He is generally shown as to be calm and open minded. In fact, many comparatives can be made between his personality and Yin and Yang, which he appropriately wears the symbol of, the Taijitu. The forces of Yin and Yang are generally described as opposite but complementary forces, and the same can be said about him. He can be calm and collected, but also a fierce competitor. These two qualities can be referred to as opposites, but they are not absolute in their differences, and the same can be said about Yin and Yang. Furthermore, the forces of Yin and Yang are interdependent, meaning that they cannot exist without their counterpart. This can also be compared to Ray's personality. His whole nature seems to be similar in principal to this metaphysical concept. (Season One) Ray is first introduced to the show in episode 6, named Dragoon Storm. In this episode, he is portrayed as a powerful and confident competitor. However, some may say that he is shown as overconfident in some aspects, especially before the battle against Tyson had even begun. In the first battle, Ray easily, and almost effortlessly destroys Tyson's blade using his bit beast Driger's Tiger Claw attack. The following battle, Ray becomes somewhat cocky about his ability, and ends up losing the 2nd round to Tyson. Ray forfeits the final, deciding battle, saying that he had no more to prove. After the final round of the Tournament, between Tyson and Kai, Ray approaches Tyson, along with Max and Mr. Dickenson, inviting him and Kai to join the new BBA team called the Blade Breakers. Throughout the first season, Ray is looked to for advice about battles. He is generally revered as a kind hearted, polite individual, who is very welcoming when meeting new people. He is also shown as being very open minded, especially about Beyblading techniques. This is emphasised in the Asian tournament, used as a means to justify his leaving of his home village. It is also shown in this season that he has an uncle who is the head chef at a restaurant in Paris, which is owned by Olivers' Dad. It is also shown that he works as a waiter in a restaurant in Hong Kong for extra cash. This has led to an opinion of him loving to cook. (Season Two) Generally, Ray is shown in a similar light as to how he is portrayed in season 1, although in V-Force, he is much more critical of his performance. A good example of Ray's kind hearted nature is shown in V-Force, in the battle against Salima and Cyber Driger. During this battle, Salima becomes somewhat hypocritical towards her original philosophies towards beyblading. Because of this, Ray spends most of the battle trying to convince her that using Cyber Driger has tainted her beliefs. Ray uses three beyblades in the second season--Driger Fang, Driger Vulcan, and Driger Vulcan 2. (Season Three) In this series, Ray is portrayed in a very different way from the other two series. In the previous two, he was shown as being a polite young man, but unconfident in his beyblading ability. In G-Revolution however, he is shown as being confident, almost to the point of being cocky. It is this that causes him to lose some of his matches. During this series, he leaves the Bladebreakers to help form the White Tigers X team, partnering up with his former teammate, Lee. Ray uses three beyblades in this season, the Driger Vulcan 2,the Driger Gatling, and Driger Metal Slash. (Source: Wikipedia)

Height: 168cm (5'6") Bitbeast: Suzaku (Dranzer) Team: Bladebreakers; G Revolution (final) Kai appears in the series as a "bad boy". Takao and Kai hate each other at the very beginning when they meet; Kai hates Takao because he loses the battle in front of him and because he thinks Takao is very picky, annoying and immature. Takao doesn't hate Kai, as he only wants to be one of Kai's friends, but that proves difficult, because of Kai's attitude to beyblading and life in general. With time, Kai became a BladeBreaker accepting Rei, Max, Takao & Kyouju as his partners. Being a natural leader, he is the leader of the Blade Sharks (which he leaves), BladeBreakers, Demolition Boys (Neo-borg). Betraying his friends countless times, it seems that the only thing that Kai wants is power, though, later, his reasons morph into wanting to beat Takao and only him. Having a hard childhood and no social contact have made him completely cold and indifferent to other people, though he begins to open up little by little. But mostly, he's the kind of guy that always stays cool and quiet. That proves to be hard with Takao around whom he later sees as one of his closest friends. He develops certain friendships with his other team members but all in all his best friend would have to be Takao.

Takao is a strong-willed teenager who is not afraid to speak his mind and in so doing, he seems to get into more trouble than most kids his age. He seems to be a very emotional person, and quite often worries about his friends, causing him to become angry. Takao isn't a born leader, yet because of his magnetic personality and self-confidence, people seem to gravitate toward him. No situation is too risky for Takao, and he often relies on nothing more than luck. His style of playing is aggressive and all in, Takao is one fierce competitor. While he is determined and strong of spirit in battle, Takao can be rash and take too many risks. Takao isn't very good at beyblade customization and lacks common sense sometimes, which would make people think he is a jock of sorts. Takao's beyblades uses special attacks that take on the form of a Dragon, and they are generally one of the fiercest, more powerful beyblades around. They use the wind element. Dragoons are known to get better with each model possibly describing how Takao develops as he grows up and learns from his mistakes. Takao's bit-beast is Dragoon. Takao seems to get his strange skills from his Dragoon beyblade, such as being able to outrun dogs and cars. (Source: Wikipedia)

Daichi Sumeragi

Utama

He is a young, hyperactive blader with a blade called Strata Dragoon (Gaia Dragoon in the original Japanese version). In the BBA tournament, he is the tag team partner of Tyson. Daichi is portrayed as a short kid with flaming red hair and a blue shirt with pants of which one leg is torn at the thigh. He is also seen in the series fainting after tough matches, leading some to believe that he is still weak in spite of his powerful bit-beast. Daichi has a huge advantage in outdoor Bey-dishes as he has trained close to nature and perfected his style of Beyblading. His weakness is over-confidence demonstrated by his two defeats once to Kai and later with Ming-Ming. Daichi is also categorized as one of the strongest Beybladers in G-Revolution as he was able to beat Rick of the PPB All Starz. He also provides comic relief in the series with his fear of flying, constant eating and heckling Tyson. He is finally beaten by the BEGA League blader, Ming-Ming but tells her that he would win the next time they battle. Daichi is also a major character in the film Beyblade: The Movie - Fierce Battle in which his Gaia Dragoon is the bit-beast used to release the Dark Beasts that are locked up in Demon Rock island. At the beginning of the third season, Tyson is shocked to find out that Daichi has a variant of Dragoon, and claims that his own is the only one. Tyson and Daichi's bit-beasts can use a combination attack, called the Twin Tornado Attack, which may have been the first time this happens in the series. According to the English version, his bit-beast is known as Strata Dragoon. He uses some powerful attacks during the series. When Daichi's father died, he inherited the bit-beast, so Daichi, like Tyson, always seeks solace in it. His character mostly resembles that of Tyson. He likes Tyson's grandpa a lot. He is a very skilled blader. Daichi is a hard working blader because of his father who worked as a forest wood cutter and was very strong. He lives in the forest from where he came, and challenges Tyson for a battle at the start of the third session. During the battle, Kenny notices that Daichi has an advantage with natural playing fields and Tyson has an advantage in a regular Bey dish. Daichi impresses Max and Ray at first, but not Kai, as he thinks that Tyson is much more skilled than Daichi.Tyson and Daichi often do not get along very well with Tyson calling him 'monkeyboy', Daichi's nickname which Tyson keeps calling him throughout the third series . Although they often have meaningless fights and eating contests they still remain good friends. Daichi was a popular character in the manga, and also appeared in many of the Beyblade video games which could possibly explain why fans wanted him to appear in G-Revolution. Also his personality resembles Tyson's; the similarities include their "never give up" attitude, eating habits and constantly re-challenging people even after winning or losing. In the manga he has a mother named Orin and he stars in his own sidestory. He meets several rivals including Hikaru Tomonji and Kennosuke Shishi. (Source: Wikipedia)

Bit-beast: Wolborg Tala first appears as a Russian beyblader who seems to be really obsessed with power. Boris and his scientists experimented on Tala in order to upgrade his battling skills and added components and a program into his brain, eventually causing his brain waves to go berserk (he goes slightly insane in the match with Tyson). He was used as an experiment to connect with his mutated bit beast, but contrary to popular belief, he was not actually turned into a cyborg, the dubbed version just called it "cybertisation". He loses Voltaire's chance of World domination and his own chance of becoming a World Champion by losing to Tyson. In the third season (Beyblade G-Revolution) he is still part of the Demolition Boys with Spencer and Bryan, plus Kai. Tala is not as successful as Kai, as shown when he is defeated by Rick and Daichi, but he is still more than a match for any opponent he faces. As the captain of the group, he tends to dislike Kai's independence, as shown when he was developing his Dranzer's new attack. Tala is easily angered. Although he was trained not to show any emotion at all, he does just that sometimes. Biovolt decided to make Tala completely without emotions, so they made him into a cyborg for safety measures. However, after the World Championships Final it is shown that their experiment didn't work as Tala is seen shaking hands with Tyson. Tala is a natural born leader with a fiery personality. In the manga he will do anything to win and he is less loyal to Boris. However in the anime he works to impress Boris with his skills and becomes jealous when Kai Hiwatari joins the team. In the Manga, his childhood is given quite some detail. His father was a soldier and his mother a homemaker; things in Russia changed and his father lost his status as a soldier and became a lazy, abusive drunk who would hit his wife and Tala constantly. His mother abandoned Tala with his father after some time of the abuse and when the abuse got even worse, Tala stayed with his father. His father made him go out to get food and alcohol, meaning that Tala had to steal to remain alive. This was how he met Bryan. His beyblades are Wolborg with the Blizzalog attack, Wolborg 2 with the Botalog attack, Wolborg 3 with the Icy Blizzard attack, Wolborg 4 G with the Novae Rog attack and Wolborg Metal Snow(HMS) with the Snow Meteor attack. He is the brains of the Bladebreakers team, the heroes of the series. He is a "self-described nerd", seeing as he'd gladly take the job of a janitor just to be around high-class instruments and computers. He is also known as the "Chief". Later in the series his real name is revealed (Japanese version) and his mother is the one to say it. His real name is Manabu Saien (才媛マナブ Saien Manabu); all his friends call him Professor. Only a few people in the anime have called him by his real name such as his parents or DJ Blader in a few episodes. Kenny also had a crush on Ming-Ming in G-Revolution. Kenny takes care of beyblade upgrades and repairs for the team. He usually doesn't take part in Beybattles for the team, but has a beyblade that hops when he does. In the first season, he battles Kai with a different beyblade. His beyblade in V-Force is "Einstein" and in G-Revolution, he uses "Hopper". In the English dub of the first two seasons of the anime, Kenny's laptop has a female bit-beast inside, called Dizzi who was added to the show in placement of Kenny's normal laptop screen. Because Kenny did not use his laptop much in the 3rd season, the addition of Dizzi to the show was impossible to keep up and she was taken out. As part of avoiding confusion because of the removal of Dizzi, Hopper's bit (which showed a frog wearing Kenny's glasses) was blanked or the scene was cut whenever the anime focused on the blade itself. Hiro is speculated to be the fourth strongest blader in the series, behind Kai, Tyson and possibly Brooklyn. Hiro first appeared as his alter ego, Jin of the Gale, when Ray was in the woods. He battled Ray and had beaten him easily. When Tyson and Daichi were at the tournament, he showed up again, telling Tyson that he needs to rebuild his team because if he doesn't the Bladebreakers will be gone forever. When Tyson won his match against Kotaro, Hiro told Tyson that 'Beyblading isn't about winning. It's about how you play the game.' When Kai and Daichi started their fight, Hiro was watching Kai, waiting to see what he was about to do. After the veteran had taken down Daichi easily by releasing Dranzer, Mr. Dickenson made an announcement that Hiro was the new coach for the team BBA Revolution. When Tyson and Hiro had reunited, Kai turned away. During Daichi and Kai's rematch, Kai's new Dranzer Gigs hit Daichi's Strata Dragoon Great in the air. As a result, Dranzer soared in the direction of Hiro, surprising both Hilary and Kenny. The blue Beyblade collided in the wall very close to Hiro's face. When Dranzer returned to Kai's hand, he glared at Hiro, showing his anger for not being able to fight Tyson. When Kai was battling Brooklyn, Hiro insulted Kai's skills as a Beyblader, telling him that he won't be able to match up to Brooklyn's talent. Later, Tyson was shocked to find out that his brother had joined the BEGA league. Later, after the world was saved from Brooklyn's destruction, Hiro came back to Tyson's side. Hiro's Beyblade that was seen in the anime is Metal Driger.

Brooklyn Masefield

Pendukung

Brooklyn is the strongest competitor in the series which Kai and Tyson have to face. He is a naturally gifted Beyblader and doesn't need to try in order to win. There are two sides to his personality. First, the calm and seemingly gentle side and then the psychotic, aggressive side. He defeated Kai just like a child's play in their first match, though lost drastically in their second when Kai - as he himself stated - unleashed his "true" potential. He has always thought no one can beat him so he did not put ANY hard work into battling because of his "natural ability". Like Tyson, he is at one with his bit beast, but Brooklyn forms physical traits of his bit beast, for instance wings form on his back that reflect his bit beast Zeus's wings. His childhood reflected strongly in his personality. Because he always won, the other children did not want to play with him, so he was often left alone. During Brooklyn's Beyblade match with Tyson, because of Kai defeating him, he has turned insane. Brooklyn has always beybladed using only his natural ability, and because that was good enough to win he never put much energy into his matches. He realizes that, by using the combined powers of his emotions and abilities, he could create much more damage. Eventually, all his negative emotions reach their apex, especially his annoyance, frustration and sadness. These mix with the evil darkness of his demonic bit-beast, Zeus, and using King of Darkness attack, creates a black hole that proceeds to ravage and devour the entire world and everyone in it into his soul. Thus, he declares himself a god. He only calms down once Tyson explains to him the true meaning of Beyblading, using the power of the bit-beasts of his team-mates (Kai,Ray,Max and Daichi)and Tala's Wolborg (Tala woke up from his coma and sent Wolborg with his special ice attack to help Tyson) to dispel Zeus's darkness, returning the world to normal, albeit heavily ravaged. Once the chaos had passed, Tyson and Brooklyn continue their battle as it should have been, a friendly competition, free from the machinations of the now disgraced Boris. Tyson wins in the end due to Dragoon absorbing other bit-beasts's powers and then attacked and defeated Zeus. Both bladers then took their Beyblades and battled again, however, the victor was never actually shown.

Bryan is a ruthless blader who was raised at the abbey from a young age. The scientists who trained him worked on turning him into an ultimate fighter. They taught him to attack the blader as well as the blade. After losing in season one, his personality changed. He remained in the Demolition boys team and planned to get revenge on Boris. In Beyblade G-Revolution, he is not as vicious as he was and he only trusts his team mates. He is a very skilled and quick blader, his attack involves breaking the opponent's blade to pieces meaning 100% victory. Emily relies solely on science to help her team beat their opponents. She uses a tennis racket for a launcher in the first season. During the third season, she loses to Max during the American eliminatories of the Beyblade Championship, and refuses his words of encouragement. She has shown affection toward Max and Kenny on occasion. She is 15 in the first season and 17 in the third. In the first season, her beyblade is Trygator with the Water Smash attack. During G-Revolution, he is seen with a new haircut (long, straight blonde hair, with his right eye being covered by his bangs). He is defeated by Rick during the American eliminations of the Beyblade Championship, and confronts Judy by saying: "Now you have your team, so I guess you don't need us any more." He and Rick never really get along, but later in the series they have been shown to at least tolerate each other. He is 16 in the first season and 18 in the third. Mystel

Pendukung

Mystel is quite a mysterious character by nature as quoted from a Beyblade episode 34: "My Name Is..." and is seen to be quite quirky. He spends his time in high places lurking around his team mates whenever they need to meet. He has strange abilities that makes it seem like he can float in mid-air. Water is his element and he uses it well. Mystel is a nice guy all round, if sometimes blunt with his wording and seems to somewhat offend the White Tiger X team when they find him in their camp; he comments on how they obviously cannot retrieve the fruit from atop the cliff like he can. He appears to have befriended Ray and the White Tigers when he first appears. He nearly persuaded Ray to join BEGA. Mystel seems to have a very free spirit, and is a very happy person. He is believed to be the youngest of the team. His Beyblade attacks are unpredictable. Bladers say that he uses a 360 degree attack, and he uses a bit-beast named Poseidon. Even though he is small, he's proved to be a strong blader when he defeats Lee of the White Tiger X team easily, and holds his own against Ray before an accident occurs and the battle has to end without deciding a winner. His beyblade is Poseidon with the Ocean Javelin attack.

However, when he speaks in his battles, he speaks volumes. He is known as a competitive player who doesn't like to lose (like all his teammates). Spencer was trained in the Abbey like the other Demolition Boys. He was the only blader physically strong enough to harness the power of Seaborg. He works to please Boris in season 1 but fails even when he beats Kai, as he took too long. He remains loyal to the Blitzkrieg Boys and despises Boris like the rest. He only trusts his team and like Bryan, does not trust Kai being on it. He is a character with few lines, but when he has something to say it's always meaningful. Rai Chou

Pendukung

Rai is a fierce competitor in Series One. He holds grudges for years and uses that as his advantage in battle. He is well respected and in turn respects his village and its people. He aimed to gain the power of the White tiger, but the village elder handed it down to Rei Kon, his best friend, instead. This started the grudge which was fuelled further still when Rei left the village. He also perfected all the White Tigers attacks. In G-Revolution his fiery rage dies down and he becomes a strong and focus blading partner of Rei's. However because he is an emotional character it sometimes leads him to lose his cool and even break down. Rai's Beyblade is Galeon in beyblade 2000. It is a black speed based beyblade. Rai's next beyblade would be galeon 2, a similar blade with green desings which was upgraded to Galeon G. Galeon G is basically Galeon 2 with an engine gear. Rai's bit-beast is Galeon a black lion with the abilities of lightning. His special attacks are Dark Thunder and Spiral Lightning.

Borcloff Boris

Pendukung

Boris is nothing short of a two-faced, cunning, and vile man with a lust for power and money. Despite the fact that he is an abbot running an abbey (a monastery or church), his acts are anything but religious and good-natured. Boris seems to be quite the opposite of the priest he poses as, mocking the crosses on the towers of the abbey with every vicious thing he does. He has little compassion for failure and will not think twice about disposing of any boy in the abbey who does not live up to his standards. He is strict not only with the children but with the employees as well—the scientists in the laboratories and the gunmen who guard the property—but he does, however, show small shreds of patience with the stronger and more reliable young men that he favors, such as Tala and Kai. Boris can also be described as something of a "control freak," as he has cameras located in every room and corridor of the abbey. Because of this fact, many fans are suspicious about what else Boris has done, and is capable of. Boris makes it a point to intimidate others. Through intimidation, he can exact power over those being intimidated, and this is most often how he wins in any situation he faces. Every young man at the abbey, as well as all the employees, respect Boris out of fear, all with good reason. He is indeed malicious in intent and lies a great deal, but he makes it work for him. BeyBlade: Venus Attacks: V-temptation Aside from owning the Beyblade "Venus", pop singing diva Ming-Ming is also the owner of a split personality. As a member of the BEGA Leage, Ming-Ming has risen to fame in the Beyblade circuit as an aggressive fighter while being sweet and cute (and mysteriously shorter) away from battle. Her singing is both a tool to help promote the BEGA League and a valuable weapon used to distract opponents during a match. Usually, she portrays herself to be a sweet young girl. However, she has another, tougher side when she blades. It is easy to tell which from her size and by her eyes. Tough Ming-Ming (called Queen Form in the original) is taller and has a serious look in her eyes while innocent Ming-Ming (called Loli Form) is shorter and has a typical anime cute set of eyes. She tends to spend most of her time in her innocent form as most bladers are easily deceived by her sweet and cute appearance. Her attitude depends on her form, but generally she is a very confident girl with a lot of pride. She is a fanboy favourite in the series. After (and including) the episode, Runaway Daichi, a running gag throughout the season is Kenny's uncontrollable crush on Ming-Ming. He even cheers her on during the BBA VS Bega match. Being the poster girl for the BEGA league can have its perks. This obnoxious teen idol provides entertainment in the form of singing the praises of the BEGA organization. Don't let this fool you though, because she is also a top notch Beyblader. She also uses her singing to help her concentration during a match, as well as to distract her opponents.

Age: Season 1: 15; Season 3: 17 Bitbeast: Salamalyon The sarcastic Johnny is a true Scotsman and plays tennis and golf as side sports to beyblading. He was the last of the Majestics to be introduced. He takes no prisoners in battle both in and out of the beystadium. Although he acts like a big tough guy, he has a golden heart, as proven in the episode A Lesson For Tyson. He also has a very short temper. Johnny is supposedly known as "The Gladiator of Glasgow" due to his phenomenal Beyblading skills. He loses to Kai during the Majestics vs. The Bladebreakers battle because Kai is given advice (much to his displeasure) by his team mates, while Johnny lacks advice because he only knows how to work as an individual. His Beyblade launcher is in the shape of an axe, and his bit-beast is Salamalyon. From the Get-go Kai and Johnny don't get along. When Johnny wants a battle with Kai in the japanese version of the show Kai "declines" stating that Johnny is a "ignorant bastard" and that Kai only wishes to fight "tougher guys" To which Johnny gets angry and replies saying "You bastard...being cocky to me? Even the Queen pays her respects to me!" From this we can gather that at some point Johnny had met the Queen and that the Queen respects Johnny. But Kai doesn't care anything about this impressive statment and replies to Johnny "You should be deepening your relationship with the Queen." Which shows how Kai doesn't care for ones status. Johnny responses by taking off his glove and throwing it at Kai's back, saying "that is unforgivable!" One would think that the throwing of the glove is a childish thing to do, like when one is frustrated. But Oliver explains that "Johnny is requesting a duel" A duel is an engagement in combat between two individuals, with matched weapons in accordance with their combat style. In medieval times when one would demand satisfaction from the offender,in this case Kai, signaling this demand with an inescapably insulting gesture, such as throwing his glove before him. Other known ways to request a duel would be to slap a glove around your offender's face. In the third season, he makes a cameo appearance when he discovers that the Barthez Battalion were cheating. He informs Tyson of this, but tells him that it is too late to report them, because if they were disqualified it would unbalance the entire championships too late in the game. (Source: Wikipedia)

Mathilda's bitbeast is Pierce Hedgehog. Her Beyblade was however destroyed when Coach Barthez decided to destroy it during her Beyblade match against Daichi Sumeragi. Her attack is Poison Needle, and her Beyblade still is a combination of Attack, Defence and Endurance. During her Beyblade matches, when she launches her Poison Needle, she seems to grow butterfly wings, despite the fact that her bitbeast takes the form of a hedgehog. She felt that there was something wrong with him but she kept following his orders out of fear. When Miguel and other members start to stand up to Barthez, Mathilda also starts thinking on her own.
