Haruo Yaguchi

Utama

Male

A young man who is dismal in various facets of life: He's not academic, he's not athletic, and he's not very attractive. The only thing he's got going for him is an insane amount of mad gamer skills. He rules the arcade scene as "Beastly Fingers Haruo", until he meets his match during a fateful encounter with Akira Oono while playing Street Fighter II. Undeterred, he seeks to challenge and one day out play her, considering her his rival. While he starts off as a snarky brat with an ego bigger than any winning streak he could rack up in Street Fighter, he eventually grows out of it. However, he never abandons his dedication and love for gaming, which almost borders on unhealthy obsession. On the bright side, this pure passion for gaming is what leads him to finding some of his closest friends.

Akira Oono

Utama

Female · Umur 12-16 · Gol. darah O

Likes: Video games, snacks Dislikes: Horror Relatives: Makoto Oono (older sister), unnamed parents Akira Oono is the silent daughter of the Oono family. Akira is popular at school for being multi-talented but sneaks away to play arcade games to escape the harsh environment at home. Akira is good at everything she does, including study, drawing, music, martial arts, and video games. Despite being very smart, she never talks. Haruo can read her facial expressions to guess what she's thinking and wanting. She makes small voices like "Umm", nodding, and shaking her head as a way to say yes or no. Sometimes she points her finger at things she wants. She uses violence sometimes (mostly on Haruo) when she feels angry, jealous, or scared. Akira is good at almost every game on the Arcade platform. For fighting games, she uses huge power-type characters such as Zangief and Edmond Honda. She also loves characters that have similarities to Zangief's cyclone ability. She doesn't have any game consoles at home, so she's not good at using a controller at first. She doesn't like horror games either.

Introduced in Street Fighter II, Chun-Li was the only female character in the game, and while not as physically powerful as the other characters, she was by far the quickest. Her most famous attack is the Hyakuretsukyaku (Hundred Rending Leg, commonly known as the Lightning Kick), where she repeatedly kicks her opponent from a tilted standing position with incredible speed. Fumiko Orikasa

Ryuu

Latar

Male

Ryu is one of the main characters from Capcom's Street Fighter series (and is also one of Capcom's mascot characters) and is the archetypical fighting game protagonist. Ryu has appeared in every Street Fighter game and vs/crossover games produced in part with Capcom. Ryu is the essential wandering warrior type character, living only for the fight, not caring about winning or losing but a chance to fight and learn, caring mostly for improving himself both spiritually and physically. His Background Story varies from anime to anime, but has always remained constant in the game series. The core of his background story is always this: Ryu is an orphaned child taken in by Anasatsuken master Gouken and trained along with his future best friend Ken Masters. Gouken is killed by Akuma (Gouki in Japanese versions), Ryu seeks revenge on Akuma while fighting in various tournaments in the meanwhile.

Gouki

Latar

Male

Gouki is a vicious and aggressive fighter who fights only to test his strength against his opponents. However, being a strict upholder of the code of the warrior, he usually only fights those who challenge him instead of picking fights.

Vega

Latar

Male

Very little is known about Bison (Vega in the Japanese version). Except that he is the head of Shadowlaw. In contrast to Ken and Ryu's Hadou (which is based in chi), Bison's powers are based in his rage and hatred, and are referred to as his "Psycho Power." Usage of his "Psycho Power" usually causes him to lose his ability to reason, and in one instance nearly strangles Chun Li while enraged only to regret his actions for a moment when he resumed his previous cognitive state... the only scene in which he ever shows a capacity for human emotion. As the leader of the secretive Shadowlaw, his only known goal is world domination, and most of his activities are financed through a variety of underground operations such as the Ashura syndicate. For all of Bison's power and ambition, it is suggested that much of his work may be the result of semi-telepathic influence originating from a silver idol in the form of an eagle's head, which is shown on at least two occasions to "communicate" with him. His martial art style that he uses in combat is loosely based on U.S. Military Combatives, the official martial arts styles that the U.S military teaches to its soldiers (Source: Wikipedia)

Hiroki Yasumoto

Ken Masters

Latar

Male

Ryu's best friend and the only son of the extremely rich Masters family. He lives in San Francisco with his parents in a very large mansion (it takes 20 minutes to drive from the front yard to the main house). He too spends a lot of time training as well, but not as much as Ryu. Ken also rides a motorcycle. His mother is Japanese. Ken also learns to use the power of Hadou later on while being held captive by Shadowlaw. Only Ryu knows the Hadoken, while both he and Ken know the Shoryuken. Ken later upgrades the Shoryuken to the Hadou Shoryuken, and then shortens it to the Hadou Shoryu. Interestingly, in the English dub Ken still called the move Shoryuken while Ryu called it by its English translation; Rising Dragon Punch. (Source: Wikipedia)

Kenta Miyake

Dee Jay

Latar

Male

Known as "The Southern Comet", Dee Jay is a cheerful kickboxer who fights to musical rhythm. Eventually, he becomes a music star, though he still has time to enter the second World Warrior tournament to find some new rhythm for his songs.

Edmond Honda

Latar

Male

Honda appears as one of the more prominent characters to appear in the second half of the anime, unlike a majority of the characters that were not heavily involved in the backstory of the game. He is voiced by Daisuke Gōri in the Japanese version, and Richard Epcar in the english dub. His personality is relatively unchanged from that in the games, however his goal is shown to be to fight for cash compared to his in-game goal of proving the strength of sumo to the world. Several aspects of his character appearance here saw usage in the Street Fighter Alpha series much like many other characters, but moreso in the Capcom vs. SNK games, where outright nods (such as his run anim being a direct copy of his attempt to charge into Bison) were included in the game. He's first seen wrestling with Dhalsim in Calcutta to win prize money. Dhalsim manages to slip away from his grip however, and attempts to mentally subdue Honda. Ryu's presence however distracts Dhalsim enough for Honda to regain control of the match and win due to forfeit. Honda catches up with Ryu, recognizing he helped him win and the fact Ryu is a fellow Japanese fighter, giving him half the prize money as well as a place to stay for a while. Guile then Bison find Ryu eventually however. While Ryu tries to deal with a brainwashed Ken, Honda charges forward to take on Bison, only for Bison to teleport out of his path and Ken to send him stumbling forward, straight into Balrog. He and Balrog end up fighting, eventually with both of them falling off a nearby cliff. However Honda seems to recover quickly enough, seen lugging both the unconscious Balrog and Guile back just as Ryu and Ken defeat Bison. (Source: Wikipedia)

Vega was born to a noble family in Catalonia, Spain. As he matured, Vega studied Bullfighting, a cultural tradition amongst the nobles. Returning home, Vega combined Bullfighting with Ninjutsu and went into an underground cage fighting circuit where quickly became one of the best. Tragedy struck one day when Vega witnessed the murder of his beautiful mother at the hands of his unattractive father. Her murder was punishment for disrespecting him as his father believed. Witnessing this tragic event warped Vega's mind and from then on he lived a double life; a suave nobleman by day and a narcissistic killer by night who enjoys mutilating ugly people to death using a three-pronged wrist-mounted razor-sharp claw. His very first victim was his father. Vega's brutal fighting skills and remorseless nature impressed the criminal leader known as M. Bison so much that he came to him personally with an offer to join Shadaloo. Vega accepted Bison's offer purely to improve his own aesthetic senses.
