He commands a variety of forces, including the few mages of Light (such as Iris), the excavation agency known as the "Watchers," and other independent units. An elderly man who always wears a stern expression and possesses a strict demeanor, he nonetheless displays an unexpected side—such as ordering internal disputes to be settled via a game of rock-paper-scissors. (In doing so, he shrewdly declares that anyone who refuses to comply will be forcibly recruited into his own faction.) A powerhouse hailed as the wielder of the "Strongest Staff," he possesses physical might surpassing Zeo, intellect exceeding Carriot, magical power greater than Elnor's, and magical technique superior to Elfaria's. According to Finn, however, "even that is him past his prime."
