Karakter & Staf — Transformers 40th Anniversary Special Movie

Convoy

Pendukung

Male

The leader Cybertrons (Autobots). A wise, father-like leader whose unmatched bravery and compassion serve to inspire his robot and human allies alike and strike fear into the hearts of his enemies, the Destron (Decepticons). His signature weapon is the Laser Rifle (レーザーライフル ), also known as the Ion Blaster in the US. In most incarnations, his alternate mode is a truck, although its exact model tends to vary depending on the entry. His love interest is Elita-One (AKA Ariel) and his lifelong rival is Megatron. Note: He is often distinguished from other characters bearing the Convoy title by being referred to as G1 Convoy.

Starscream

Pendukung

Starscream is a Decepticon in the various fictional Transformers universes. He appeared in several incarnations in the related comics, animated television series, and movies. Most incarnations of the Starscream character are extremely ambitious and treacherous, but with varying degrees of strength and competence. Often, Starscream is the leader of a sub-group of Decepticon attack jets called the Seekers, and in many incarnations he is also second-in-command of the Decepticons. He makes no secret of his ambition to overthrow Megatron as Decepticon leader. He is more intelligent than the average Decepticon, ruthless, and cruel; but, he is also a coward: He is unlikely to directly act on his ultimate ambition without, in advance, secretly getting enough fellow Decepticons to support him. He considers himself vastly superior to other Decepticons, and looks down on Megatron for being antiquated in his military strategy and tactics. Starscream believes that the Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute destructive force to defeat the Autobots; although, even when Starscream is given the chance to strike out on his own, he is rarely more successful than Megatron -- often, considerably less. Megatron overlooks the potential threat that Starscream represents because he believes that Starscream is very good at his job. However, Starscream often exhausts Megatron's patience quickly; violent-yet-brief verbal and/or physical conflicts are not uncommon between the two. Usually, these result in Megatron treating Starscream in a humiliatingly dismissive manner. Starscream's ghost also appeared for a few episodes in Beast Wars, and he eventually possessed Waspinator's body for quite some time.

Megatron

Pendukung

Male

The leader of Destron (aka Decepticon) forces - a cruel and intelligent strategist who dreams of galaxy-wide dominance with what he describes as "peace through tyranny". His signature alternate mode is a customized handgun, often wielded by his subordinates, most commonly Starscream. However, in later installments, he adapts a number of other alternate modes, with his second most iconic form being a tank. His signature weapon is the Fusion Cannon (融合カノン砲), which he usually wields on his right arm.

Ironhide

Pendukung

The character designers for the cartoon redesigned Ironhide's body, which is now the best-known of all his appearances. Despite being known for being part of the Autobot security detail and Optimus Prime's bodyguard, Ironhide was most often seen in the capacity of a warrior, often fighting in battle without Optimus Prime, or a specific worksite/person/cargo to protect. He was also used as an officer, leading a team of Autobots just as would Optimus's advisors, Prowl and Jazz. Ironhide seemed to develop a bond with the Autobots' human allies, engaging with them on a friendly basis as much as protecting them. Ironhide was good friends with the female Autobot Chromia.

Ratchet

Pendukung

Ratchet was the Autobot medic, and therefore he seldom was ever seen in battle. He usually spent time at the Autobot base with Wheeljack creating and repairing other Autobots. The two of them were credited for creating the Dinobots in an attempt to bolster their ranks versus the Decepticons. Ratchet was eventually killed in The Transformers: The Movie in an attack by the Decepticons on an Autobot shuttle. The Decepticons penetrated the hull of the shuttle that he, Ironhide, Prowl, and Brawn were flying in. Ironhide and Ratchet attacked the invaders together after Prowl and Brawn's death. The two suffered the same amount of fire from the Decepticons but due to Ironhide's strong armor he survived the first strike ultimately dying in the end, Ratchet on the other hand was killed easily. Following the movie, the Autobot First Aid became the Autobot's chief medic.

Ginrai

Pendukung

Male · Umur 20

A free-spirited trucker born in Nagano who moved to America in pursuit of freedom and self-discovery at the age of 17. Even though he can be very brash and short-tempered, he has a very relaxed approach to life, a strong sense of justice, and cares deeply for the Headmaster Juniors, especially Shuuta, who often sees him as an older brother of sorts. Initially living in solitude, he would go on to become a Cybertron warrior following at attack by the Destrons that resulted in the deaths of numerous truckers that he was friends with - Metalhawk would scout him out, and shortly after, appoint him the Supreme Commander. His Transtector takes on a form resembling that of the Cybertron Supreme Commander, Convoy. (Sources: JP Wikipedia, translated; TFWiki)

Rodimus Prime

Pendukung

Male

Formerly known as Hot Rod, Rodimus Prime is Optimus Prime's successor. He is the leader of the Autobots (Cybertrons) after both deaths of Optimus.

Star Saber

Pendukung

In the year 2025, a skilled swordsman named Star Saber is chosen by God Ginrai as leader of the Autobots. Star Saber transforms into two robot forms, a smaller robot/plane named Saber combining with a sky sled known as the V-Star to form a larger ship or robot, similar to Ginrai combining with his trailer to form Super Ginrai. It is in this form he is known as Star Saber. His primary weapon is the star saber, a powerful sword. He also has a standard rifle at his disposal. In this form, his helmet/face resembles Optimus Prime's, with a Red helmet rather than blue. The smaller Brainmaster component that enters Saber's chest and becomes his face is named Yukio, which means Courage. He may combine with Victory Leo (The rebuilt God Ginrai) to form Victory Saber. This combination, though incredibly strong, is exceedingly unstable due to Victory Leo's flawed personality. In the various Japanese Transformers series, all of the robots made into toys carry serial numbers, usually preceded by a letter denoting allegiance, or a new series. Star Saber's serial number is C-324. He is also the foster father of a young human boy named Jan , who he rescued from the remains of a Destron (Decepticon) attack. Like any father, he wants what is best for his son, even taking the time to personally arrange Jan's transfer to a school so he could be with children his age.

Jazz

Pendukung

Jazz is the "very cool, very stylish, very competent" member of the Autobots in the Transformers television and comic series based on the popular toy line produced by Takara and Hasbro. His original vehicle mode is a Martini Porsche 935 Turbo racing car. Self-possessed, calm, and utterly collected, Jazz is head of Special Operations, with his own dedicated roster of agents. He often gives the most dangerous assignments to himself. It's not a matter of ego—he just really is the coolest head for the toughest missions. Jazz's ease extends to whatever environment he finds himself in, no matter how weird or wonderful. He effortlessly tunes in to the local culture, assimilating and improvising, and making creative command decisions, making him an indispensable right-hand bot to Optimus Prime. Jazz remains one of the more popular and well-remembered characters from the original series. Because of problems with trademarking the name Jazz, some later releases of Jazz are called Autobot Jazz.

Godbomber

Pendukung

Male

A pseudo-Transformer created to aid the Cybertron forces. For most of the Masterforce series, he is a lifeless drone that serves as an assortment of armor parts for Ginrai's Transtector to power up into God Ginrai mode, as well as a second trailer for Ginrai's truck mode, in which the Headmaster Juniors can sit. Note: Outside of Japan, his toy was renamed to "Apex Bomber".

Lio Convoy

Pendukung

Male

As he rose through the ranks of the Maximal Space Patrol, Lio Convoy and his honest nature, selfless dedication to duty and ability to lead by example quickly caught the attention, and earned the respect, of his superior officers. Now with his own crew of loyal Maximals, Lio Convoy continues to display those qualities in the heat of desperate combat. While on the surface he appears to be a tough, exacting, career-military sort of robot, any Maximal who has served under him knows that there's a smile behind his face-plate and a gentleness at the core of his spark. Though he yearns for a universe forever at peace, Lio Convoy takes to the battlefield with precision, strength and cunning. He believes that combat, more than anything else, reveals an enemy's true character and it has been through combat that Lio Convoy has made both his bitterest rivals and most enduring friendships. Though compassionate by nature, Lio Convoy stumbles when it comes to expressing anything outside the perimeters of gruff military rhetoric. This attitude has strained his relationship with his "son", Lio Junior, who wants only to obtain the approval of his "father". (Source: TFwiki)

Moon

Pendukung

Male

One of the two androids stationed on the Moon, assigned to watch over Gaia's levels of Angolmois Energy. Although he is great at gathering data, he tends to act very impulsive, often annoying Artemis with his childish antics and blunt remarks. While his main form is a large rabbit, he's also capable of transforming into a small robot. He also has a vocal tic, adding the suffix -moon to whatever he says.

Scourge

Pendukung

Scourge is Galvatron's implacable tracker and leader of his own cadré of huntsmen, the deadly Sweeps. He was created by Unicron from the remains of a dead Decepticon. Immensely powerful like all the Unicronian Decepticons, arrogance is his only true weakness. Despite being quite powerful in his own right, Scourge generally acts as a near subordinate to Cyclonus, and, despite his leadership of the Sweeps, is generally content to take orders from others. Scourge tends to grumble and complain a bit (a habit sometimes shared by his Sweeps). (Source: Transformers Wiki)

Skywarp

Pendukung

Skywarp was the first Transformer to awaken on Earth in 1984, and he helped bring Megatron and the other Decepticons back online. After laying dormant for four million years, he was reformatted to share the same Earthen appearance (an F-15 Eagle) as Starscream and Thundercracker, and was usually allied with them during attacks. During his first days on Earth, he soon showed his teleporting power to battle with Ironhide and Bluestreak. Although a popular character in the Transformers universe, Skywarp seldom showed much function other than being a loyal Decepticon soldier, although he did seem to take a perverse joy in praising Megatron's brilliance as a leader in front of Starscream. Skywarp also appears to be the least-known Decepticon amongst the Autobots; while Starscream addresses him by name in "Roll for It", Optimus Prime only calls him by name in Divide and Conquer. Despite having very few functions, those few were a key part in those episodes. Examples include when he lost self control because of Chip Chase while holding super energized Megatron ("Roll for it"); When guarding the Andes Mountain he left to aid the other Decepticons in stealing the steel they needed, leaving Starscream and Thundercracker alone to guard the mountain ("Fire in the Sky"); he used his his teleporting ability to teleport over the Autobots when racing in the Autobot Run and successfully hit them with the laser, forcing them to remain in vehicle mode ("The Autobot Run"); and when he was forced by Starscream to teleport him to Cybertron with the spacebridge, so that he could steal imprisoned personalities to create the Combaticons ("Starscream's Brigade"). In multiple episodes Skywarp is seen along with Thundercracker and Starscream to successfully attack Earth military in dogfights while in jet mode. In the episode, "The Immobilizer", Skywarp attacked the Autobots with his "Bouncer Bomb," but it went wild and had to be destroyed by Megatron in pistol mode. This is the only time this ability has ever been seen in Transformers fiction. In 2005, Skywarp was among those whom were thrown into space after being wounded during the battle for Autobot City. Adrift with Megatron and other wounded Decepticons, Skywarp encountered Unicron. Unicron used Skywarp's battered body to create one of Galvatron's new warriors. Skywarp arguably became Cyclonus, the loyal second in command of Galvatron, although there is controversy about this due to animation inconsistencies. (Source: Wikipedia)

Thundercracker

Pendukung

Thundercracker was one of the first Decepticons to awaken on Earth in 1984. After laying dormant for four million years, he shared the same Earthen appearance as Starscream and Skywarp and is usually allied with them during attacks. Despite being one of the original Decepticons and appearing in many battles during 1984 and 1985, Thundercracker had few prominent roles. Often chafing under Starscream's self-importance and glory-seeking, he seemed to dislike Starscream and exploited reasons to undermine his authority, such as letting the Autobot Skyfire destroy one of their secret weapons merely so Starscream would get the blame. In the year 2005, Thundercracker was present during the battle for Autobot City, and was gunned down by Optimus Prime. With the subsequent defeat of their leader, Megatron, the Decepticons were forced to retreat. However, there were too many Decepticons aboard Astrotrain (who served as an impromptu escape vehicle), and Thundercracker was among those few Decepticons too weakened to put up a fight to stay on board. Being cast out into space, the damaged Decepticons drifted into the path of Unicron, and Thundercracker's body was used to create Scourge, one of Galvatron's new warriors. In the season 3 episode, Starscream's Ghost, Thundercracker appears to have a grave--or at least a commemorative marker--in the Decepticon crypt. (Source: Wikipedia)

Master Megatron

Pendukung

A tyrant who believes himself best suited to rule the galaxy and strives to shape it according to his will using the Planet Force and Chip Square. He cares little for his underlings, seeing them as mere means to an end, never hesitating to sacrifice them if he deems them useful in achieving his goals. As a result of absorbing a part of Unicron's power, he possesses a plethora of mysterious magical abilities that go beyond those of normal Transformers. He has two alternate modes - a race car and a fighter jet. He's also able to combine with Dark Ligerjack, which grants him access to his Liger Megatron (ライガーメガトロン) form. Using Force Chip Ignition, he's able to access the Death Claw and Death Machinegun stored on his back. In the US version of the show, Cybertron, he is renamed to simply "Megatron" and stated to be the same character as the Megatron seen in Armada (Micron Densetsu) and Energon (Superlink).

Hop

Pendukung

Jolt is a member of the Recon Mini-Con Team, alongside Six Speed and Reverb. The three were found drifting through space in a ship by Vector Prime ( Jolt explains that he and his team got lost playing hide-and-seek). The three Mini-Cons traveled to Earth with Vector Prime and eventually met up with the Autobots and three humans named Coby, Bud, and Lori. Since Jolt is the only member of his team that can speak human languages, he introduces himself and his team to the three humans and they form a close friendship. Jolt is generally very cheerful and is highly interested in human culture. He has a special ability that allows him to create portals for quick traveling. His alternate mode is a personal helicopter.

Sky-Byte

Pendukung

In some ways, Sky-Byte is one of the central characters on the show. All he wants is for Megatron to see him as the loyal and dependable warrior that he really is, and he goes to great lengths to prove his resourcefulness to him. Although heralded as one of the mightiest Predacon warriors, Sky-Byte has summarily failed to live up to his hype during Megatron's campaign on Earth. Unfortunately for Sky-Byte, things seldom turn out as he has planned them - if it isn't the Autobots who thwart his plans, it is the three fools he has under him. And then there's the new threat, Scourge; that ingratiating newcomer who tries to assume his place as Megatron's second-in-command. (From Wikipedia)

Lio Junior

Pendukung

Male

Lio Junior was created by the influence of the good Angolmois energy upon the Matrix in Lio Convoy's chest. He possesses an innocent, free and wild personality. His tail becomes a Lion Vute Whip, while twin horns extend from his mane to fire Angolmois Ball light spheres. His mane can also become Lion Wings, which he can fly for short distances. (From Wikipedia)

Unicron

Pendukung

Unicron was a fallen god from before the universe existed, who sought the ultimate peace that would be granted by the destruction of all life. Amazingly, Unicron accomplished this task, wiping out all life, planets, stars and nebulae, even "the stuff of space itself" in the universe and leaving only nothingness and void. His lust for destruction finally sated, Unicron entered a deep sleep - but he had not been thorough enough. Tiny fragments of the old universe reacted with each other, and a new universe was born. As Unicron slept, the core of this new universe - somehow a sentient being - became aware of Unicron's threat and created a defender to battle his evil - Primus, the lord of light. Unicron awoke to find himself surrounded by another universe, and simply began to destroy it again.

Kicker Jones

Pendukung

Male · Umur 16

The son of a diplomat who played a major role in establishing a formal alliance between Cybertron and Earth. Due to his ability to detect Energon, he traveled with his father across the galaxy on numerous occasions, at times getting into unfortunate accidents that'd give him a wide plethora of phobias, including a fear of Transformers - however, thanks to befriending Roadbuster, he's been able to gradually overcome some of them. His little sister is Sally, and his girlfriend is Misha. His armor was given to him by Grand Convoy, who created it using the Combination Spark embedded in his chest. Note: In the US version of Superlink, "Transformers: Energon", specifically its tie-in comics, he was renamed to Chad "Kicker" Jones. The US release of Galaxy Force features an extra scene in the last episode, portraying him in his 20s - this was, however, absent from the Japanese original.

Pendukung

Female

The operating program for the Cybertrons' base, occasionally acting as Fire Convoy's secretary, meant to make communication with human allies easier. Although she serves as an extension of the base's systems, she's not completely devoid of emotion, blushing when Speedbreaker mentions her relationship with Convoy, as well as accidentally revealing sensitive information to the Destrongers. She's also tasked with running the elaborate Cybertron Net, a complex system of underground tunnels that allow the Cybertrons to quickly travel to any location on Earth. Although she's able to float, Fire Convoy tends to kneel in order to talk to her. In Binaltech Asterisk pack-in story pages, it's revealed that her appearance is based on a human police officer named Ai Kuruma (来留間アイ). In the Legends manga, a clone of her accompanies Black Convoy. In the US dub, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, she's stated to be the "daughter of Teletraan 1", the Autobots'/Cybertrons' main computer from Generation 1.

Galaxy Convoy

Pendukung

Male

The commander of Cybertron forces and bearer of the Matrix of Leadership during the events of Galaxy Force. Although stern and determined to stop Master Megatron at all cost, he cares deeply for his people and residents of other planets alike, not wanting to disturb their peace - he's also quite friendly with his subordinates, not minding their jokes and occasionally cracking a joke or two on his own. While initially not too keen on the idea of revealing Transformers' existence to residents of Earth, he changes his mind upon meeting Coby, Lori and Bud, seeing the value of cooperation and friendship with humans for himself. He is capable of transforming into two distinct robot modes - a more casual, mouthplate-less form in which his alternate mode is a futuristic truck, and Super Mode, a more combat-oriented and heavily armored form, in which his alternate mode is a futuristic fire engine, capable of flight by extending its sides into wings. Upon combining with Ligerjack, he assumes the name of Liger Convoy (ライガーコンボイ), granting him a gigantic, clawed right arm, and upon combining with Sonic Bomber, he becomes Sonic Convoy (ソニックコンボイ), equipped with a jetpack and twin swords. He's also able to use Megalo Convoy's Megalo Ax. In the US adaptation of Galaxy Force, Transformers: Cybertron, he is renamed to "Optimus Prime" and stated to be the same character as Convoy (Micron Densetsu)/Grand Convoy.

Metroplex

Pendukung

Metroplex’s poor, slow, and infrequent efforts to support his brave comrades and forward the Autobot cause are never enough. Sure, he's the Autobots' ultimate weapon, their greatest and final defense. Yes, he's a gigantic, towering warrior, capable of channeling awesome energies. Strong beyond belief, versatile, clever, brave and self-sacrificing, Metroplex is willing to give everything he has to the Autobot cause and defend it to his last astroseconds of life. Despite all this he’s wracked to the core of his being with the belief that he could and should be doing more. It’s a self-deprecating attitude that stuns many of his fellow Autobots, most of whom take immeasurable comfort in his very existence and the knowledge that regardless of what evil comes, Metroplex is out there to back them up. This Titan's great modesty about his power and achievements together with a boundless patience necessitated by his size and alternate mode are apparent to anyone who pierces his normally less than talkative demeanor, and in the optics of many, these traits only raise his already high standing.
