Akito Hayama

Utama

Male · Umur 11 · Gol. darah B

Akito is characterized as a lone-wolf because he is quiet, reserved, and likes to keep himself at a distance from everyone. He carries with him a burden of blame from his family for the death of his mother, which he did not cause. But because of his troubled past and problems at school, Akito is maliciously referred to as a devil by his family. As the ring leader of a vicious group of hooligans, Akito and his thugs spend their days bullying the school. But things started to change when Sana came along, he became more nicer and stopped his bullying with the girls in his class. Akito has a hard time expressing his feelings, especially to someone he cares about, and often shows anger with any personal problem. Most of his behavior can be traced to his troubled family life.

Tatsuya Nakazaki

Sana Kurata

Utama

Female · Umur 11 · Gol. darah O

Sana Kurata is a child actress in the 6th grade that is the main star of the hit TV show 'Child's Toy'. Sana is a natural born leader who is very curious, stubborn, and loves to help others out with their problems. She's always cheerful, talkative, and full of spunk. Her family is made up of mother Misako Kurata, who is a famous author, and a man named Rei that she took in and made her manager. At school, she becomes enemies with a boy named Akito Hayama, who grouped up some of the boys to cause chaos in the classroom. She tries to find ways to beat Akito so that the boys stop interrupting the lessons, but that soon fails and they quickly become friends as Sana learns more about Akito's past.

Shizue Oda

Tsuyoshi Ooki

Utama

Male

Tsuyoshi is Akito's best friend. The two are an odd combination because Tsuyoshi is very cheerful, honest and nice, which is exactly the opposite of how everyone perceives Akito, and Tsuyoshi hardly ever participates in the antics of Akito's henchmen. However, much like Akito, Tsuyoshi has a tough family situation, as his parents are divorcing. Instead of dealing with his problems like Akito, he becomes kinder for the sake of others. Because of his ability to be strong and kind in bad situations, Tsuyoshi can sense that there is good within Akito and tries to convince others of what he sees, and tries to convince Sana that Akito isn't a bad guy, he's just misunderstood. Don't mistake Tsuyoshi for all happiness and sunshine though, for if one makes a disparaging remark about his family, especially, his mother, he produces an explosive temper that cannot be quelled.

Mayumi Misawa

Rei Sagami

Utama

Male

Rei is Sana's manager. Sana declares him as her "pimp" after reading a book which included the word, although she does not understand what it really means. In addition, Sana thinks of Rei as her boyfriend. Later, Akito tells Sana that Rei is playing with her, and sees her simply as a little girl wanting to play. Misako also tells Sana that Rei cannot be her boyfriend. This leaves Sana devastated. But after she gets over her heartbreak, Rei remains her manager and her friend. (Source: Wikipedia)

Ryou Naitou

Misako Kurata

Utama

Female

Misako is Sana's mother. She is an award-winning author and a single mom. The peculiar thing about Misako is that she wears elaborate hats tailored as playgrounds for her pet chipmunk, Maro, to live in. These hats incorporate everything from a moving Ferris Wheel to a small tree.

Hana Kino

Babbit

Pendukung

The hard-working half bat, half white rabbit narrator / commentator of Kodocha. He's usually found adding comments during key moments in the anime, narrating or recapitulating occurrences, and interacting with the characters. Babbit sometimes longs for attention from the main cast (and he wouldn't mind some respect and recognition), but Sana is always happy to pretend she doesn't know he exists, and she's quick to dismiss what he's saying as unimportant. For his part, Hayama is happy to chop Babbit on the head whenever he makes a comment about the way he should act. So overall, Babbit often gets abused and ignored, but somehow he's still always happy to pop up and comment about what's going on..

Tomoko Hikita

Naozumi Kamura

Pendukung

Naozumi-kun comes into the story later in the series. He is a child actor, just like Sana-chan and he even has the same past as her! Naozumi has been stalking Sana since she was 5 years old and has huge photo albums of everything about her... from newspaper and magazine clippings and pictures to interviews. All the girls in Sana's class all have huge crushes on him, and almost all the girls in the country like him. Everyone defines him as a "pretty boy" or a bishounen, meaning he's really handsome and charming. Naozumi is completely infatuated with Sana. He has been stalking her ever since she was five and knows almost everything about her. Now, since Naozumi is a threat to Hayama and Sana's relationship, Naozumi is also complete enemies with Hayama. Sana, of course, doesn't realize that he likes her, and when he declares his love for her, Sana thinks that he's only a fan. He's very proper and a really nice guy on the outside, while on the inside, he is ambitious and very possessive. He also has no problem with telling Sana how much he loves her. He always goes into a daze of sorts and starts mumbling about how he loves Sana and etc. (Source: Panniku!)

Omi Minami

Fuuka Matsui

Pendukung

Female

Fuuka moves back to Tokyo from Osaka when Sana and Hayama start junior high school. When she and Sana meet (in the school bathroom, of course), they realize they're very similar in both looks and personality. Fuuka is very honest and possesses a strong will and a good heart. Like Sana, she tends to get hyper when she's angry, worried, or excited, but Fuuka is definitely calmer and more serious than Sana. She is also a very good student and great at gymnastics, which means she's very driven and dedicated. While Fuuka has a good heart, she's a lot less innocent and soft-hearted than Sana, so sometimes she seems a bit colder. Fuuka isn't as prone to thinking with her heart alone, and she considers how her actions will affect her. But Fuuka is a very good person and she takes good care of her friends.

Although Sana enjoys her day with Mariko, she realizes that she doesn't feel a familial bond with her or Keiko. Episode 023 of the anime is dedicated to Mariko, where she wanders off to see Sana when a remote for Child's Toy is shot right by her house.
