Kind-hearted and even a bit nosy, doing his best for everyone! He loves adventure! He's adamant about walls, curtains, and high places, climbing everywhere. Also incredibly curious! He's gotten into some dangerous situations by sneaking into interesting places. He'll nibble on anything with his strong front teeth, but sometimes he'll bite something precious and get told off. (Hamsters can't help it, though, because if they don't chew, their teeth will overgrow.) He loves singing, dancing, and sunflower seeds ♥

Height: 12cm He's a stray hamster living in the park, but he's like the big brother to everyone. Having lived alone, he knows a lot about the town and nature. His ear was torn off by a cat. He's great at digging tunnels with a shovel. Taishoo-kun is the one who built the Hamsters' underground house. Looks scary, but he's actually kind and takes good care of others. But he gets nervous around girls he likes. He shares a strong bond of friendship with Hamtarou, who is brave and always looks out for his friends.

Height: 7.5 cm Owned by Maria-chan. She is a somewhat unworldly hamster who loves her blue ribbons, but she is not above getting dirty when she needs to help her friends, and has been known to be generous and helpful. She used to live in France before moving to where she is now, but she feels attached to Japan and has even refused to go back to France. She also has a crush on Hamtarou, though he is quite oblivious to this fact.

Height: 10 cm Owned by Kana. One of Hamtarou's best friends in the series, he has the biggest appetites of the Ham-Hams, and also has a crush on Jajahamu-chan. Koushi-kun is frightened easily and loves to eat. He often carries around his special sunflower seed. He has a talent for tarot card reading, which soon attracts the girls, much to the dismay of the other boys. Most of the time, Koushi-kun's predictions come true, especially for Taishoo-kun (and usually end in Taishoo-kun getting hurt in some way).
