Gintaro is a fox herald. His past is still partly unknown. Gin is often annoyed with Makoto and tend to act lazy around her but, really he truly cares for her and her emotions. It is hinted that he may have romantic feelings for her due to him blushing sometimes but, this might just be embarrassment. Gin runs his shrine alone because, the other herald disappeared.

The successor to the Kamio Shrine, he inherited the sight from his grandfather after his death since Satoru's parents died earlier due to an accident.. He was raised by some relatives who mistreated him and he was isolated from the others. He later moved away to stay at Saeki Shrine with Haru. Haru is a young fox herald. She is very close to Satoru and finds it hard to be without him. When she was a plain fox, she was hit by a car and followed Satoru's grandfather home, where she was laid to rest under a Sakura tree and gained the name "Haru". She isn't very fond of Makoto.
