Ai Orikasa

Mihoshi Kuramitsu

Utama

Female

A First-Class Detective with the Galaxy Police, she is known as a "genius of coincidence"—inexplicable phenomena tend to occur around her for some reason. She headed to Earth to apprehend a criminal but met with an accident, leading her to become a live-in guest at the Masaki household. In anime installments other than Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, she has a partner named Kiyone. She and Kiyone—who is level-headed (though prone to sudden outbursts of passion)—form a duo whose "straight man/funny man" dynamic rivals that of professional stand-up comedians; their interactions feature perfectly timed banter, complete with Kiyone’s trademark slaps and Mihoshi’s evasive maneuvers. In Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, her partner is Noike Sakutsuki. Their relationship is best described as that of a "highly capable, perfect older sister" (Noike) and a "ditzy younger sister" (Mihoshi).

Sasami has appeared in every Tenchi Muyo! series, as well as/including several spinoffs based around her as the central protagonist. In almost every incarnation her personality, background, primary outfits, relationships, and abilities change. In some incarnations, her art style is altered more than others, though her basic coloring and structure remaining the same. In the Pretty Sammy series Sasami is called Sasami Kawai, an ordinary japanese girl who receives magical powers by Tsunami and transform into the magical girl Pretty Sammy.

Chisa Yokoyama

Ayeka Masaki Jurai

Utama

Female · Gol. darah A

Height: 161cm She is the First Princess of the planet Jurai. By blood, she is the great-aunt of the protagonist, Tenchi. A princess who had been searching for her fiancé—who was also her older half-brother, Youshou—after he went missing following a battle with Ryouko, a space pirate who had attacked Jurai. Driven by her longing for Youshou—and terrified by the fact that he was on the verge of being declared legally dead, leading to a flood of political marriage proposals that threatened to force her into a union against her will—she fled Jurai aboard her ship. She entrusted the ship's control to the Royal Tree governing the vessel and her personal guardians, Azaka and Kamidake, instructing them to "wake me up if you find a clue about my brother," before entering cold sleep and drifting through space as a self-imposed recluse. She eventually arrived on Earth, where she encountered Ryouko—the very person responsible for her brother's disappearance—and was forced into combat. She, along with her younger sister Sasami, ended up living as a houseguest at Tenchi's home. At first, she clashed with Tenchi, unable to adjust to her new environment (and influenced by Tenchi telling her that "Youshou was my ancestor and passed away long ago"). However, experiencing Tenchi's kindness caused her to open her guarded heart. She excels at sewing (since weaving is a major industry on Jurai, sewing is an essential skill for members of the royal family—though, in reality, the Royal Tree usually does the work), but she possesses absolutely no talent for cooking. Though naive and ladylike, Ayeka possesses formidable hidden combat capabilities. She becomes hysterical when dealing with Ryouko—who is also her romantic rival—leading to constant bickering between the two. Despite this, they seem to get along surprisingly well; there are even scenes in the story where the two share drinks together. ...As can be glimpsed from numerous incidents—ranging from the episode involving her factor transformation to her flight from Jurai and the destruction of the Seto Bridge—she possesses a headstrong, impulsive nature that leaves her blind to the big picture. She is a natural-born "grave-digger" who has had a knack for causing all sorts of trouble since childhood.

Yumi Takada

Kiyone Makibi

Utama

Female · Umur 23 · Gol. darah A

Height: 174cm A Class-1 Detective with the Galaxy Police. She appears as Mihoshi's partner. Across all her appearances, she remains a long-suffering voice of reason who constantly finds herself in dire straits after being dragged into Mihoshi's antics—specifically, Mihoshi's extreme airheadedness (or "probability skew," to use the series' terminology). She was originally a brilliant, cool, and beautiful career woman—albeit a rather rigid one—but her luck ran out when she met and was partnered with Mihoshi. As she was constantly pushed around by Mihoshi's outrageous behavior, she strayed far from her elite career path and eventually devolved into a bit of a bungler herself. Consequently, she makes no secret of her hostility toward her partner, often snapping, "I'm going to kill her someday!" Yet, Mihoshi's airheaded antics inevitably disarm her and sap her will to kill, leaving her to grudgingly help out instead. At the same time, however, Mihoshi is someone with whom she can truly be herself—someone she doesn't need to put on a front for—making their relationship one of genuine ease. Ultimately, the two settled into a bickering "comedy duo" dynamic (with Kiyone as the straight man and Mihoshi as the funny one), effectively claiming the dubious honor of being "top-tier comedians of the Galaxy Police." They eventually came to be known collectively as "MihoKiyo."

Nagi

Pendukung

Female

Nagi is a bounty hunter with a fierce reputation who has lost but one target in her distinguished career — the space pirate Ryouko — and wishes to wipe that blemish off an otherwise perfect record. Traveling with her cabbit Ken-Ohki, Nagi makes a living hunting down wanted criminals in the galaxy. So far, she has only one quarry to have eluded her - Ryouko. She had tracked the space pirate to Earth, where she had taken Tenchi Masaki hostage, thinking he and Ryouko were lovers. Originally, the two were to fight in space, but a complication occurred, Ken-Ohki and Ryou-Ohki had fallen in love and would not fire upon each other. So a "wild west" setting was created by Washuu on the planet Venus so that the two would fight it out. It ended with Ryouko about to kill Nagi, but the cabbits intervened; Ken-Ohki threatening to fight and Ryou-Ohki begging her to spare Nagi. So Ryouko released the bounty hunter. Unlike Ryouko, Nagi does not have any superhuman abilities. She instead relies on advanced technology, such as an energy sword and whip, and her excellent fighting skills to compensate for Ryouko's sheer power.

Ken-Ohki is Nagi's cabbit partner. Like Ryo-Ohki, Ken-Ohki can transform himself in a space battleship, although the configuration and color is slightly different than Ryo-Ohki. And like Ryo-Ohki, Ken-Ohki has developed a love of carrots. Ken-Ohki and Ryo-Ohki also love each other, which complicates Nagi's almost obsessive quest to capture Ryouko. But this love had also saved Nagi from being killed by Ryouko.
