Karakter & Staf

Shuuichi Shindou

Utama

Male · Umur 19 · Gol. darah AB

Height: 165 cm (5' 5") Shuichi's beginning ambition in the series is to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Ryuichi Sakuma, the lead singer of the band Nittle Grasper, by creating his own successful music band named Bad Luck. Initially, Eiri Yuki treats Shuichi coldly, but Shuichi perseveres through Yuki's cold behaviour and eventually the two begin a relationship after Shuchi helps Yuki through his tragic past and the events related to, Kitazawa Yuki. Shuichi's band also begins to rise in fame, and a major portion of the series focuses on his attempts to balance the demands of his job with his pursuit of Eiri's affections. Shuichi has an innocent and energetic personality that is indicative of the uke stereotype. This is amplified in the anime, where he frequently goes into super deformed mode, which often ruins serious scenes. Despite this hyper activeness, he also shows determination and preserverance when he buckles down and focuses on what he wants. This is evident in his zeal to get to the top of the charts with Bad Luck and his aggressive pursuit of his love interest Eiri Yuki.

Tomokazu Seki

Eiri Uesugi

Utama

Male · Umur 22 · Gol. darah AB

Height: 186 cm (6'1") Eiri Uesugi is a popular romance novelist from Kyoto. He met Shuichi Shindou in the park and mercilessly dismissed his song lyrics. Through coincidence, the two kept bumping into each other and eventually came together romantically. Eiri and Shuichi struggle with their celebrity status and mercurial relationship. Yuki is a young writer, an idol of women for his charisma, typical of a popular person. Despite his award-winning talent for writing love stories, he is not very emotional. He is sarcastic and caustic to everyone around him. His personality is most likely the result of the Kitazawa incident, because when he was a teenager he had a bright, easygoing personality, much like how Shuichi is now.

Kazuhiko Inoue

Yasunori Matsumoto

Tohma Seguchi

Utama

Male · Gol. darah B

Height: 5'7" Keyboard player in Nittle Grasper and Mika Seguchi's husband. He is the head of N-G recording company and demands the best from all his contractual bands. Tohma is very protective of Eiri Yuki, and blames himself for the trauma Eiri suffered as a teenager, seeing that he was the one who hired Yuki Kitazawa in the first place. He is unfailably polite to the point where he will refer to anybody (including his wife) as -san, and appears to be a friendly and even-tempered person. As the series goes on, it becomes evident that much of this is a carefully constructed mask: when Eiri is involved, Tohma has been known to be far from rational and soft-spoken.

Ai Orikasa

Suguru Fujisaki

Pendukung

Male · Umur 16 · Gol. darah A

Height: 160 cm (5'3") Birthplace: Tokyo Suguru is hired as Bad Luck's keyboard player. Though he usually fakes being polite to others, young Suguru is quite similar to his cousin, Tohma Seguchi, despite his unfortunate proclivity for being controlled by others. While only sixteen years old, but he has incredible talent - and knows it. Suguru knows Eiri Yuki's past as well, but it seems that Yuki also knows a bit about Suguru himself: he has commented before about Suguru "hiding his real identity".

Fujiko Takimoto

Tatsuha Uesugi

Pendukung

Male · Umur 16 · Gol. darah AB

Tatsuha is Eiri's brother, who has the same voice (though not the same seiyū) and characteristics as his older brother, but with black hair and eyes. Tatsuha is obsessed with Ryūichi and watches his Nittle Grasper video repetitively. He's quite the perverted and obsessive fan, not to mention a 16-year-old monk.

Hideo Ishikawa

Sakano

Pendukung

Male · Umur 29 · Gol. darah A

Height: 5'9" Sakano is a producer and a former manager of Bad Luck band, and also Tohma Seguchi's right hand. He's prone to panicking and, in one scene, he tries to jump out of the window 'cause he's a failure as a manager. He holds Tohma in high regard. (Source: Absolute Anime)

Takehito Koyasu

Claude Winchester

Pendukung

Male · Gol. darah B

Ryuichi's former manager and now the manager for Bad Luck, K is aggressive in promoting the band--he even carries around a big gun and hand grenades. His concern is first and foremost Bad Luck, but in his shaping of the band's career, he ends up involving himself in Eiri and Shuichi's relationship. He is American, and in the original Japanese version, they played on the stereotype that Americans always have guns and will pull them out any time, any place. K often speaks English mixed in with his Japanese. K's real name is Claude K. Winchester. Also in the manga it is shown that K has a family; he has a wife named Judy Winchester, and a son named Michael Winchester.

Ryoutarou Okiayu

Ryuuichi Sakuma

Pendukung

Male · Gol. darah B

Ryuuichi was the vocalist for the legendary band Nittle Grasper, along with Noriko Ukai and Tohma Seguchi. However, they disbanded three years ago and Ryuichi went to America to persue a solo career. There he met Mr K (Crawd Winchester) who became his manager. Later on, he returned to Japan where Nittle Grasper regrouped and caused rivalry for Shuichi's band, Bad Luck. Tatsuha Uesugi, is obsessed with him. (Source: Wikipedia) Most of the time Ryuichi looks and acts like a little boy but once he starts singing, he changes into a totally cool guy. He's bad at Japanese but good at english. He's nice to everyone. Even when Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper were up as rivals, he still treated Shuichi as a friend and helped him out a lot. He could be seen as a little naive but that's why he's so sweet.

Noriko Ukai

Pendukung

Female · Gol. darah O

Noriko used to be the keyboard player for Nittle Grasper, but joins Bad Luck for a bit on Tohma's request. Once Nittle Grapser gets back together, though, she leaves for good.
