Yoh Asakura

Utama

Male · Umur 13 (season 1), 14 (season 2), 22 (in the end) · Gol. darah A

Height: 160 cm Birth Place: Izumo, Japan Hobby: Listening to music and sleeping Favorite Food: Udon Curry Quotes: "Don't worry, it'll work out somehow." Yoh was born into the famous Shaman family, Asakura. He has a twin brother named Hao who is a powerful reincarnation of the original HAO who keeps getting reborn. For this reason, Yoh is said to be the only one who can defeat his brother, and he himself is, as stated in the manga, a half of the original HAO, thus has many of the qualities of the reincarnation before him. Yoh also has a fiance, named Anna, who he saved from her destructive power of Reishi (mind-reading put simply) which is helped by Hao's old cat friend, Matamune. Matamune, however, dies drastically after saving Anna's life, giving the last bit of his energy to do this. When Yoh was 13, he joined the Shaman Fight, with the reason to make his life a more comfortable place, for both him and Anna. Yoh himself is a pretty laid-back type of guy. He gets along with everyone around him, and making friends comes easy to him. Although he may not seem serious most of the time, he actually can get really serious when needed to be. Ironically, his twin brother, Hao is a bit like this as well, and many of Yoh's characteristics overlap with his as well. Yoh however, seems to be a bit more sensible than Hao since he looks at things always in a positive light and has something good to say about everything.

Amidamaru

Samurai that died during the Muromachi period 600 years ago - now is Yoh's ghost companion. He is very powerful and wise but quite taciturn and extremely devoted to "Lord Yoh" ("Yō-dono" in Japanese). He is the original handler of the legendary sword named "Harusame", meaning "Spring Rain", a sword forged by his best friend, Mosuke, who also appeared in the anime/manga as a spirit. This very same sword was reproduced as a "spirit sword" and used by Asakura Yoh during the Shaman Fight. The original was kept in a museum. His name is based on the Buddha Amitabha, the principal figure in the Pure Land Buddhist sect. (Source: Wikipedia)

Ren Tao

Utama

Male · Gol. darah AB

Len is a Shaman from China, one of the few remaining members of the Tao Family, who after their years of serving as the guardians of the Forbidden City, became outcasts and condemned as witches and devils. Those two centuries of suffering were the fuel of the hatred En bared for those outside of their clan and even more for those of the Tao family who associated themselves with outsiders like his brother or Len's father (in the Japanese version, En is Len's father, in the English version, is his uncle). Len was taught to hate and see the worst in people, with the Tao family Crest magically tattooed on his back by his uncle as a reminder of his "destiny" to be Shaman King so he can punish the world for what it did to the Tao clan. But that all changed when he met and fought Yoh, whose laid back nature and friends convinced Len that En was wrong about people. Ren is serious, logical, and quite aloof. He tries hard to maintain a tough and confident exterior, but deep down would risk his own life for his allies. He is a particularly impatient person with a short temper and isn't afraid to hurt the source of the anger. Because of how he was raised amongst dead corpses and spirits he began applying the survival of the fittest rule as a way of overcoming death. He is also an egotistical person and usually doesn't care that people think that he's overly proud. He even named his own team, Team "The Ren", much to the annoyance of his teammate, Horohoro. In addition, Ren is also very intuitive, quick-witted, sometimes quite stubborn and he can also be very defiant.

Chocolove McDonell

Utama

Joco met his mentor, Orona, on a snowy night when he was young. Orona was among the crowd of people who circled around a victim who was being robbed. The police had the robber surrounded, but he threatened everyone by threatening to kill the victim. Orona stood out from the crowd and asked the police to give him a chance. Joco was watching him, and before he knew it, the robber was laughing his head off and was being carried off by the police. In the manga, the circumstances between Orona and Joco's first meeting are different. After killing a man on Christmas with his gang members from Shaft (the name of the gang, not a specific person or place), Joco walks alone on the streets, reflecting on the horrible murder of his parents on Christmas day years ago (this resentment of the day and humankind is why he shot the man mentioned earlier). After making a little comment, a stranger (Orona) appears and makes a pun with a sight gag using fake blood. After telling him to go away, Joco shoots his gun, but Orona dodges all his shots. Saying that he could not use laughter to help Joco, Orona uses his oversoul with Mic to punch him. The fact that Joco laughs at Orona's comment about using laughter to save the world and that Joco sees Mic forges a relationship between the two. His former master used to own a power spirit named Mic Jaguar (a takeoff from Mick Jagger), who was passed down to Joco when he died. In the manga, he gains a second spirit guardian named Pascal Avaf. With the power of Pascal Avaf, Joco creates his armor oversoul, Jaguarman. Joco killed Redseb's and Seyram's father (the man he killed on Christmas) before he repented under his teacher. He went blind in order to atone for his sins. He also became the strongest of the Five Elemental Warriors, and gained the Spirit of Wind. (Source: Wikipedia)

Jun lets Bailong obey her commands only if he wishes to. In the manga and the original anime, Jun's father is named Tao Yúan (道円, also known as "Tao En"), and her mother is named Ran. In the English anime, her father is dead and En is her uncle. In the English anime, Len and Jun have British accents. Later on in the series, she and Tamao fight against Hana-gumi in order to defend Redseb and Seyrem until Mikihisa shows up. Also only in the manga, because of her knowledge in human anatomy, she becomes the apprentice of Sati, and she is also able to revive people. (Source: Wikipedia)

Initially, she is so shy that she uses her sketchbook and points to pictures in order to tell people what she wants to say. Orphaned at a young age, she was brought to the Asakura family by Yoh's father, Mikihisa Asakura. Tamao's specialty is her use of a kokkuri board, which is similar to a Ouija board, in order to perform divinations. Nana Mizuki

Iron Maiden Jeanne

Pendukung

Female · Umur 11 · Gol. darah AB

An 11-year-old young girl from France and powerful shaman in her own right, Jeanne is the leader of the X-Laws. Her title of Iron Maiden refers to the fact spends nearly all her time inside an iron maiden in order to increase her strength by keeping her in a near death state. She rarely leaves it unless she is desperately needed, believing her suffering will bring justice to the world. Her iron maiden, however, was crushed most likely beyond repair. She is known for her red eyes and very pale hair and almost fragile appearance. She is extremely charismatic; in the English anime Tamao Tamamura calls her a "princess" after hearing her speak for the first time. Little is known about Jeanne's history or family situation. Supposedly she is named after Jeanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc), one of the Patron Saints of France. The series states that Jeanne was a French country girl with shaman powers, who received a divine revelation at the age of ten while praying in a Catholic church. A cross of light appeared and a mysterious voice revealed to her the world was to be destroyed unless it was purged of an evil force. Recognizing the evil force to be Hao Asakura, Jeanne chose to become a shaman. Jeanne's passionate hatred of Hao derives from the fact she believes him to be the ultimate evil. While she believes herself to be a martyr of sorts and is still very soft-spoken and compassionate towards the X-Laws, specially towards young Lyserg Diethel (she defended and praised Lyserg several times when Marco was too hard on him), she has become detached from humanity and is unable to see that not everything is black and white. In a way, Jeanne is like Hao, since she kills whoever stands in her way indiscriminately, if they don't surrender to her pleas for peace. They both believe that they are helping the world and their actions will be justified by the end results. The difference is that Jeanne honestly believes she is stopping the fighting and is blinded with the belief that her fighting is helping despite the deaths caused, while Hao is fully aware of his evil and the true nature of his actions. When in her armored form, Jeanne wears sandals with spikes going into her feet (yet they do not pierce her) and also wears a giant lock on her abdominal region, like a chastity belt. These two items seem to represent self-flagellation.Though she is seen as emotionless, her eyes will well up with tears, and the eyes on the face of the Iron Maiden will cry tears of blood when she herself feels sad and needs to cry.

Marco Lasso

Pendukung

He is the defacto leader of the X-Laws, only overruled by Iron Maiden Jeanne. He originates from Sicily, Italy. Orphaned from an early age, Marco was raised in a Catholic church-orphanage by a priest. Together with Jeanne and Lyserg Diethel he is part of Team "X-I". Like most other of the X-Laws, Marco is extremely loyal to Jeanne, and will stop at nothing to achieve what he believes will bring about Jeanne's ideals of a world free of corruption and evil. Like Jeanne, he tends to see issues in black and white; either something is good or evil. Those who join the X-Laws are considered good and those who do not are automatically evil and with Asakura Hao. When he first appeared he seemed very gentle, but later as commended by Luchist he lacks flexibility which in turn, makes him annoyed and angry about the smallest things. This will sometimes lead his hair to spike out in a comical maner and making him crush his own glasses when agitated and stresses, which is also the reason why he carries a set of three spare glasses in his shoulder patch. The only thing that can calm him down seems to Jeanne and in some rare cases, quality chocolate with coffee. He heavily believes in discipline, to the degree where he punches Lyserg when he is up late. During fights he also have a tendency to give people several death sentences. He also have a great love cars, which led him to form his own cardealership.

Unlike most of the Patch Priests who just oversee the fights, to make sure they are following the rules, Silva believes that the Patch Priests should intervene more in the fights, to avoid the massive death count fights leads to. Silva has five guardian ghosts in total, who are luminous totems and combines them to his body to use in battle: Silver Sheild the Turtle - He is often seen talking reason. Silver Wing the Eagle - Appears rather arrogant. Says that human spirits cannot form an Over Soul because of their large ego. Silver Horn the Buffalo - He rarely talks and stutters a lot. Silver Rod the Snake - In the anime series, it is revealed she is a female. Silver Tail the Coyote - He usually just agrees with the other spirits.

Pai-Long Lee

Pendukung

The White Dragon"; Lee Pai-Long was a kung fu movie star who was murdered by the Tao clan to be Jun's Jiang-si bodyguard. He is a thinly-veiled reference to Bruce Lee, who died under suspicious circumstances. Technically, he is not a spirit, but a living corpse reanimated using Tao Jun's "ofuda". However, he can be considered to be serving a similar purpose, since he serves Tao Jun and hangs around her perpetually. He is known as Lee Pai-Long in the English anime. Pai-Long was born on November 29, 1948 and died mysterious at the age of thirty; his body disappeared after his funeral. It is later revealed that Pai-Long was murdered to be Tao Jun's guardian jiāngshī. Once he becomes self-aware again, he forgives Jun for what her family did to him and becomes very attached to her. Lee Pai-Long's sensei, Sha-wen (Shaolin in the English anime), founded a variation of the Chāolín ("super forest") Temple Style (a parody of Shaolin). Sha-wen created the Ruichong-quan kung-fu (Eijuken in the English anime). Sha-wen's Ruichong-quan kung-fu was the basis of Bailong's style, the Dǎodàn-do (dǎodàn is Chinese for "missile"), which combined Boxing, Muay Thai, and Karate. Before Pai-Long died, he intended to create a perfect version of it and he intended not to pass it on until he finally perfected it. Pai-Long died before he could complete his art form. Various Daodan Do moves include Fu chong Hong Zha si (dive bomber, a series of matrix like flips), followed by Hong Zha Jiao (Bomb kick, a thrust to the face using the right leg) or the Dao Dan Jiao (rochet kick, a sudden thrust to the body with the legs).
