Kodaka Hasegawa

Utama

Male · Umur 17 · Gol. darah AB

Kodaka is a transfer student who has not been able to make friends in his first month at St, Chronica's. Of all of the members of the club, he is the most gentle, balanced and socially competent in personality; but his unusual hair color, inherited from his late English mother, leads classmates to assume he is a violent and abusive delinquent and spread defamatory rumors about him. Because of his long experience of antagonism, Kodaka has become accustomed to fighting and can defend himself quite well. His father is working in the United States, and so he takes care of his younger sister alone at home, which has also made him a good cook. His childhood was characterized by frequent movement, and as a result he has few memories related to home life and close friendships; however, though he does not realize it at first, he and Yozora were childhood friends before his family moved.

Yozora Mikazuki

Utama

Female · Umur 17

Height: 162 cm (5'4") Yozora Mikazuki is the founder, first member, and club president of the Neighbor's Club. Prideful and easily provoked by nature, Yozora detests "normals" and that is the reason why Yozora doesn't have any friends along with the fact that she's a natural loner. She also preferred to have an "air friend", whom she calls "Tomo-chan" but decided to make a club to make friends. She is a cruel and selfish black-haired girl who says she understands and respects bullying but resents being called a bully herself. Yozora's difficult personality drives away anyone who might wish to make friends with her before she meets Kodaka. She dislikes individuals who act friendly over their first interaction, a trait she also shares with Sena, due to the suspicion of treachery and betrayal in the end. Yozora is also very prone to depression whenever she's at a state of loss to the point where her pessimism gets the best of her. Still, Yozora is very selfless and is willing to throw away her reputation and even her very own safety to lend a helping hand to the people who share her pain and past experiences as a neglected loner. Yozora is very smart, she had high results on the semestral tests and even scored full marks on one of them (Modern Japanese). She also has quite a good understanding of people combined with mentioned intelligence and acting skills, which lets her effortlessly outsmart and manipulate her fellow club members. Yozora also has great leadership skills and she is good athletically too. Yozora has a mild anti-social personality, she values privacy greatly and hence, dislikes parlors (which is the reason why she has kept her hair so long) and crowded areas (to the point where it will be nauseating for her). As such, Yozora dislikes talking about more sensitive matters like careers and romance. Yozora also claims to have a soft spot for children although her treatment towards Maria seems to indicate the opposite, though, she did that mainly because of Maria's haughtiness and rudeness towards Yozora when she wanted to use the chapel as a club-room. In Haganai CONNECT, it was revealed that she is looked up to by a boy (Wakagi Mitsuta) who often visits the bookshop she works at, where she is seen as an older sister figure. Whenever Mitsuta has trouble with school or something else, he will go and ask for her advice and Yozora will try to give what she thinks is the best, even if it regarding something she dislikes (romantic themes). Mitsuta is also Kobato's classmate and has a girlfriend named Miki.

Sena Kashiwazaki

Utama

Female · Umur 17

Height: 164 cm (5'5") Sena Kashiwazaki is the female tritagonist of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. She is the first recruited member of the Neighbor's Club and the daughter of Tenma Kashiwazaki, headmaster of St. Chronica's Academy. Her wealth, beauty, and outstanding academic and athletic performance have made her popular among male students, and likewise, have made her an outcast among girls. Starting from high school, Sena continuously took first place in all tests, exams, and competitions. A year prior to the start of the story, Sena in her freshman year of high school, won multiple athletic events in the school annual festival. She entered the 200-meter race, cavalry battle, the scavenger hunt race, the obstacle race, the bread-eating race, the marathon, winning all of them effortlessly. On the outside, Sena appears to be an ordinary high school girl, but in truth, Sena is arrogant and prideful by nature and she is well aware of this. Sena considers herself to be the school queen or goddess and so often she treats her male classmates only as servants to be used, although many of them would like to be her boyfriend. Nonetheless, she holds Kodaka to a higher standard. Sena also believes that there are two types of girls; the ones who are willing to be her friends and the others who are not worthy of her. Sena also does not treat the boys in her class with much respect due to them constantly ogling her, and slavishly doing whatever she tells them to. However, whenever Sena's ego is shaken by someone (usually Yozora), she bursts into tears and flings childish insults before running away. Sena was surprised to see that Kodaka does not act like the boys in her class (wanting to be stepped on) and hence, views Kodaka in a different light. She first saw him in this different light when he rescued her from some guys who were harassing her at a public pool. Since then, her feelings have increased to the point where she nonchalantly admits that she wouldn't mind marrying him and that she is in love with him. Her father was the best friend of Hayato Hasegawa, and because of this, some time in her early childhood Sena met Kodaka Hasegawa (though both of them couldn't remember this).

Rika Shiguma

Utama

Umur 16

Rika Shiguma is a main supporting character from the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series, a freshman and scientific genius whose presence at St. Chronica's Academy was designed to increase its prestige. She was saved by Kodaka when she fell unconscious during a disastrous lab experiment (she invented and released sleeping gas that works in just a few seconds), and begs to repay his kindness with sex. She joined the Neighbor's Club just to get closer to him. She is the fifth member of the club. Rika was a shut-in before joining, being isolated from the outside world her personal room in the school, she prefers the life of a loner like Yozora and like her, is extremely anti-social. As a fujoshi, she is a passionate consumer of BL dōjinshi and magazines, is comically aroused by intercourse between mecha, and is delighted when Yukimura offers to have sex with Kodaka. Although there are many adult themes in the series, she is the most sexually forward member. This was clearly highlighted in her first speaking appearance when she described the attractions of rape to Kodaka in the middle of a stunned class. She has a habit of inserting any sexual innuendo possible in her sentences, to the point where she finds it normal to convert every innocent thought into something perverted. Rika is proud of her pervertedness, as she says that she would be a boring person if people only thought of her as a genius girl. To compound her eccentricity, she speaks in the third person. She also greatly enjoys BL-related media, mostly H-games and novels, to the point of watching one in front of everyone and fantasizing about Kodaka with Yukimura (before Yukimura was revealed to be female). Despite her perverseness, Rika is shown to be very caring towards her club-mates as she is very sensitive to everyone's well-being and is almost always depicted in high-spirits. She is quite pestered by the fact that her club-mates usually feign ignorance about their already-established friendship by claiming that they are still friendless and view each other only as club-mates, especially Kodaka. Rika seems to delight in shocking others with her forwardness, especially the unflappable Kodaka. His casual manner of dismissing her advances becomes a major source of frustration for her, however. Throughout the series, he responds increasingly cooly to Rika's attempts to get his attention, to which she is visibly disappointed. While Rika enjoys shocking others she is easily overwhelmed when any sort of genuine affection is leveled at her, and usually blushes intensely when receiving it. Despite her sporadic persona, Rika is perhaps the most dedicated member in terms of achieving the club’s intended goal to make friends. Unbeknownst to the other characters, except for Kodaka, she puts forth a tremendous amount of effort behind the scenes to make some club activities, such as the VR game and club film, an enjoyable experience for everyone. Kobato Hasegawa

Pendukung

Female · Umur 13

Height: 150 cm (4'11") Kobato Hasegawa is the female secondary tritagonist from the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. She is Kodaka Hasegawa's younger sister and a student in the middle school division of St. Chronica's Academy who becomes the sixth member of the Neighbor's Club (with Yozora Mikazuki's approval) despite her juniority. She is very close to her brother and behaves in a jealous and clingy way whenever she feels that he is not giving her the attention she deserves, almost to the point where it is obvious that she has a brother complex. Shortly after birth Kobato and Kodaka's mother had passed away. Due to their father's low interaction with them, Kodaka had taken care of Kobato at a young age thus her becoming extremely clingy towards him. She sees Maria as a rival for Kodaka's brotherly affections and often gets into fights with the latter. The reason Kobato cannot make friends, (or rather, doesn't want to make any friends) is that she is under a constant self-delusion of being a Gothic vampire, and being naturally shy. In fact, she is wildly popular with the other students of her class, boys and girls alike. She has a penchant for darkness, vampires, and the macabre ever since she started watching an anime called Full Metal Necromancer. As a result, she often speaks in an affected fashion and claims to be known as "Reisys VI Felicity Sumeragi", an ancient vampire who has lived for ten thousand years, but this façade quickly breaks down when she gets emotionally worked up and she speaks in a strong Kyūshū accent. Indeed, her behavior does not for the most part differ from that of a regular girl (procrastinating with her homework, staying inside when it is hot, etc.) which Kodaka points out, causing her to be embarrassed and slightly lose character. Despite having the tendency to avoid strangers, Kobato seems to appreciate people who would act as a guardian to her, particularly her brother and Yozora. However, Kobato is not particularly fond of people who act aggressively in gaining her attention, particularly, people like Sena.

Maria Takayama

Pendukung

Female · Umur 10

Height: 146 cm (4'9") Maria Takayama is a supporting character from the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. Maria is the supervising teacher and moderator of the Neighbor's Club and is a nun. While being exceptionally gifted in academics, she can also be very rude and immature, when annoyed. She refers to others as "Rotten mandarin." She develops a sibling-like relationship with Kodaka, who regularly makes her packed lunches, and is affectionate with him, also stating that she wouldn't mind marrying him when she gets older much to Kobato's annoyance. She is also gullible, which Yozora uses to her advantage. The reason why Maria cannot make friends is that she is an immature child prodigy whose wisdom stems not as much from natural talent, as from advanced education. Maria is childish and displays this tendency numerous times, even when claiming that she's an adult. While she may not realize this herself, Maria really wants to befriend Kobato, to the point that she felt jealous about how popular Kobato really is with her classmates. According to Kate, before becoming the Neighbor's Club's advisor, Maria was quite pessimistic. She feels a lot more comfortable in class than out of class. She says that she's real cocky with her grades and as such, has trouble making friends. Her ability to make friends has apparently gotten worse since she started skipping grades.

Yukimura Kusunoki

Pendukung

Female (first introduced as Male) · Umur 16

Yukimura Kusunoki is a supporting character from the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai series. She is first introduced as Kodaka's stalker. Her first meeting with the Neighbor's Club resulted in gender confusion, as her appearance was decidedly feminine despite her claiming to be male. She admiringly sees Kodaka as a romantic and masculine outlaw who lives life the way he wants to and eagerly pledges to become his "underling" on the basis that she can learn to become less effeminate through serving him. She is the fourth member of the Neighbor's Club. The reason why Yukimura is unable to get friends is that she thinks she is a boy (despite her assignment at birth), which makes the boys uncomfortable, as well as her slightly over-the-top fascination for manliness. Yukimura has deep respect and admiration for Kodaka, and even calls him "aniki" (big bro, often used with gang leaders). Yukimura wishes to learn from "aniki" how to be a stronger and more manly boy. Yukimura has rather low-self esteem as she has been always shown to be greatly hurt and wanted to commit seppuku if she perceives herself as useless to Kodaka whom she looks up to as an example of masculinity. Yukimura is also very gullible, being tricked by Yozora to wear women's clothing, and joining the club (by Yozora for the purpose of using her as a servant) and later, wearing a butler outfit. As the series progresses, Yukimura seems to become more and more confident; her personality gradually changes as she is seen to leave sarcastic comments on Kodaka, which is very surprising considering how respectful towards him she usually is. Yukimura is also very polite, as she uses the term "watakushi" (私, わたくし) to describe herself, which is considered extremely formal and sophisticated. Yukimura rarely gets fazed by anything. For example when the entire club was frightened to ride on the "Black Dragon" roller coaster while Yukimura's attitude didn't change much, but it's also important to note that she just didn't express her fear, as her continuous chanting of sutras didn't cease throughout the entire ride, which indicates that she is an inexpressive person. Though she did show a hint of fear and nervousness when entering the haunted house, much to Kodaka's amusement, and again when she was picked to be the lead character for their film respectively. She is very dedicated to her work, never failing to bring Kodaka his daily food and comics and doing whatever he tells her to do (although she does take them to extremes). Other than being almost devoid of emotion, Yukimura also seemed to be engrossed on any topic related to samurai's. An example is when she immediately jumped into a conversion - regarding a hairstyle called "heaping" - when Rika started to relate to the concept of the hairstyle about a samurai's helmet but was cut-off by Kodaka as Yukimura was going way beyond the said topic, much to her dismay.
