Deedlit

Utama

Female

Deedlit is a High Elf from the Faery Realm. She has a great appreciation for nature, and her magic always exhibits elemental forces, such as wind and water. She also wields a thin elven sword. She can be incredibly fast and can match the attacks of dark elves like Pirotess. Despite her occasional haughtiness (especially to Ghim), Deedlit is quite knowledgeable, always cautioning her comrades of potential dangers. She also has a fascination with and affection for Parn, and it greatly frustrates her when he doesn't seem to return her attention. Throughout the ambiguous development of their relationship she remains loyal to him and stays by his side regardless. As a High Elf, Deedlit possesses eternal life, making her a target for the dark wizard Wagnard, who requires a High Elf sacrifice to complete the ritual to revive the goddess of darkness, Kardis.

Yumi Touma

Parn

Utama

Parn grew up in a more or less peaceful village, with the only real concern being a nearby goblin tribe. As a child, he was ostracised by the others, because his father had a black mark against his name (although the details are never discussed), and was killed in a war with the country of Flaim before his name could be restored. Growing up, Parn idolized his father, remembering him as a great man, despite what the others had to say about him and knowing him only as a man of honor. Never knowing the circumstances of his father's fall from grace, he knew his father only as a kind and gentle man with a warrior's spirit. Parn had a best friend by the name of Etoh, who left the village to become a priest of Falis, the Supreme God, a couple of years before the story begins. He was also a good friend with the mayor's daughter, and may have even been childhood sweethearts with her, although this is only implied.

Pendukung

Emperor Beld had placed trust in Wagnard, the powerful wizard of dark magic; however, was this trust ill-placed? However others may see him, Wagnard has but one true master: the Goddess of Destruction, Kardis. He knows what is necessary to revive Kardis and gain dominion over Lodoss once and for all. First, he must retrieve the Scepter of Domination from the dragon Shooting Star. For this, Wagnard convinced Ashram to retrieve it for his own glory. Second, he must sacrifice a High Elf, and he sends the Dark Elf Pirotess to find probably the most suitable High Elf he can think of: Deedlit! Wagnard's allies ultimately retrieve the Scepter of Domination, stealing it from Ashram, and he realizes that Kardis is stirring even now. With the Scepter, Wagnard intends to control the Goddess of Destruction and become a god himself. Wagnard uses his increased power to reach Deedlit, the key to Kardis' full resurrection

Karla

Pendukung

Karla, the Grey Witch, is an ambiguous character responsible for shaping the history of the accursed island of Lodoss. She is the only survivor of an ancient Magic Kingdom and has lived for more than 500 years. Her physical self has perished long ago, but her soul (embedded in a golden circlet) possesses a human host from time to time so that she can have a body. After the fall of the Magic Kingdom she believes the only way for Lodoss not to be destroyed is to keep a balance between peace and chaos. So when there is war, she creates peace; when there is peace, she provokes war. Karla claims that in this way Lodoss will never collapse. For these years she has been changing her hosts, watching and manipulating the history of Lodoss. (Source: oocities.org)

Beld

Pendukung

Emperor Beld had once been a hero, one of six heroes who had saved Lodoss from evil 30 years ago. To do it, however, Beld's soul was touched by the darkness. He gained possession of the Demon Sword, the counterpart to King Fahn's Holy Sword. Afterward, he came to rule the dark kingdom of Marmo. Driven both by his darkness and by the subtle hints of Karla, Beld will order an invasion of Lodoss. He knew that once he attacked Valis, King Fahn would have to answer, and answer he did. The old former friends would then meet one last time, to decide the fate of Lodoss. At first, Beld would appear to strike the decisive blow, but Karla suddenly intervened to assure that neither would come out the victor. With his fall, Ashram arises to a very tumultuous Marmo throne

Parn has always had a fondness for the Mercenary King, but Kashue did not become a king for nothing. He refuses Parn's help at first because of his recklessness, but he realizes that without another path to take, Parn would follow him anyway (such as when he followed Kashue to Fire Dragon Mountain). And then, he learns of the rising darkness on Marmo, and King Kashue sees what must be done. He sends the call out to all kingdoms of Lodoss to rise up and face the rising forces of Marmo in one final battle, and the scope is enormous. Even the ancient dragons Narse and Mycin will clash.

Shuuichi Ikeda

Pirotessa Merestianna

Pendukung

She is among the best of the dark elves, a figure of graceful beauty and deadly skill. Only two have been known to match Pirotess' abilities: Deedlit, a High Elf, and Ashram, whose own skill goes beyond what would normally be possible for a human. Pirotess and Deedlit will ultimately meet face to face as Wagnard orders Pirotess to capture the High Elf to use as the sacrifice to revive Kardis. Alone, the odds may have been even, but Pirotess had brought some help. But even Pirotess has to be cautious when Shiris and Orson join Parn. Even Dark Elves fear the Berserkers of Hyuri. Pirotess is loyal to Ashram and will seldom leave his side. Even upon orders from Wagnard to capture Deedlit, when she finds that she cannot, she joins Ashram at Fire Dragon Mountain instead of returning to Marmo. She realizes the sheer power Shooting Star possessess, and she dedicates herself to protecting Ashram, even if it means her own life in the process.

Their time together will open up new feelings toward each other even as great darkness begins to descend upon the Accursed Island. Ghim

Pendukung

Realizing that Leylia has been possessed, Ghim ultimately sets out alone to challenge Karla and free Leylia from the Grey Witch's control. Fortunately for him, Ghim will not stand alone in this fight, even if that's not what he wants. Parn himself is shocked at the fury Orson possesses, and it is Shiris who ultimately calms him down. The sheer fury of the Berserkers is known to all, even the Dark Elves. It is the presence of Orson that forces Pirotess and the other Dark Elves to retreat and let Deedlit be. He and Shiris join Parn and the others, and he will be with King Kashue when they strike the dragon with the Holy Lances of Myree, bringing Fire Dragon Mountain down upon it. And later, even as Parn leaves to warn the other kingdoms, he sees the darkening sky and senses the danger. He and Shiris will follow that darkness and find Parn in terrible shape.
