity, has a fear of sharks and whales, loves shrimp, can spew out ink at will, and can use her blue hair as tentacles.

Hisako Kanemoto

Eiko Aizawa

Utama

Female

A girl who works at the Lemon Beach House alongside her older sister. After Ika fails to invade the surface, she forces them to work for her to pay off a part of the wall she destroyed. She is the younger sister to Chizuru Aizawa and older sister to Takeru Aizawa. She is typically the one who is the most annoyed by Squid Girl's antics, getting easily frustrated with them and not showing much concern for her well-being or safety.

Ayumi Fujimura

Chizuru Aizawa

Utama

Female

Chizuru is the proud owner and manager of the Lemon Beach House. She is Eiko Aizawa and Takeru Aizawa's eldest sister. Unlike her sister, Chizuru is much calmer and cares more for Ika. She tends to be more quiet and reserved, and she's almost always shown with shut eyes and a smile no matter the situation. However, if something occurs which she does not agree with, she has a darker violent side of herself: Being shown to have a terrifying, menacing aura coupled with a very dark mindset towards anyone unfortunate enough to make her mad. Whenever she is angry, she 'opens' her eyes, usually to freak out or intimidate the person (or squid) she is angry at.

Ika does not return Sanae's affections, and is often disgusted by Sanae's attempts to approach her, to the point where she often hit them away with their tentacles and spray them with ink. This doesn't help however, as Sanae seems to exhibit a strange masochistic pleasure out of this.
