Mikazuki Munechika

Utama

Male

Crafted by Sanjo Munechika, a swordsmith from the Heian period. He is one of the Five Great Swords of Japan, and is said to be the most beautiful of them all. His appearance as a swordsman is as elegant as a Heian aristocrat. It sounds good to say that he has great capacity, and he is the ultimate laid-back person.

Kousuke Toriumi

Kunihiro Yamanbagiri

Utama

Male

An uchigatana said to have been forged in imitation of the spiritual blade Yamanbagiri. He harbors a complex over the fact that he is not the original. Disliking being called beautiful, he deliberately dresses in a shabby manner. While his actual capabilities are more than sufficient, he is—in various ways—rather emotionally twisted.

Tomoaki Maeno

Souza Samonji

Utama

Male

An uchigatana attributed to Samonji, a swordsmith from Chikuzen. The second son of the three unlucky brothers, it is a blade of ruin that has passed through the hands of many masters. His eyes, tinged with a faint despair, beguile those who gaze into them. His body bears markings that signify him as a Demon King.

Yuuki Tai

Fudou Yukimitsu

Utama

Male

Oda Nobunaga's cherished sword. It is said that whenever Nobunaga became intoxicated, he would strike his knee and sing: "Fudou Yukimitsu, Tsukumo-gami—and among men, there is Gorouza." The sword was bestowed upon Mori Ranmaru, and is believed to have been consumed by flames during the Honnou-ji Incident. Its name derives from the fact that it bore relief carvings of Fudou Myouou, along with his two attendants, Kongara Douji and Seitaka Douji.

Daisuke Sakaguchi

Heshikiri Hasebe

Utama

Male

An Uchigatana forged by Hasebe Kunishige. Its name derives from an incident in which Nobunaga—upon discovering a tea-serving monk hiding beneath a kitchen shelf—sliced through both the monk and the shelf in a single stroke. Fiercely loyal to his master, he yearns to be their foremost retainer, though he never voices this desire aloud. He performs even the dirtiest of tasks without hesitation.

Tarusuke Shingaki

Yagen Toushirou

Utama

Male

A tantou made by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu. One of the Toushirou brothers. The origin of it's name comes from the stone medicine mortar that it cut, earning the reputation as a sword with "an extraordinary cutting ability but will not kill its master." Because he's raised for the battlefield, he has some medical science knowledge.

Seiichirou Yamashita

Kousetsu Samonji

Utama

Male

A tachi forged by Samonji, a swordsmith from Chikuzen. He is the eldest of the three unlucky brothers. Although he bears the appearance of a Buddhist monk, his eyes possess a color as cold as ice. He abhors conflict, believing that sorrow can be healed only through prayer.

Takuya Satou

Sayo Samonji

Utama

Male

A Tantou forged by Samonji, a swordsmith of Chikuzen. The youngest of the Three Unfortunate Brothers, Saya Samonji found meaning in life through vengeance. His attire is rather humble—a reflection of the fact that he once belonged to a bandit.

Ayumu Murase

Ichigo Hitofuri

Utama

Male

A sword forged by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu, who was known as a master of short sword crafting. As the eldest brother, he is loved by the Toushirou brothers and is called "Big Brother Ichi." He always has a kind and gentle smile, but there is a hint of sadness in his expression from time to time.

Atsushi Tamaru

Namazuo Toushirou

Utama

Male

A wakizashi crafted by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu, a swordsmith active during the Kamakura period. Originally a ko-naginata (short naginata), it was subsequently shortened and reshaped into a wakizashi. Possessing a strong will, he sometimes admonishes his master to ensure—this time, at least—that he is not consumed by fire. As one of the Toushirou brothers, he takes a particular interest in looking after Honebami Toushirou.

Souma Saitou

Shokudaikiri Mitsutada

Utama

Male

A sword made by Mitsutada, who is said to be the true founder of the Bizen Osafune swordsmithing school. It's name originates from when Date Masamune killed one of his retainers and also managed to cut down a candlestand at the same time. He's a stylish person who fusses over his appearance.

Takuya Satou

Tsurumaru Kuninaga

Utama

Male

A tachi who has the name of a swordsmith from Heian era, Gojou Kuninaga inscribed on it. Dressed in white clothes that resembles a crane, he lightly jests about how it will be stained red during battle. It shows that despite his witty and whimsical behaviour, he has never forgotten about how to fight in war.

Souma Saitou

Kashuu Kiyomitsu

Pendukung

Male

The uchigatana that is said to have been used by Shinsengumi's Okita Souji. Perhaps because he was born in an impoverished environment, he believes that as long as he keeps himself pretty he will be loved by his owner. Seemingly the polar opposite of Yamatonokami Yasusada with whom he quarrels all the time, they are good friends in reality.

Toshiki Masuda

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki

Pendukung

Male

A tachi sword is known as the beloved sword of Sakamoto Ryoma. Although he still retains a somewhat country-like appearance, he loves new things and values forward-thinking thinking. He is straightforward in both his own ambition and loyalty to his master.

Kento Hama

Kasen Kanesada

Pendukung

Male

An uchigatana (Japanese sword) crafted by the second Kanesada, also known as "Nosada." It's name, Kasen Kanesada, comes from either the 36 Immortals of Poetry (kasen), or the 36 retainers who were executed by it's owner, Hosokawa Tadaoki. Although he is a man of culture, he has a strong physique and a bad habit of using force to get by.

Kaito Ishikawa

Hachisuka Kotetsu

Pendukung

Male

A tachi sword that was made by Kotetsu, a swordsmith active during the Edo period. It is a genuine Kotetsu sword, famous for the large number of counterfeits he produced. Its style and beauty are impeccable. While he dotes on his younger brother Urashima Kotetsu, he resents his older brother Nagasone Kotetsu, who is a counterfeit.

Kazuyuki Okitsu

Doudanuki Masakuni

Pendukung

Male

Made by Doutanuki Fujiwara Masakuni, a swordsmith from Higo, Kyushu. The sword is made with almost no decorative elements, and you can see the maker's commitment to practicality. Doutanuki's prowess was also demonstrated at the Meiji Emperor's helmet-breaking ceremony. He is truly simple, sturdy, and strong.

Tooru Sakurai

Yamabushi Kunihiro

Pendukung

Male

A tachi forged by Kunihira, engraved with images of Fudou Myouou and Sanskrit characters, alongside the inscription "buun choukyuu" (May Your Martial Fortune Endure). It bears the signature "Yamabushi no toki-da no" (Forged While a Yamabushi), suggesting it was crafted during the period when Kunihira was undergoing ascetic training as a mountain priest. True to his name, he dresses in the attire of a yamabushi—a man who absolutely loves the rigors of training. He suffers from a bad habit: he is prone to suddenly declaring he is off to train, only to seclude himself deep within the mountains.

Tooru Sakurai

Horikawa Kunihiro

Pendukung

Male

This wakizashi was (some say) made by Horikawa Kunihiro, a swordsmith active during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It is said to have been a favorite of Shinsengumi vice-commander Hijikata Toshizo. He is also the partner and assistant of Izuminokami Kanesada. He is polite and caring, but harbors a burning fighting spirit deep in his heart.

Junya Enoki

Taroutachi

Pendukung

Male

An oudachi of extraordinary proportions—a blade of a size that no mere human could possibly wield. While various theories surround its origins, it currently serves as the sacred object enshrined within a Shinto shrine. As a weapon forged for the battles of the gods, he finds the so-called secular world rather uncongenial. He is the brother of Jiroutachi.

Yuuki Tai

Jiroutachi

Pendukung

Male

While it does not quite rival the Taroutachi, it remains an Oudachi of exceptional proportions. The Oudachi served as a tool for the samurai class to flaunt their physical prowess, and was notably favored by the so-called kabukimono. Consequently, he possesses a flamboyant and somewhat feminine aesthetic; yet—true to his nature as an Oudachi—his reliability is absolutely beyond reproach.

Eiji Miyashita

Ookurikara

Pendukung

Male

An uchigatana said to be the work of Hiromitsu of the Soushuu tradition. As it was handed down through the Date clan, it shares a history with Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Taikogane Sadamune, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga. However, he is a solitary existence that dislikes familiarity beyond what is strictly necessary. He bears a carving of the Kurikara Dragon King—the avatar of Fudou Myouou.

Makoto Furukawa

A wakizashi crafted by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu, a swordsmith active during the Kamakura period. Originally a naginata, it was subsequently shortened and reshaped into a wakizashi. He has lost most of his memories and is a man of few words. He is one of the Toushirou brothers.

Yuuto Suzuki

Midare Toushirou

Pendukung

Male

A tantou forged by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu. One of the Toushirou brothers. Its name is derived from the irregular hamon—a feature rarely seen in Yoshimitsu's surviving works. Kazutomi Yamamoto

Maeda Toushirou

Pendukung

Male

A tantou forged by Awataguchi Yoshimitsu. One of the Toushirou brothers. It has been handed down through the Maeda family lineage. Much like Hirano, he is frequently assigned to guard duty; having even served within a lady's bedchamber, he possesses a remarkable degree of thoughtfulness. He wishes for his master to prioritize survival above all else—even over victory or defeat.
