Karakter & Staf

Yukipo

Utama

General traits: This puchidoru is shy and fainthearted, but also surprisingly strong. It often digs holes with its shovel, even in concrete floors. In those it can take naps or simply observes the surroundings from a place of relative safety. It also often sleeps in its cardboard box. However, it is very easily startled while sleeping and can start digging through the floor in a frenzy. Likes to drink tea and eat takuan. Seasonal changes: In winter it grows a tail like that of a tanuki. Unlike other puchidorus, it then prefers to have its tail brushed rather than its hair. Calls: "Po!" (ぽー), "Pui!" (ぷぃー), "Pau!" (ぱぅー), and other similar sounds. Sometimes it uses a toy trumpet and it can also make itself understood by wagging its tail. Azumi Asakura

Chicchan

Utama

General traits: A very booksmart puchidoru that can easily do high-level mathematics and understand foreign languages. In the office it helps out with the paperwork and even calculates budgets and puchidoru maintenance costs. It can often be seen scolding the other puchidorus (mostly Afu) by whacking them over the head or chewing them out vocally, and it also tries to act as a mediator in conflicts between other puchidors and humans. It appears to have weak arms, sometimes having trouble lifting things. It fainted once when Producer stroked its hair, probably because it has a soft spot for Producer. It is good at board games and could beat Ami and Mami while playing in team with Chihaya. Seasonal changes: None. Calls: Usually "Meh!" (めっ). When it gets annoyed or angry, it uses "Mou!" (もー). Discovered by: Kotori Named by: unknown First appearance: Chapter 8 (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Naomi Wakabayashi

Chihya

Utama

General traits: A very aggressive puchidoru that often bites people, especially busty females. However, it is calm around Chihaya who can somehow communicate with it, and it also tolerates Ritsuko. When it wants attention, it can jump onto a person’s head and slap them repeatedly. It is capable of running simple errands and answering phone calls, but no one knows exactly how it achieves this. Likes to sing enka and often carries a small microphone. Likes to drink milk. Seasonal changes: When winter arrives, its summer hair is shed and fur-like winter hair grows out, including what appears to be some kind of animal ears. If cut, this hair is back to its full length already the next day. Calls: "Ku!" (くっ). Also a threatening "Shaa!" (シャー) at busty females and other suspicious people. Other things of note: Chihya has blue eyes, which makes it the only puchidoru to have a different eye-colour from that of its corresponding idol. This is probably a joke on the somewhat common misconception that Chihaya's eyes are blue. Afu

Utama

General traits: One of the smarter puchidorus, it likes to play practical jokes on other puchidorus and on humans. It is a real glutton and even more addicted to onigiri than Miki is, so it often gets into scuffles with Miki about onigiri. It sleeps a lot and not even loud shouting will cause it to wake up. It often gloats about a certain difference in physique between itself and Chihya. Seasonal changes: When summer comes, it sheds its blond hair and grows brown hair. Moreover, its ahoge becomes heart-shaped. Calls: "Afu!" (あふぅ) and "Na no!" (ナノ). In brownhaired form it uses "Hanii!" (はにぃ) at Makoto and Producer. Other things of note: The accepted unit of length among puchidorus is 1 Afu = Afu's body length. For example it is used when measuring swimming distance or estimating how far away a fellow puchidoru is. It is unclear whether or not Afu's ahoge is included in 1 Afu. Akiko Hasegawa

Harukasan

Utama

General traits: This puchidoru is usually friendly, but can sometimes bite people and not let go for the longest time. Moreover, it can take on a wide variety of different forms. If it comes into contact with cold water, it starts to multiply and there will usually be a whole pile of copies in the end. Haruka sometimes pours water on it because she thinks the copies are pretty, and Ami and Mami sometimes pour water on it to create chaos around the office. However, the copies can be made to disappear by someone forecfully uttering the commands "Line up! Return!" (整列！ 戻れ！). It doesn't like bright light and grows weak if staying out in the sun for too long. If it eats something after midnight, it turns into a darker form with its ribbons changing shape to resemble devilish horns. To bring it back to normal, one has to remove the ribbons and then tie them on again in their usual shape. It can also grow extremely large, but no one knows exactly what triggers this. In this form it is docile and doesn't do much, but when fed it will also try to swallow the person feeding it. To return it to normal, one has to slap it in the middle of its forehead. Seasonal changes: None of its changes appear to be seasonally dependent. Calls: "Harukakka!" (はるかっか), "Kakka!" (かっか), "Vaai!" (ヴぁ～い). When in dark form, it laughs with a rather creepy "Ahahahaha...!" (アハハハハ…). Other things of note: Many of Harukasan's different forms and characteristics are based on those of the Mogwai/Gremlins from the movie Gremlins. Eriko Nakamura

Chibiki

Utama

General traits: It is a very emotional puchidoru that often starts crying from just the slightest thing going wrong. This is a problem because it has the more or less magical ability to summon live animals with its tears, something which often creates quite the chaos. The ability is not limited to real animals, but even includes animals from myth and legend. It gives the impression of being from Okinawa. However, because it was unable to recognise a goya plant, Hibiki is not convinced of this. It seems to be very fussy with the details about how food should be prepared, especially hot pot. Seasonal changes: None. Calls: One of the vocally more colourful puchidorus, it uses a lot of different sounds. For example "Haisai!" (はいさい), "Da zo!" (だぞー), "Naisa!" (ないさー), and "Agaa!" (あがー). Discovered by: Koami and Komami Named by: Hibiki First appearance: Chapter 13-B (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Manami Numakura

Yayo

Utama

General traits: It is sensitive to sound and comes running if it hears a coin falling onto the floor. Usually it then goes on to pick up the coin with its teeth. It also has excellent sense of smell and in particular it can smell food even from very far away. Sometimes its hearing and smelling abilities are put to use by sending it out to find things, for example a lost Miurasan. However, this is not always successful since it can easily get distracted by the sound of coins or the smell of food. It can catch fish without equipment, similarly to how a bear does it. It is also a very good swimmer. Seasonal changes: In winter, its hair grows immensely long and becomes almost completely unmanageable. In spring, a bamboo shoot grows out of the top of its head. This bamboo shoot can be removed and then a new bamboo shoot grows out immediately. Calls: "Un-uun!" (うっうー), "Uun!" (うぅ〜). Discovered by: Takane Named by: Takane First appearance: Chapter 7 (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Mayako Nigo

Piyopiyo

Utama

General traits: One of the more mature and calmer puchidorus, it often helps out around the office and is more efficient at paperwork than Kotori is. Although it does not have any visible wings, it has the ability to fly and can even carry people while flying. For example, it is seen hovering in the same spot while carrying Producer, though it does appear to be quite strained from the effort. It is very agile and can easily avoid dangers by quickly taking to the air in an acrobatic manner. However, it relies on its eyesight and since it has the habit of wearing a sleeping mask during sleep, it can panic and fly around at random if it is startled while sleeping. Seasonal changes: None. Calls: "Pi!" (ぴっ), "Pii!" (ぴー). Other things of note: Piyopiyo was first seen in THE iDOLM@STER SP DLC catalogue 3, before it made its first appearance in the manga. It is the only puchidoru not to appear on the two drama CDs, because of Juri Takita's pregnancy at the time of recording. Discovered by: Producer Named by: Chihaya First appearance: Chapter 10 (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Juri Takita

Miura-san

Utama

General traits: It is more mature and much mellower than most other puchidorus. It has the mysterious ability to teleport across great distances, even to the other side of the earth. Somehow it can teleport to the location of the person it is thinking of at the time, but it is not always accurate. Moreover, when startled it can teleport spontaneously to a random location. It can bring along people who are holding on to it and is therefore often used as a means of transportation. It likes to stroke the hair of other puchidorus, but usually the other's hair ends up messy. Chihya's attitude towards it is not the best, because of a certain difference in physique. It seems to be the only puchidoru inclined to drink alcoholic beverages. Seasonal changes: None. Calls: "Ara!" (あらー). Discovered by: Iori and Yayoi while in Egypt Named by: Haruka First appearance: Chapter 11 (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Chiaki Takahashi

Io

Utama

General traits: This puchidoru is very hard to please and often puts up a dismissive or threatening behaviour towards humans and other puchidorus. On the other hand, when left on its own it feels lonely and secretly wants attention. It has the ability to emit an energy beam from its forehead, strong enough to vaporise cockroaches and blast through concrete walls. It can also use its forehead as a reflector or as a source of lighting. It has been trained by Iori to fire the beam at her command but in some situations it can lose control of the beam, for example when sneezing because of a cold. It likes to carry around Iori's stuffed rabbit. Seasonal changes: None. Calls: Usually "Moh!" (もっ). When it gets annoyed or upset, it can let out a "Kii!" (キー). When happy or content, it can laugh with a "Nihihi!" (にひひっ). Discovered by: Azusa while in Africa Named by: Miki First appearance: Chapter 12 (Source: laburey.webs.com)

Haruka Amami

Pendukung

Female · Umur 16-17 · Gol. darah O

Hometown: Kanagawa Height: 158 cm Haruka is the all-around good girl and main heroine in The Idolm@ster. She's enjoyed singing and making sweets since she was a child, despite the fact that she seems to be quite inept as a cook in general. She's easily excited and a bit clumsy, admitting herself that she usually falls down somehow at least once a day. However, Haruka remains positive and keeps a strong resolve, always working the hardest to make the Producer happy. Also, although her character image color is red, personally, Haruka actually tends to be more partial toward the color pink (which is Iori's image color).

Eriko Nakamura

Makoto Kikuchi

Pendukung

Female · Umur 17 · Gol. darah O

Hometown: Shizuoka Height: 159 cm Makoto is popularized as the "pretty-boy idol" within 765 Production, and has accumulated more female than male fans because of this. Granted, she was already rather popular among her fellow students at the all-girls school she attends -- her current work as an idol not making the situation any easier for her. While not ungrateful of her popularity, underneath her gruff, boyish exterior Makoto is actually an honest, sensitive girl, and wishes to make herself more feminine. Therefore, unbeknownst to her father she decided to become an idol in order to find a way to a new, more feminine presence for herself and to show others that she can have a girly side as well. She likes to sport, and collect stuffed animals.

Hiromi Hirata

Yayoi Takatsuki

Pendukung

Female · Umur 13-14 · Gol. darah O

Hometown: Saitama Height: 145 cm Yayoi Takatsuki is very energetic, optimistic, and hyperactive at all times. Her strong will and optimistic traits are perfect for being an idol, though she frequently speaks too loud and sometimes can't control herself so that she is often hushed or punished by others, especially during school. She is also not the smartest of girls, hence the reason why she has low grades in school. Due to her father's unstable occupational status, her family is actually quite poor, as indicated by Yayoi's plain clothing, which she's actually had for a very long time. To earn extra money, Yayoi often does cleaning and other odd jobs around the 765 Production building, and continues to do so even after she debuts as an idol. She's endlessly energetic, however, and never lets the weight of the world discourage her. She likes to read Othello, play baseball and do the gardening. Yayoi is the oldest of 5 siblings and always has to be the one to look after them, but also wishes that she had an "older brother" type around to look after her. Yayoi is also very greedy and self-conscious when it comes to finance, she occasionally asks the Producer to lend her money. If she feels like she spent money on something useless, even down to just 10 yen, she will become extremely depressed and can stay in bed for days with her regrets haunting her.

Mayako Nigo

Iori Minase

Pendukung

Female · Umur 15 · Gol. darah AB

Hometown: Tokyo Height: 147 cm The daughter of one of the associates of the 765 Production president, Iori is a spoiled rich girl who flaunts her family's wealth around. Although she is quite polite and refined on stage and in public, when with the Producer and other girls she has a very sharp tongue, and is quick to berate other people's intelligence (especially the Producer's). As a result of having two older brothers, Iori has grown up with a deep complex of hating to lose, and thus rarely shows any weaknesses. She does, however, have a much softer side that she shows from time to time, making her personality that of a tsundere character. She likes to vacation abroad and shop. The stuffed rabbit that she carries around with her constantly is named "Usa-chan".

Rie Kugimiya

Yukiho Hagiwara

Pendukung

Female · Umur 16-17 · Gol. darah A

Hometown: Tokyo Height: 155 cm A terrible crybaby, Yukiho aspires to become an idol in order to one day shed her cowardly disposition. She's afraid of dogs (even chihuahuas seem threatening to her) and doesn't do well with boys either. Having grown up in a strict, traditional Japanese household, Yukiho's drink of choice is tea; predominantly green tea. Also, among her hobbies is writing poetry, but she's usually too shy to even share her poems with anyone. Whenever she's depressed, she has a habit of running off exclaiming she'll "go dig a hole and bury herself in it", however whether this is just a saying or if she actually digs holes remains a bit of a mystery. Yukiho also appears as a downloadable skin for the F-117 in the video game Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.

Azumi Asakura

Ritsuko Akizuki

Pendukung

Female · Umur 19 · Gol. darah A

Hometown: Tokyo Height: 156 cm The cool, smart-girl type, Ritsuko believes in theory more than her own inner strength. Originally an intern working at 765 Production after graduating from high school, due to a lack of girls scouted by 765 Production Ritsuko became an idol herself. Though despite being an idol, she still has one hand in the business side of her own celebrity, and is quick to chide the Producer if she thinks he isn't doing his job right. Also, Ritsuko's appearance remains conservative and business-like, as she always wears glasses and keeps her hair in two modest pigtails. No matter the costume or event in the game, she never takes her glasses off, or lets her hair down.

Naomi Wakabayashi

Azusa Miura

Pendukung

Female · Umur 20-21 · Gol. darah O

Hometown: Chiba Height: 168 cm Azusa Miura, the oldest amongst all idols in the game, is known to be the "big sister-type" character. She had just graduated from junior college when she decided to debut as an idol. Azusa is somewhat of a light-headed and slow-paced character, and does not like being rushed. She also does not like spice food and gets motion sickness easily. She has a very easy going and carefree personality, but has an incredibly terrible sense of direction, and usually finds herself lost, even when having directions or a map and compass. Azusa also enjoys giving and reading fortunes, and has a firm belief that she'll one day fall in love with her "destined someone". One of her motivations for becoming an idol, in fact, is for her someone to one day perhaps find her first.

Chiaki Takahashi

Miki Hoshii

Pendukung

Female · Umur 15 · Gol. darah B

Hometown: Kanagawa Height: 161 cm Miki has rarely had to work hard for anything. It is because of this that she always approaches tasks with a very laid back attitude. She manages good grades with minimal effort, and was born with good-looks that belie her age. She even receives around 20 confessions of love per day from boys. She's grown up in a very laissez-faire family, who had no problems with her becoming an idol. While she doesn't really have cruel intentions, she believes like everything else, she can make her way to becoming top idol easily. As she appears only in the Xbox 360 version of the game, Miki is in some ways the second main character (behind Haruka) and her character is developed considerably over the game's year-long timespan. Later in the game, she cuts her hair short and no longer dyes it blonde. Originally, Miki wasn't supposed to be in the game (as seen in the promo). This could be why she does not appear in anime spin-off Idolmaster: Xenoglossia.

Akiko Hasegawa

Chihaya Kisaragi

Pendukung

Female · Umur 16 · Gol. darah A

Hometown: Tokyo Height: 162 cm Cool and serious, Chihaya has the greatest enthusiasm towards music and, according to the game, the greatest natural talent for it. She earnestly believes that if she were no longer able to sing, she would rather die. She doesn't care for the title of "idol" and prefers to refer to herself as a "vocalist" instead, somewhat rejecting the non-singing parts of being an idol. During her time off, Chihaya enjoys listening to classical music and generally spends time by herself. This gives her an aura of maturity, however in reality she's just awkward when it comes to communicating with other people.

Ami Futami

Pendukung

Female · Umur 13 · Gol. darah B

Hometown: Tokyo Height: 158 cm A playful pair of twin sisters who make a two-girl singing sensation. Ami and Mami both enjoy doing impressions and teasing their friends, though Mami seems to somewhat be a little more mature than Ami (even though she is technically the younger one). The only way to tell the two girls apart is through their hairstyles -- Ami tying her hair to the right, Mami to the left -- otherwise, they are completely identical. They use this fact by switching their hairstyles and both performing as idols (underneath Ami's name). The only people privy to the fact that Ami is actually a pair of twins are the insiders of 765 Production.
