Satoshi

Utama

Male · Umur 10

Satoshi (known as Ash Ketchum in most international territories) is the main character of the Pocket Monsters anime. He is also the main character of various manga based on the anime, including but not limited to Dengenki Pikachu, Satoshi to Pikachu, and Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl. He is a Pokémon Trainer from Masara Town whose goal is to become a Pokémon Master. His starter Pokémon was a Pikachu that he received from Professor Okido after arriving late at his laboratory. He shares his Japanese name with the creator of the Pocket Monsters franchise, Satoshi Tajiri. His international surname is a pun of the English motto, "Gotta catch 'em all!."

Kasumi

Utama

Female

Kasumi is a Gym Leader of Hanada City's Gym, known officially as the Hanada Gym. She gives the Cascade Badge to Trainers who defeat her in battle. She specializes in Water-type Pokémon. Kasumi is a friend and former traveling partner of the anime's main character, Satoshi. After he stole her bike and proceeded to accidentally destroy it, Kasumi followed him around the Kanto region, the Orange Islands, and the Johto region, using the time she spent with him to further her goal of becoming the greatest Water Pokémon Master.

Mayumi Iizuka

Takeshi

Utama

Male

Takeshi appeared primarily as an opponent to Satoshi in his debut episode; unlike later Gym Leaders, he requested to join Satoshi on his journey, aiming to be the world's greatest Pokémon Breeder. Takeshi mainly provides an advisory role to the other main characters of the anime, being several years older than the rest of them. His knowledge of Pokémon battles is great, causing him to often referee matches between Satoshi and others. Takeshi also fancies himself as something of a ladies' man, though each time he hits on someone he is either rejected outright; pulled away by Kasumi or Masato; or, more recently, Poison Jabbed by his Gureggru.

Shigeru Ookido

Pendukung

Male

Shigeru is a character who is roughly the same age as Satoshi (though Shigeru is assumed to be slightly older, due to the height difference between the two); they were playmates and next-door neighbors when they were younger, but drifted apart when they both discovered their love of Pokémon, according to the video game. At the start of the series his rivalry with Satoshi becomes a recurring motif. Like the video games, manga and anime, Shigeru is described as an overconfident and arrogant trainer who's knowledge of Pokemon stems from being the grandson of Professor Ookido. As Satoshi's rival, he always seems to be a few steps ahead of Satoshi, much to Satoshi's chagrin. Prior to his introduction, Shigeru usually comes off as an arrogant show-off in the beginning. However, his personality begins to change as he matures. Later on in the series, he grows into a nicer and more humble person in both the anime and the video games. Throughout most of the series, he and Satoshi have an ongoing rivalry through most of the Kanto and Johto League sagas. However, this would soon diminish at later point. After his crushing defeat at the Indigo Plateau Pokemon League, his attitude towards Ash, who finished in the top sixteen far ahead of his rival, changes significantly after this turning point. His dealings with Pokemon seem to mature, as he starts travelling alone, wanting to better reestablish himself as a trainer. His rivalry with Satoshi comes to a head at the Johto Leaue Silver Conference semi-finals, both trainers giving it their all, with Satoshi narrowly coming out the victor. After his lost, he then decides to no longer compete for the same goal as Satoshi, but instead dedicate his career into Pokemon research. Although no longer Satoshi's rival, he does tend to motivate Satoshi on ways of bettering himself as a trainer, at times scolding Satoshi when becoming overconfident over his wins particularly in the Orange League and Battle Frontier. In a sense, Shigeru is what urges Satoshi to start yet another new journey by traveling to the different regions across the world, such as Johto and Sinnoh. Despite his many absences in the series, Shigeru continues to remain a vital character, and one of Satoshi's most valued friends. He is bound to make more appearances during the Diamond and Pearl Saga, since he seems to have decided to be both a Pokémon trainer and a Pokémon researcher there. He guest-appears in episode forty-five of the Diamond and Pearl series helping to preserve a group of highly endangered Shieldon with Professor Rowan and his team. Pokemon ( on hand ) Squirtle > Wartortle > Blastoise Squirtle was the first Pokemon that Shigeru received, and has evolved into a Wartortle and then into Blastoise. It has never been removed from Shigeru’s active lineup and is his most powerful Pokemon, having defeated Satoshi’s Heracross and Bayleef. However, Blastoise was defeated by Satoshi’s Charizard despite having a clear Type advantage because Ash’s Charizard was more experienced. When Shigeru left on his new journey after the Johto League, he only took Blastoise with him, a gesture Satoshi would follow when leaving for Hoenn, only taking Pikachu and leaving the rest with Professor Oak. His Squirtle was seen only in a flashback in the episode "Challenge of the Samurai" while the Wartortle was never seen. Doduo > Dodrio Dodrio evolved from a Doduo that Shigeru had previously caught, and is one of the few Pokemon that he continued to carry with him after retiring from competition to become a Pokemon researcher. Eevee > Umbreon Umbreon evolved from Shigeru’s Eevee. Umbreon's main assets are its Agility, and it also seems to be Shigeru’s favorite Pokemon. In Episode 118, "The Rivalry Revival", Shigeru uses his Eevee in a battle against Satoshi's Pikachu. Takeshi remarks that the Eevee has bright eyes and a shiny coat of fur, revealing its high level of experience. Eevee ultimately defeated Pikachu, using a Take Down to knockout its opponent. Kenji noted that Shigeru 's Eevee was ready to evolve into a Stage-1 Pokemon, which happened before the events in Episode 173, "Power Play", in which Satoshi and his companions discover that the Eevee had evolved into an Umbreon. Electivire Shigeru used it to battle Satoshi's Pikachu in the final episode of Pokemon: Battle Frontier "Home Is Where The Start Is", defeating Pikachu with a powerful Thunder Punch. Joy

Pendukung

Nurse Joy is a recurring character in every Pokemon series released. There are multiple Nurse Joys in every town, city and region. They all look the same, have the same voice and personalities. There have been numerous speculations as to why all the Joys look alike, though it seems they are all related in some way. However, there have been instances in which a Nurse Joy has been known to have a different personality and appearance (such as the aggressive sun-tanned Nurse Joy of the Orange Islands). Brock has an ability to tell each Joy apart based on minute details in their differences. Each Joy works in the field of medicine, loves Pokemon and is extremely patient and caring. They are the heads of their respective Pokemon Centres. A Nurse Joy's Pokemon choices are predominantly Chansey and Blissey: nurturing Pokemon that aid in the Pokemon Centres.

Sakaki

Pendukung

Male · Gol. darah O

Anime: Sakaki is the Rocket Team Boss and a former Tokiwa City Gym Leader. He is a very ambitious man and is intolerant of failure. Sakaki is shown to have access to vast wealth and resources. The money probably comes from Rocket Team's main source of income — the profit of selling stolen Pokémon. Sakaki also gains a lot of money from smuggling Pokémon, Pokéball trafficking, and other crime rackets. He has Rocket Tean operations in both Kanto and Johto. He rarely meets people in person, as he prefers to communicate with his underlings via telecommunications. Manga: Sakaki serves much of the same role as he does in the games, although he now has Matis, Natsume, and Kyou as subordinates. However, Sakaki is much more ruthless than his other counterparts.

Gangar

Pendukung

Gangar is a dark purple, bipedal Pokémon with a roundish body. It has red eyes, a wide mouth that is usually curled into a sinister grin, and pointed ears. On its back are numerous spikes and it has smaller spikes on top of its head similar to tufty fur. Its arms and legs are short with three digits on both its hands and feet. It also has a stubby tail. Gangar has the ability to hide perfectly in the shadow of any object, granting it exceptional stealth. However, Gangar's body acts as a heat sink. Its presence cools the temperature of the surrounding area by nearly 10°F (5°C), because it absorbs the warmth. The anime has shown that Gangar can fly and possess people and other Pokémon. In the past, Night Shade was its signature move. Gangar is very mischievous, and at times, malicious. It enjoys playing practical jokes and casting curses, such as pretending to be one's shadow, then behaving erratically. When the quarry notices, the Gangar takes delight in its victim's terror. However, Gangar has been known to be loyal to a Trainer who treats it well. Being the result of an evolution via trading, Gangar is rarely found in the wild, though they can be found in caves and dark places where shadows form. It is especially fond of urban areas such as cities and back alleys, but only during the night. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Officer Jenny is not a single entity. Rather, there are many Jennys working as police officers across the various regions of the Pokémon world. Generally, Officer Jennies are brave and determined, but mostly ineffective in their police duties. They fight against the likes of Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua and Team Galactic - among other miscellaneous criminals. The town/region where a certain Jenny comes from can be discerned by the symbol on their hats which always differs depending on location. Although Jennies appear mostly identical, there is some minor divergence among them, as evidenced by Brock, who is able to recognize different Jennies on numerous occasions. Brock appears to be the only character who can tell them apart. However, each Jenny has a different symbol on her hat that indicates location. There seem to be two Viridian Jennies, as during the Indigo League, two Jennies with the same hat symbol were seen side-by-side. (We know that the symbol in question--a star--indicates Viridian due to previous episodes.) One of the Viridian Jennies maintains a fierce rivalry with the Jenny of Eterna City. Although there are many exceptions, Officer Jenny will generally have Growlithe to use as a police dog. There is a very distinct parallel between the families of Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. This may indicate some sort of relation or deeper connection, and fans have sometimes speculated about such. However, the only thing known about the two families is that they are apparently on good terms. Ash's Squirtle was given to an Officer Jenny who fights fires. It is the leader of a group of four other Squirtle known as the "Squirtle Squad", who serve as the local firefighting team. A young Officer Jenny named Marble appeared in Luxray Vision!. She was in charge of looking for "The Bandit Beauties Three." She was also voiced by 西村ちなみ Chinami Nishimura in Japanese, but voiced by Meghan McCracken in English. An Officer Jenny from Kanto appeared in Stealing the Conversation! with a Chatot as her partner. Apparently, she had come all the way to Sinnoh to capture Jessie, James, and Meowth.

Hanako

Pendukung

She is Ash's mother. Delia is very caring of her son, always reminding him to do his best. She is very talented, having won a beauty pageant and cooked a dish so popular that elite chefs at the Indigo Plateau have asked for its recipe. It is not known who is the father of Ash, but it isn't clear that Ash's parents have separated, although she has contacted him at least once since Ash left. She has a Mr. Mime housekeeper who helps her with chores and is also rather adept in battle. In the Japanese version, the name of Satoshi's mother was, for a long time, unrevealed (with her referring to herself as Satoshi no haha or referred as Mama-san, although the role was credited as Hanako). The name Hanako (and its English counterpart, Delia) was revealed during the second Pocket Monsters movie. She also is constantly reminding Ash to change his underwear. (Source: Wikipedia)

Koduck

Pendukung

Koduck is a yellow Pokémon resembling a duck or bipedal platypus. On top of its head are three thick strands of black hair and it has a wide, flat cream-colored beak. Its eyes seem vacant and have tiny pupils. Its legs and tail are stubby, and it has cream-colored webbed feet. There are three claws on each of its hands. Koduck is constantly stunned by its headache and is unable to think very clearly. It usually stands immobile, trying to calm its headache. However, when its headache becomes too severe, it releases tension in the form of strong psychic powers. The use of these powers produces brain waves identical to those seen in sleepers, and the Pokémon is unable to recall these episodes. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Kairyu

Pendukung

Kairyu is a draconic, bipedal Pokémon with light orange skin. It has large, grayish-green eyes and a round snout with small nostrils. A pair of long, thin antennae sprout from the top of its head with a small horn set between them. Its striated underbelly is cream-colored and extends from its neck to the tip of its long, tapering tail. It has thick arms and legs ending in three claws each. The leg joints are well defined, while its arms have a smooth, rounded appearance. Kairyu's wings are small relative to its body with teal wing membranes. Despite its bulky build, Kairyu is capable of flying faster than the speed of sound. It can circle the globe in sixteen hours, traveling roughly 1,556mph (2,505km/h), or about three times the speed of an average airplane. A kindhearted Pokémon with human-like intelligence, Kairyu shows signs of altruism: it is said to save humans from drowning and lead lost or foundering ships to safety. As demonstrated in the anime, however, it will go on an uncontrollable, destructive rampage if its environment is threatened. Kairyu is very rare in the wild, typically living near the sea. Some claim that there is an island somewhere in the ocean that only Kairyu inhabit. (Source: Bulbapedia) <br> Pocket Monsters (2019):

There are two eyespots on its black tail. Sonans is very protective of its tail, to the point where it will suddenly turn uncharacteristically aggressive if the tail is attacked. (Source: Bulbapedia) Musashi's Sonans originally belonged to a different trainer until she accidentally traded her Beroringa for it. It has a tendency to break out of its Pokéball whenever it feels like it, usually to the dismay of the rest of Rocket-dan, and often joins in when they are blasting off. Sonans is the only Pokémon Rocket-dan obtained in the Original Series that is still part of their team today.

Pendukung

Naetle is a small, light green, quadruped Pokémon resembling a turtle or tortoise. Its eyes, feet, and lower jaw are yellow. Its body is covered by a brown shell that is composed of earth.
