Kasumi

Pendukung

Female

Kasumi is a Gym Leader of Hanada City's Gym, known officially as the Hanada Gym. She gives the Cascade Badge to Trainers who defeat her in battle. She specializes in Water-type Pokémon. Kasumi is a friend and former traveling partner of the anime's main character, Satoshi. After he stole her bike and proceeded to accidentally destroy it, Kasumi followed him around the Kanto region, the Orange Islands, and the Johto region, using the time she spent with him to further her goal of becoming the greatest Water Pokémon Master.

Takeshi

Pendukung

Male

Takeshi appeared primarily as an opponent to Satoshi in his debut episode; unlike later Gym Leaders, he requested to join Satoshi on his journey, aiming to be the world's greatest Pokémon Breeder. Takeshi mainly provides an advisory role to the other main characters of the anime, being several years older than the rest of them. His knowledge of Pokémon battles is great, causing him to often referee matches between Satoshi and others. Takeshi also fancies himself as something of a ladies' man, though each time he hits on someone he is either rejected outright; pulled away by Kasumi or Masato; or, more recently, Poison Jabbed by his Gureggru.

Pikachu

Pendukung

Pikachu is the signature Pokémon of the Pocket Monsters anime, and the first Pokémon that Satoshi obtained on his journey as a Pokémon Trainer, given to him by Professor Okido.

Mewtwo

Pendukung

Mewtwo is a Pokémon created by science. Mewtwo was created after years of horrific gene splicing and DNA engineering experiments based on Mew. It is said to have the most savage heart among all Pokémon, lack compassion, and strike fear into its enemy with cold, glowing eyes. Because it was engineered to be the ultimate in battle, it can only think of defeating its foes. In the first movie, where it was shown to be capable of levitation, telepathy, and mind control, Mewtwo exemplified these vicious characteristics. However, it was later shown to be caring, protective, and even altruistic. Another Mewtwo in the anime shared its aversion to contact with others but was much less belligerent. Mewtwo conserves energy by remaining motionless in order to unleash its full power in battle. It is also capable of materializing psychic waves in the form of its signature move, Psystrike. Though rarely seen in the wild, it is said to be resting in a dark cave somewhere. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Red

Pendukung

Male · Umur 11-20 · Gol. darah O

Red is very much the quintessential hero; brave, kind, and outgoing. He is capable of feats of agility, and is always willing to help others, with or without the help of his Pokémon. Red is an exceptional Pokémon battler, able to utilize his Pokémon's moves and natural talents in unique ways. Red is sometimes slow to pick up on sensitive matters. He is the last of the original seven Pokédex holders to learn of Yellow's true gender identity.

Green Okido

Pendukung

Male · Umur 11-20 · Gol. darah AB

Green has a serious, calm, and focused personality in everything he does. Although Red and Green were once bothered by each other because their personalities are so opposite, they ended up resolving their differences. Green and his Strike were trained by Shijima of Tanba City when he was a child. Thus, Green has some cursory knowledge of martial arts, and his Strike knew Generation II techniques.

Gold

Pendukung

Male · Umur 11-17 · Gol. darah B

Gold grew up in a home full of baby Pokémon. His neighbors in Wakaba Town refer to his family as the "Poké House". He usually wears a pair of goggles and travels on a scooter. Instead of throwing/kicking his Poké Balls, he uses a billiard cue to shoot them out, allowing for tactical maneuvers and deployments of his Pokémon. Gold's hobbies include gambling, skateboarding, and trying foods from different cities. His favorite idol/DJ is Kurumi from the Kogane Radio Station. Dr. Yukinari Okido noted that Gold is even more reckless and stubborn than Red. He likes playing billiards, but sometimes he may use his Pokémon to cheat. Gold's mother has described him as "careless". Gold also tends to lie or exaggerate at times, in a bid to make himself seem more impressive, and other people around him notice it. He also seems to exhibit a one-track mind at times, being an ardent fan of pretty girls like Kurumi, Mikan and the Kimono Girls, but failing to recognize Matsuba or the Johto Elite Four. Despite his negative traits, Gold is also noted for his moments of ingenuity, formulating plans and executing them spontaneously while appearing to slack off. Ultimately, Gold cares extremely for those around him and won't hesitate to sacrifice everything for their sake.

Ruby

Pendukung

Male · Umur 11-15 · Gol. darah O

Ruby has a great passion for Pokémon Contests. While he's an excellent battler, he only fights when necessary or when no one takes notice. He believes that Pokémon battles are barbaric, and get his Pokémon dirty — something that he does not like. Ruby is skilled at sewing and knitting. He makes clothes for all his Pokémon to wear, and even made Sapphire the clothes she wears for much of her adventures. He is nearsighted, and he has a pair of glasses to correct this, though he was originally too vain when it came to wearing them often. His other hobby is photography. He has a photo album of all of his Pokémon's biggest moments — such as evolutions or Pokémon Contest victories. Besides necessities, Ruby also has a "Makeup Box" and "Sewing Box" in his backpack, for his Contest appearances. Ruby has a pair of Running Shoes made by the Devon Corporation which he received from his father for his eleventh birthday. They are extremely powerful and useful, and propel Ruby along the ground with bursts of compressed air. As part of his training, Ruby is able to discern a Pokémon's nature in a few seconds. This has helped him to distract enemy Pokémon by using the target's favorite flavor of Pokéblock.

Pearl

Pendukung

Male · Umur 12 · Gol. darah B

Pearl is impatient and is often accidentally getting himself and his friend, Diamond into trouble. He is the straight man of the comedy duo, while Diamond is the funny man. Compared to Diamond, Pearl is hasty and easily angered and, according to Diamond, always goes out of his way to complete things he has started, which reflects the virtue that he is aligned with: willpower, which also makes him associated with Agnome. Pearl is also very bossy and usually tells Diamond and Platinum Berlitz what to do. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Diamond

Pendukung

Male · Umur 12 · Gol. darah A

Diamond is the stooge of the comedy duo, with his childhood friend Pearl playing the straight man. Despite appearing seemingly dopey and slow-witted when performing his role, he is actually very perceptive. His name is often shortened to Dia, but is also called by his full name, Diamond, by Pearl when the latter is unusually serious. Diamond is often apathetic and rarely not seen eating - even in dire situations, as was the case when he had a feast with his Pokémon while aboard a Ginga-dan airship that was headed straight to their HQ. He shares these traits with his Pokémon, especially so with his Gonbe. He is much less active and energetic when compared to Pearl or Platinum, as seen when Platinum mused that every morning since the trio began traveling together, Diamond would perpetually end up being the last to get up. However, he is always serious when it comes to food and is an expert at cooking Poffins. He also displays an ability to analyze the situation at hand - when something strikes him as illogical, he will attempt to make sense out of it. Diamond has a somewhat natural instinct to judge how a Pokémon feels and can be quite observant when something arouses his interest. He is driven by emotion, thus his association with Emrit.

Asuna

Pendukung

Asuna is the Gym Leader of Huen Town's hot springs Gym, known officially as the Huen Gym. She specializes in Fire-type Pokémon and gives out the Heat Badge to Trainers who defeat her. Asuna is enthusiastic about her new role as Gym Leader, but she was still getting used to the responsibilities and was overwhelmed. While Asuna already has the hallmarks of a Gym Leader, including her confidence and dedication, her grandfather Mura returned to the Gym to help support her training. She attempts to keep herself calm in the heat of battle, but her stressed temperament is still a weakness. Asuna's battle strategy is still experimental, but she showed off impressive defensive strategies that helped her Pokémon inflict a lot of damage on Satoshi's. Asuna also uses Sandstorm and Smog to distract her opponent's Pokémon before hitting them with a Fire-type attack. She resorts to using status conditions in order to overcome strong opponents who have the type advantage, like Satoshi's Heigani. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Hayato

Pendukung

Male

Hayato is the Gym Leader of Violet City's Gym, known officially as the Violet Gym. He hands out the Zephyr Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Flying-type Pokémon. Hayato has a self-righteous attitude when it comes to Pokémon training, which angered Satoshi. Hayato also expressed an intense dislike for the assumption many Trainers make that Flying-type Pokémon will always lose to Electric-types, but proved to be slightly hypocritical as he criticized Satoshi's poor choice of using Chicorita, a Grass-type that is weak to Flying-types, in their match. He is intense in battle and rigorously commands his Pokémon's every move, including their flight paths. He uses his Flying Pokémon's abilities to whip up strong winds, and their wings, or in Dodorio's case its long legs, to evade attacks and swoop down to attack. While he pushes his Pokémon to perform their best, Hayato also thanks them for their efforts.

Katsura

Pendukung

Male

Katsura is the Gym Leader of Guren Island's (later the Twin Islands') Gym, known officially as the Guren Gym. He hands out the Volcano Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He is a highly intelligent man who specializes in Fire-type Pokémon. Katsura likes to make up riddles and use puns even in inappropriate situations. Even so, he is a stern opponent and takes his role as Gym Leader very seriously. He values a keen challenger and makes sure they truly earn their Volcano Badge in battle. He has crafted his battle strategy around his Gym's volcanic location, which suits his Fire Pokémon against its biggest weakness, Water Pokémon. (Source: Bulbapedia)

Natsume

Pendukung

Female

Natsume is the Gym Leader of Yamabuki City's Gym, known officially as the Yamabuki Gym. She hands out the Marsh Badge to Trainers who defeat her. She possesses psychic abilities and specializes in Psychic-type Pokémon. As Natsume's psychic powers increased, she grew more obsessed with developing them. She also became less emotional, using her abilities for destructive purposes. This caused a deep psychological rift, and the emotions she tried to shut off developed into a separate personality: a young girl who manifested as a puppet around Natsume. Natsume's mind was then divided into the cold, callous woman with a thirst for power and the little girl who just wanted to have fun. Prior to befriending Ghost, Natsume was a menacing and strong Gym Leader. She was shown to be able to telepathically command her Yungerer. However, her lighthearted nature was seen briefly at the end of "Ghost VS Esper!".

Matis

Pendukung

Male

Matis is the Gym Leader of Kuchiba City's Gym, known officially as the Kuchiba Gym. He hands out the Thunder Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Electric-type Pokémon. An intimidating person, Matis surrounds himself with other tough-looking Trainers. He is arrogant, loud, and crude; and refers to all challengers as "babies" until they manage to defeat him. Matis generally looks down on unevolved Pokémon, preferring to evolve them as soon as possible. He also seems to be an extremely brutal battler, as nearly every Trainer that faced him ended up with their Pokémon being seriously injured.

Erika

Pendukung

Erika is the Gym Leader of Celadon City's Gym, known officially as the Celadon Gym. She hands out the Rainbow Badge to trainers who defeat her. She is a serene young woman who specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. She sometimes dresses in elegant kimonos and seems to represent traditional Japanese beauty, and perhaps geisha culture. Erika has a kindhearted personality and takes on students to teach them about being a good Trainer and perfume manufacturing. However, she also possesses a temperamental side, particularly when her perfume is insulted. In battle, she uses status moves like Stun Spore to overwhelm her opponent's Pokémon. Shirona

Pendukung

Shirona is astoundingly powerful and well-respected as Sinnoh's Champion. She is measured in her battling style, and while she attacks in quick succession, she prefers not to exhaust either hers or her opponents' Pokémon. Shirona has a calm demeanor, not showing the slightest of stress even in the heat of battle. Shirona is incredibly wise and well versed in the Sinnoh time-space legends. She often quoted "When every life meets another life, something will be born", a line directly from the Sinnoh time-space legends. She is particularly interested in the friendship between Trainers and their Pokémon, and enjoys mentoring young Trainers, and willingly offers advice to support their growth such as Satoshi, Shinji and Unova League's Cattleya.

Pendukung

Crystal is an expert in capturing Pokémon, a skill she developed when she was young. After an accident during her childhood that left her arms broken, Crystal learned to kick Poké Balls with her feet. Although by now her arms have been completely healed, Crystal has retained the habit of kicking her Poké Balls instead of throwing them. Crystal is very dedicated to her task of completing the Pokédex and has faith in her Pokémon and their ability to help her. Though she can be insecure about herself when she fails, with encouragement she is able to pick herself back up and restore her confidence in herself.
