Karakter & Staf — Transformers: Robots in Disguise

Convoy

Utama

Male

The leader Cybertrons (Autobots). A wise, father-like leader whose unmatched bravery and compassion serve to inspire his robot and human allies alike and strike fear into the hearts of his enemies, the Destron (Decepticons). His signature weapon is the Laser Rifle (レーザーライフル ), also known as the Ion Blaster in the US. In most incarnations, his alternate mode is a truck, although its exact model tends to vary depending on the entry. His love interest is Elita-One (AKA Ariel) and his lifelong rival is Megatron. Note: He is often distinguished from other characters bearing the Convoy title by being referred to as G1 Convoy.

Side Burn

Utama

The youngest and fastest of the Autobot Brothers, Side Burn rockets down highways in his Dodge Viper mode for fun, in pursuit of an enemy - or chasing after his latest flame. Because that's Side Burn's greatest weakness: the ladies. Every time he sees a little red sports car, he's falls in love all over again, but can't seem to comprehend that Earth cars aren't alive. Despite his flaws, he is a courageous and sympathetic Autobot, always ready to defend those whom he cares about. He also displays a sense of humor, something he thinks his older siblings lack. (From Wikipedia)

X-Brawn

Utama

The eldest of the three Autobot Brothers. X-Brawn loves extremes and can handle any type of environment, from desert to blizzard, and can traverse some of the toughest terrain. He lives for the thrill, and can often be found climbing the tallest towers in the city in car mode, using his winch to pull himself up the buildings. He is a martial arts master, and has enormous strength in his left arm, which he uses to execute lariats (a pro-wrestling maneuverer) on his Predacon opposition. X-Brawn is a bot of few words, but is very reliable. When Optimus Prime's brother, Ultra Magnus, came to Earth and forced Prime into a combination that allowed him to share the power of the Matrix, Magnus's link to the Matrix resulted in him inadvertently channeling its energy in the midst of a battle. That energy involved Prowl, Side Burn and X-Brawn, "supercharging" them into newly-colored, more powerful bodies. After a brief amount of training, Prowl and the others were soon able to control this new ability, shifting to "Supercharge Mode" when an extra power boost was needed in battle. Their supercharged modes afforded them no advantage in their final battle with Galvatron, however, as they were strung up and had their energy drained by the villain, until Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus challenged him to a final battle at the Earth's core, and defeated the villain. Sky-Byte

Utama

In some ways, Sky-Byte is one of the central characters on the show. All he wants is for Megatron to see him as the loyal and dependable warrior that he really is, and he goes to great lengths to prove his resourcefulness to him. Although heralded as one of the mightiest Predacon warriors, Sky-Byte has summarily failed to live up to his hype during Megatron's campaign on Earth. Unfortunately for Sky-Byte, things seldom turn out as he has planned them - if it isn't the Autobots who thwart his plans, it is the three fools he has under him. And then there's the new threat, Scourge; that ingratiating newcomer who tries to assume his place as Megatron's second-in-command. (From Wikipedia)

KONTA

Black Convoy

Utama

Male

Leader of the Combatrons, a ruthless and no-nonsense - albeit short-tempered and megalomaniac - field commander serving as Gigatron's second-in-command. Originally a Cybertron warrior sent to Earth to help reactivate Brave Maximus, following a crash-landing him and his crew would revert to protoforms and enter stasis, remaining in this state until their discovery and subsequent awakening by Gigatron, who allowed them to adapt new identities by scanning new alternate modes. In Black Convoy's case, his intended alternate mode was a tanker truck - however, due to an accident, his stasis pod would also scan Fire Convoy himself, resulting in him strongly resembling the Cybertron leader and resenting him from this point onward. In the Legends manga, he gains an assistant in the form of Dark Ai, who sometimes acts as his voice of reason. Note: In the US adaptation of Car Robots, he was renamed to Scourge.

Taiten Kusunoki

Koji Onishi

Utama

Son of Doctor Kenneth Onishi (Daichi Ōnishi) (voiced by Kirk Thornton), Koji allied himself with the Autobots after his father was kidnapped by Megatron, offering them advice and knowledge about Earth. A bright child, Koji has learned a lot about archeology from his father, though he possesses no special powers, beyond a startling knack for being right where he needs to be, in the middle of coincidental Predacon attacks. When Dr. Onishi was freed from Megatron's clutches, it seemed Koji's role in the Transformer war was over, until he found himself able to control Fortress Maximus. (From Wikipedia)

Akiko Kimura

Utama

Female

The operating program for the Cybertrons' base, occasionally acting as Fire Convoy's secretary, meant to make communication with human allies easier. Although she serves as an extension of the base's systems, she's not completely devoid of emotion, blushing when Speedbreaker mentions her relationship with Convoy, as well as accidentally revealing sensitive information to the Destrongers. She's also tasked with running the elaborate Cybertron Net, a complex system of underground tunnels that allow the Cybertrons to quickly travel to any location on Earth. Although she's able to float, Fire Convoy tends to kneel in order to talk to her. In Binaltech Asterisk pack-in story pages, it's revealed that her appearance is based on a human police officer named Ai Kuruma (来留間アイ). In the Legends manga, a clone of her accompanies Black Convoy. In the US dub, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, she's stated to be the "daughter of Teletraan 1", the Autobots'/Cybertrons' main computer from Generation 1.

Chieko Higuchi

Gigatron

Utama

Male

The destructive and malicious leader of the Destrongers who arrives on Earth as part of his plan to find Brave Maximus. He's able to change into six alternate modes.

Youichi Kobiyama

Ironhide

Pendukung

The character designers for the cartoon redesigned Ironhide's body, which is now the best-known of all his appearances. Despite being known for being part of the Autobot security detail and Optimus Prime's bodyguard, Ironhide was most often seen in the capacity of a warrior, often fighting in battle without Optimus Prime, or a specific worksite/person/cargo to protect. He was also used as an officer, leading a team of Autobots just as would Optimus's advisors, Prowl and Jazz. Ironhide seemed to develop a bond with the Autobots' human allies, engaging with them on a friendly basis as much as protecting them. Ironhide was good friends with the female Autobot Chromia.

Prowl

Pendukung

Prowl is an Autobot of many virtues - he is quiet, competent, loyal, and possessed of almost endless patience. When Optimus Prime appoints Prowl a task, he can be guaranteed that it will be completed to the best of Prowl's ability. Prowl is not given to speculation or estimation - the only realm in which he will work is that of the proven fact; if he can't explain it, he will not believe it. He hates doubt, and strives to make a situation as simple and logical as possible, purging excesses of concern from his mind by going to Optimus Prime for assurance. Prowl is friendly, but only as a listener; as a talker, he is not so sociable, entering a conversation usually only when someone makes an unreasonable remark, and demanding an explanation. Prowl's logic center is unquestionably the most powerful of all the Autobots', giving him the ability to analyze any combat situation almost instantaneously and then advise on the optimal course of action - a skill that makes him eminently suited to his role as the Autobots' military strategist and analyst. For example, he can compute the paths of movement of 800 separate moving objects and determine the proper countermove in half a second. In robot mode, he is armed with a pair of shoulder-mounted cannons which fire wire-guided incendiary missiles, and a semi-automatic rifle that shoots pellets filled with a highly corrosive acid. He transforms into a police car version of a Datsun Fairlady 280ZX. Prowl's straightforward mind means that non-linear thinking is one of his biggest weaknesses. Irrational situations and thought processes can sometimes scramble his circuits to the extent that his mind will briefly shut down. Prowl was one of the many Autobots killed in the 1986 film. In the year 2005, when the Autobots had been forced off of Cybertron and were based out of Autobot City on Earth and two orbiting moonbases, Prowl, Ironhide, Ratchet and Brawn were dispatched to Earth to collect a shipment of Energon Cubes that would power the Autobots' subsequent strike at the Decepticons. Getting wind of the plan, Megatron and his forces attacked their shuttle, and a single direct hit from Scavenger's weapon penetrated Prowl's armor, melting his internal workings and ending his life. His recovered body was laid to rest in the Autobots' deep-space mausoleum, which was later destroyed.

Takayuki Kondou

Movor

Pendukung

Movor transforms into a combat space-shuttle, and is capable of achieving planetary orbit under his own power. He carries detection equipment so he can search for Autobots from orbit, and is equipped with a powerful, long-range x-ray laser that allows him to attack them from that distance. He is somewhat pompous about his abilities, something which irritates his teammates. Movor has excellent heat-resistance. He combines with his fellow Combiners to form the giant robot Ruination. (From Wikipedia)

Rapid Run

Pendukung

Rapid Run is eager, enthusiastic, and proud. He is a remarkable warrior, often taking on multiple foes with unrelenting courage (though this could be attributed to his hot-headed attitude). He is very competitive and likes to think of Team Bullet Train as the Autobot's elite force, and of himself as the fastest of all the Autobots. Rapid Run can change to a 700 Series Shinkansen Rail Star bullet train engine. He is armed with a grenade launcher, and can fire large, powerful missiles from his Deflector Shield, which deflects attacks. He forms the lower body and back of Rail Racer.

Eiji Takemoto

Midnight Express

Pendukung

Midnight Express is the youngest of the three members in the bullet train team. He is cheerful, friendly and eternally upbeat in the company of his friends, but harsh in the presence of enemies. Midnight Express transforms to an E4 Series Shinkansen bullet train engine. He is equipped with high temperature missiles, and his shoulders can generate shearing blades of solid light, capable of slicing giant icebergs in two. He has high strength and endurance in cold weather, but is less efficient in warmer environments. He transforms into the legs of Rail Racer. (From Wikipedia)

Railspike

Pendukung

Railspike is an Autobot train. Railspike is the grizzled leader of the Team Bullet Train. He is courageous and polite, and his intelligence makes him akin to any battlefield situation. He tends to act as a peacekeeper when tempers get out of hand. Despite his apparent age, Railspike is still able to take on his enemies with incredible efficiency and skill. Railspike transforms to a 500 Series Shinkansen Nozomi bullet train engine. He is equipped with rocket launchers in his shoulders, and is capable of generating ultrasonic waves, powerful enough to take down his targets in one hit. He also fires Reflector Mines which can send an opponents attack right back at them. He forms the upper body, arms and head of Rail Racer. (From Wikipedia)

Hot Shot

Pendukung

Hot Shot is the leader of the Spy Changers. He comes across as gruff, almost rude, in his role as commander, but this is really a result of his strong concern for his subordinates. He is a personal friend of Optimus Prime, whom he has served under for millions of years. Hot Shot is armed with an adjustable fire blaster gun, which can be focused to a narrow beam or spray fire in a wide angle. An interesting point of trivia; in Car Robots, Artfire is referred to as a relative of Fire Convoy. (From Wikipedia)

Eiji Takemoto

R.E.V.

He is described as the tactical officer of the Spy Changers and Hot Shot's close advisor, as smart as he is fast and extremely observant. R.E.V. can leap from building to building with such skill that he appears to be flying, and his main weapon is a shotgun. (From Wikipedia)

W.A.R.S.

Pendukung

W.A.R.S. was the name of one of the Autobot Spy Changers. The Spy Changers are a team of six Autobot espionage specialists. The team can drive over any surface, even water, in defiance of gravity, and have optical camouflage powers that render them invisible at will. Despite their radically different personalities, the Spy Changers are a perfectly functioning unit, often relying heavily on teamwork tactics. His tech spec described him as an aggressive and battle hungry warrior. Heavily armoured, he is a good fighter, but his violent actions unnerve even his fellow Autobots. His Takara tech spec even described him as one of the few pro-war Autobot. (From Wikipedia)

Mirage

Pendukung

Mirage is one of the most unenthusiastic Autobots - he's unsure of the Autobot cause, and can't be fully trusted. But despite his doubts, Mirage is a very valuable soldier - he carries out various functions, from bodyguard duty to espionage, all of them with excellent results. Mirage is the fastest of the Spy Changers, and an excellent marksman. He is armed with a laser sniper rifle. (From Wikipedia)

Ryou Naitou

Skid-Z

Pendukung

Skid-Z first arrived on Earth in the episode "Skid-Z's Choice". Arriving from Cybertron he scanned the alternate mode of a race car driven by the deceased racer Augie Cannay. After that, he felt a compelling need to participate in any race he could, no matter what it was. Sky-Byte actually attempted to recruit the ultra-competitive Autobot into the Predacons, but Skid-Z refused. The other Autobots tried to help him, believing he was possessed by the psychic energy of Augie. Believing they could find and help Skid-Z, Optimus Prime, the Autobot Brothers, Spy Changers and Team Bullet Train entered the international Grand Prix. The race was also entered by Sky-Byte undercover as a red sports car, who saw it as a chance to destroy the Autobots. Eventually Megatron attacked the Autobots during the race, with Skid-Z having to choose between saving his fellow Autobots or winning the race. He was able to overcome his racing urges and save the day. After this, he won the race, coming in first — but mistook Koji's watch alarm as a starting signal, racing off again. He was not seen again until after Galvatron's defeat in the final episode. (From Wikipedia)

Jin Nishimura

(From Wikipedia)

Pendukung

The other Build Team Autobots look to Wedge as their leader, even though he's young. A natural leader-in-the-making. Can be reckless and make mistakes but will never jeapordize his friends. He carries a double beam guns. In addition to their use of elemental-based attacks, each "adult" member of the Build Team provides a specific style of attack which each member bring to his specific version (based on who becomes the arms) of Landfill. Heavy Load/Build Typhoon brings martial arts and strong defenses, while Grimlock/Build Hurricane provides an even mix of offense and defense. (From Wikipedia)
