It is suggested that they have romantic feelings for each other or a deep friendship that has some romantic dimensions. As a Battle Lover, his given element is Earth, and he transforms into "Roaring Prince, Battle Lover Sulphur" (Todoroki Ouji, Battle Lover Sulphur).

Wombat is a creature that came to Earth from a faraway planet. It came to the planet with the mission to fill it with love, and is responsible for enroling (unwillingly) the 5 protagonists into the duty of Battle Lovers. Wombat is not its true name, but a nickname given by the Battle Lovers, because not only it looks like the animal the name references, but because its true name is not understandable. To fit in with society, it uses the school's homeroom teacher, Mr. Tawarayama's, dead body as a sort of shell it can control at will and can prevent its decay, so long as it stays nearby. The boys call him Wombat, given that his name is untranslatable. As for season 2, he no longer minds it, even referring to himself as Wombat. Besides being one of the leading figures in the Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE! franchise, he also had an appearance in episode 5 of the Robihachi anime, where he is the feared Boss of the underworld of planet Haccone. As these anime mostly share the same producer Pony Canyon and the same animation studio studio comet, this appearance might either confirm that these anime belong to the same universe or that it's just seen to be a reference to their other production(s).

Kinshiro Kusatsu is a 3rd year at Binan High School. He is the student council president of Binan High School, and has the best grades in his graduating class. He is the childhood friend of Atsushi Kinugawa. His given colour is Gold, his attribute is Light, and he transforms into "The Golden Chevalier, Shining in Radiance, Orite". His attribute being Light is important because he is the direct contrast to Yumoto Hakone, who is the Scarlet Prince, prince of Light. Whereas, Yumoto embodies the warmth and radiance of Light, Kinshiro represents "blinding light" such as extravagance and corrupted power, and coldness.
