Karakter & Staf — A Little Princess Sara

Sara Crewe

Utama

Female

Sara is a young (seven at the series' beginning) English girl who has lived in India for most of her life. While her mother is dead, she loves her wealthy father dearly and is sad to leave him to attend boarding school. However, she is very optimistic and is able to make the best of her situation even when tragedy threatens to strike. Sara prefers reading to most traditional childhood games and can read books that are much harder than one would expect a little girl to read. Because of this, she's also extremely intelligent, and quickly becomes the school's star pupil. She has a huge imagination which she uses to make up stories that captivate her classmates. When she's in bad situations, she also uses her talent to imagine that things are better.

Sumi Shimamoto

Maria Minchin

Pendukung

The cruel head of the seminary, Miss Minchin is not fond of Sara but treats her well thanks to her rich father.

Taeko Nakanishi

Lavinia Herbert

Pendukung

Lavinia deeply dislikes Sara due to all the attention she gets, and bullies her frequently. However, Sara does not let Lavina's taunts get to her.

Eiko Yamada

Becky

Pendukung

A maid at Miss Minchin's school. Becky is quite poor, as evidenced both by her crude accent and need to work at her young age. She is a hard worker even though she makes mistakes. Sara's stories enchant her as soon as she hears them, and Sara is the only one of the girls who accepts her as a friend.

Teiyuu Ichiryuusai

Peter

Pendukung

The respectful, but a bit silly driver of Sara's coach.

Chika Sakamoto

Ermengarde St. John

Pendukung

Ermengarde is frequently the laughingstock of the school thanks to her apparent inability to remember anything she learns in class. It's made worse by the fact that her father is extremely studious and simply can't see why he has such a dimwitted child. Still, Ermengarde makes up for this with her kind and loyal heart.

Maki Yaosaha

Lottie Legh

Pendukung

Lottie had been spoiled since she was born and as a result became a crybaby who would make a fuss if the slightest thing went wrong. Sara is always able to stop her even her worse tantrums -- when she cries that she doesn't have a mother -- because of her stories of the beautiful heaven their dead mothers now live in. As a result, Sara has been dubbed Lottie's mamma in the seminary.

Naoko Watanabe

Amelia Minchin

Pendukung

Miss Minchin's younger sister, Amelia also works at the school but it's clear that her sister is the boss. Amelia is kind and wants the best for the students, but can't always accomplish that as she is extremely submissive.
