Tomokazu Seki

Kaname Chidori

Utama

Female · Umur 16 · Gol. darah B

Height: 166 cm Place of Birth: Japan Kaname is the female protagonist of the series. She is often described as, 'The kind of girl everyone looks up to, but not even a boy wants as their girlfriend', as a male, fellow student put it. She's very much the loud mouth, speak your mind kind of girl; a trait she picked up when she studied abroad in the United States. Until then, she feels like she must protect Sousuke from the harsh, cruel world of high school - a place where he doesn't quite fit. Sousuke is assigned to guard her as she is one of the "Whispered". People that have in their subconscious very technologically advanced knowledge that numerous governments and other groups want to use for their own means. She often uses a paper fan to hit Sousuke, besides berating him on how the kinds of weapons he uses are not exactly proper for a high school student. While she criticizes Sousuke for being too militaristic and overprotective, she appreciates it under life or death situations. Chidori develops serious feelings for Sousuke and is dejected when he is so obtuse in such matters. Eventually Chidori confesses her love to Sousuke and the latter reciprocates it.

Satsuki Yukino

Teletha Testarossa

Utama

Female · Umur 16

Background Information: Teletha "Tessa" Testarossa is the clumsy but charming Captain of the revered TDD-1 'Tuatha de Danaan' submarine of the anti-terrorist organization 'Mithril'. She is American by birth but has lived on submarines and military bases for the majority of her life time. She is a child prodigy who rose to such a high rank at the age of only 16, has silver hair and grey eyes. She is also not very athletically inclined, but has shown to be a very good swimmer. She has an interest in Sousuke that extends beyond a professional one, generating a love triangle she shares with Sousuke Sagara and Kaname Chidori. Even though Chidori and Tessa seem to compete against each other for Sousuke, they are good friends in reality, as during several episodes they talk about Sousuke and his unique military charm. Tessa is also one of the chief designers of the TDD-1 'Tuatha de Danaan', and the creator of Dana, the submarine's Artificial Intelligence. Characteristics: Tessa has a lot of interesting qualities. Her subordinates are what she cares with the most. She is also very smart when it comes to battlefield tactics and conflicts and she displays some very impressive military prowess and strategy at several points. She also seems to have a nervous habit of playing with her ponytail. Sometimes however, as stated by Kurz Weber, "whenever Tessa was told by someone she couldn't do something, she made it a point to prove them wrong". Tessa seems to have some trouble tolerating her job at times due to the position she has. Some scenes have shown her irritated by what she does while other scenes show her slightly depressed by it. Nevertheless, she seems to have a large amount of stamina, and is able to cope with the stress of her tasks, and does a wonderful job doing so.

Kurz Weber

Pendukung

Male · Umur 19 · Gol. darah AB

Height: 180 cm Place of Birth: Japan Rank: Sergeant ID Number: B-3127 Kurz is a member of Mithril. Part of the SRT (Special Response Team) of the Tuatha de Danaan's (TDD-1) Pacific Battle Group. His call sign is Urzu-6. He is an SRT AS (Arm Slave) pilot and designated marksman, equally proficient with sniper rifles and AS long range precision cannons. It is said that he can visualize the exact trajectory of a bullet, resulting in an almost inhuman accuracy. He most often forms a three-man cell with squadmate Sousuke Sagara and squad leader Melissa Mao. He is regarded as a finicky genius, burdening the Mithril mechanics with extremely difficult to understand complaints and requests. Kurz is a Caucasian male, roughly six feet tall. He is of German descent, and sports a blond mullet and has blue eyes. He is very good looking, and combined with his outgoing personality easily befriends most people. His reputation with women in romantic terms is largely spoiled by his unflinching and overdone pursuit of "the fairer sex". Kurz can speak Japanese, English and German fluently. He had aspirations of becoming a professional blues singer before he was a soldier. From this, Kurz can sing and play the guitar quite well, entertaining the ersatz hostage Jindai High students with his rendition of "Take me out Mariana Trench" in the sixth novel, Dancing Very Merry Christmas. In the scope of the main anime and novel series, Kurz is shown being deployed in Tokyo with Melissa and Sousuke in protecting Kaname Chidori. He is known to be a hard hitter on women and speaks in vulgar and flippant language. Despite the negative attitude he has received from women, he is still Sousuke's best friend from Mithril. Kurz annoys Melissa Mao greatly due to the open nature of his sexual feelings for her. In essence, he is Sousuke's complete opposite in personality. At the time of the novel "Dancing Very Merry Christmas", 1st Lieutenant Grouseax and the newly-promoted 2nd Lieutenant Melissa Mao placed him under observation for promotion to Sergeant Major. At the time of the ninth novel and Invisible Victory, Kurz is the SRT's Sergeant Major. His alias is Kalius, a name he used during the snatch operation on Vincent Bruno during the events of The Second Raid.

Shinichirou Miki

Kyouko Tokiwa

Pendukung

Chidori's humble best friend who brings around her trusty camera. She is constantly trying to bring Chidori and Sagara together, however impossible it may seem given Sagara's tendency to blow things up at whim. However, in the novel 'Continuing On My Own', she was held hostage by Amalgam's agents as bait to lure Sousuke so they could kill him and find Kaname. Kyoko was seriously injured during the rescue attempt and is currently still recovering in the hospital after being rescued by Wraith. (Source: Wikipedia)

Ikue Kimura

Shinji Kazama

Pendukung

Sosuke's Arm Slave loving classmate. He shares the same amount of passion to AS as Sousuke and could be considered Sousuke's best school friend besides Kaname. His father is Shintaro Kazama and a secretary of Narashino's Assault Machine Troop. Shinji's love for AS began when his dad failed to become an AS pilot. As a result of his father's failure, Shinji strives to discover the result of the failure and to fulfill his father's dream of becoming a pilot. There is no indication as to what happened to his mother, but it's assumed that Shintaro is a widower before the series started.

Mamiko Noto

Andrei Kalinin

Pendukung

Sagara's commanding officer and one of Tessa's military strategists with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, fulfilling the role of Operations Director. He is also the foster father of Sagara. He and Sousuke were once enemies, as mentioned in a two part episode by Sagara himself. The foster father status may be on the school's official papers only but Kalinin is certainly a very fatherly figure to Sagara. Kalinin was formerly of the Soviet special forces - Spetsnaz - and was the leader of the team that found a crashed Japanese airliner. There was only one survivor: a three year-old child by the name of Sagara Sousuke. His wife is deceased and the whereabouts and status of the rest of his family is unknown. There is speculation that Kalinin has betrayed Mithril to Amalgam, due to his meeting with Leonard Testarossa at the end of the book 'Dancing Very Merry Christmas' and also due to his mysterious disappearance and attitude during the raid by Amalgam on Merida Island. Kalinin later appears in 'Tsudoku to Make My Day' at Leonard's villa, apparently as one of Leonard's subordinates, although his subsequent actions in the book suggest the possibility that he may be working for the anti-Leonard faction of Amalgam, or as a Mithril deep cover agent. Andrei mentioned that he had difficulty maintaining family ties, mostly with his wife, due to his time spent with the Spetsnaz. He seems to be of a family man sort and loves his wife so much that he made the Borscht (that Sousuke avoids at all costs) that his wife made him as he returns from missions. He operates under the codename Perth 1. Source: Wikipedia

Akio Ootsuka

Atsunobu Hayashimizu

Pendukung

The president of the Jindai High's Student Council. He is in his third year. He often considers Sousuke's behavior a reasonable response to the kind of situations he finds himself in, much to the frustration of Kaname; this is why he assigns Sousuke the job of Security in the Student Council. His behavior is calm and he is never seen angry. Sousuke and Hayashimizu share a mutual respect. He is also known for holding a white fan, on which various Japanese characters are written, with different words each time.

Toshiyuki Morikawa

Richard Mardukas

Pendukung

Richard Mardukas is an overly protective aide of Tessa's who insists on guarding her with his life. He holds the rank of Commander and is in charge of Mithril's TDD-1 when the Captain, Testarossa, is not on board; appropriate, given that Mardukas' position is that of Executive Officer. Mardukas is often seen wearing a hat bearing the name of the HMS Turbulent (S87), a real British submarine. Source: Wikipedia

Yuriko Yamaguchi

Belfangan Clouseau

Pendukung

SRT team's current team leader, callsign Urzu-1, first appearance in the novel 'End of Day By Days' and the 2nd anime series Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid, replacing Captain Gail McAllen after his death near the end of the novel 'Rocking into The Blue' (and subsequently, the 1st anime series). Pilot of the M9D Falke and was a part of MITHRIL's Mediterranean Sea Fleet. His first introduction into the team was kind of unorthodox, ticking off Kurz Weber and Sousuke Sagara by saying McAllen was a coward after sitting on the chair he used to sit on while in reality, McAllen was one of his most trusted teammates and a good friend. Proved himself to be an expert martial artist by incapicitating Kurz with just one move and defeating Sousuke and the Arbalest during the 'test' which he conducted. He also proved to be a capable leader when he made Sousuke understand why he lost and told him that it wasn't his skill as they were actually evenly matched in that aspect but rather his hatred for the Arbalest and tells him that an Arm Slave is like a part of their own bodies. Since then Kurz and him don't really see eye-to-eye, though they have developed a grudging respect for each other's abilities. It is also known that he & Melissa Mao have known each other since way back. His nickname from Mao was 'Bel'. He was also one of the few remaining survivors of the attack on Melida island, along with Melissa Mao, Kurz Weber, Richard Mardukas, Teletha Testarossa and most of the crew of the Tuatha de Danaan at the end of the novel 'Continuing on My Own'. In the TSR OVA, it is revealed that he is an anime otaku in his spare time. - Wikipedia

Toyota Hiace vans and uniforms to infiltrate Hong Kong and Kowloon without being caught by the North and South Chinese army and police. He can be considered to be MITHRIL's humor character as Gates is to Amalgam's since he always smile and almost never gets angry, except when he was instructed by General Amit to cease Intelligence operations in Hong Kong territory. - Wikipedia

Bin Shimada

Wraith

Pendukung

An North Korean ex-spy, who is also a master of disguise. As a member of the Intelligence Department, she was ordered to watch Kaname Chidori and protect her from serious threats. Although appearing cold at first, following her 'rescue' by Kaname Chidori from Leonard Testarossa, she has opened up slightly and secretly meets with Chidori. She also saved Sousuke and Tokiwa's lives from Amalgam members on the Jindai High School rooftop and aided in the defusing of the bomb planted on Tokiwa. She even went as far to perform emergency surgery on Tokiwa after a piece of shrapnel embedded itself inside her diaphragm and then took her to the hospital. Showing further compassion, she also allowed Kaname Chidori to give herself up to Leonard so Sousuke's life would be spared, despite violating her orders. After the events in 'Continue On My Own', she is still helping Mithril, helping Gavin Hunter to complete the construction of ARX-8 Laevatein at the end of the novel 'Burning One Man Force', and has actually helped to transport the completed Laevatein to Sousuke in the progress of 'Get Together and Make My Day'. Minori Chihara

AL

Pendukung

AL is the artificial intelligence support system which was originally part of the ARX-7 Arbalest. AL becomes permanently locked to Sousuke after his initial use of AL during the hijacking incident. Also, because the original programmer is dead it is impossible to reprogram AL to work with anyone other than Sousuke. At the beginning of the series AL is nothing more than your average arm slave operating system, but as the series progresses AL starts to develop a personality much to Sousuke's dismay. AL begins tuning into AM/FM band radio stations in an effort to expand its vocabulary, cultural understanding, and social knowledge. This all leads AL to occasionally attempt to tell Sousuke jokes, criticize Sousuke's own short comings, or make random exclamations and comments during the midst of battle. During the two "End of Day by Day" novels Sousuke and AL's conflict really comes to a head and their inability to work together causes the Arbalest's Lambda Driver to become almost completely unusable. Because of this, Sousuke begins to detest the Arbalest and asks to be allowed to pilot a regular M9 during his missions. However, by the end of the two novels they were able to eventually find a mutual respect for one another and are able to operate the Lambda Driver system at a level exceeding all previous examples. During the Novels "A Dancing Very Merry Christmas" and "Continuing On My Own" AL shows that it is now capable of preforming autonomous advanced battle maneuvers and making precision shots with the Arbalest's projectile weaponry. AL developed this ability by reviewing and analyzing all of the combat data that it has acquired while working with Sousuke over the previous 9 months. Immediately following the final battle in the novel "Continuing On My Own", AL along with the Lambda Driver is recovered from the wreckage of the destroyed Arbalest by Wraith. Towards the end of the novel "Burning One Man Force" is is discovered that Wraith has transported AL and the Arbalest's Lambda Driver to a surviving Mithril base in Anchorage, Alaska. While there AL has worked together with Sarah Miller to design and build a whole new Arm Slave tailored specifically to match Sousuke's combat style. The new AS is called the ARX-8 Laevatein, named after a legendary sword in Norse mythology called the Laevateinn. In the novel "Come Make My Day" AL and Sousuke have a one-on-one conversation where both admit that they have missed one another ever since the destruction of the Arbalest. By this time, AL appears to have "matured" enough to hold a personality mirroring that of Sousuke's (if the latter had grown up in different conditions); however, his jokes and comments have not lessen at all, keeping to the offbeat comedic mood of the Full Metal Panic! storyline.
