Yuri Lowell

Utama

Male · Umur 21

Height: 180 cm Weapon: Swords and Axes Sub-Weapon: Gloves Yuri grew up in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias with Flynn, and according to many of the residents there (such as Ted), they were the best of friends and shared everything, even the first sword that they bought together. Growing up as a commoner caused Yuri to develop a dislike for the empire's nobility, and so throughout his adventure, Yuri tends to take the commoner's side in disputes. He is not afraid to take difficult matters into his own hands, and throughout his travels comes to decide that taking the law into his own hands is the only way to ensure that the villains of the world are punished. However, as shown by his conversation with Flynn in Mantaic, he is fully aware that in doing so he may be bringing himself closer to those whom he despises. Yuri is capable of using both swords and axes in battle, though axes usually slow him down. Yuri and Flynn joined the imperial knights together, but Yuri left -- after "a few months", by his own account -- because he could not stand their corruption. His short time as a knight allowed him to travel outside of the capital, but he was unable to do so as regularly as Flynn.

Kousuke Toriumi

Flynn Scifo

Utama

Male · Umur 21

Hometown: Zaphias Height: 180 cm Weapon: Swords Sub-Weapon: Shields He is Yuri Lowell's best friend, though they do not show it much. He is a part of the Imperial Knights and, unlike Yuri, he wishes to change the empire from the inside. Flynn, in contrast to Yuri, is a knight who would solve the larger problem before the smaller ones. He has a similar sense of justice to Yuri, but would rather solve them through politics. His differences in ideology causes him to clash with Yuri, although the two are not really at odds with each other. This can be represented in the fact that Flynn chooses to work in the Empire, whereas Yuri chooses to work in the Guilds. Flynn uses a sword and shield in battle, being similar to a Magic Knight but with more physical artes than spells. His mystic arte is Radiant Dragon Fang. Flynn and Yuri have known each other since they were children, and often used to spend time together. However, after leaving the Imperial Knights, Yuri seems to act apatethic toward Flynn, ignoring all warnings Flynn gives him.

She appears to lack any common sense at first, shown by almost walking off the cliff while chasing a butterfly. Due to her amnesia, Sophie has only basic knowledge of communication, and knows little of anything else, especially emotions; however, as the story progresses, she develops strong bonds with everyone she meets, fueled by her desire to protect those important to her, a trait learned from Asbel. She is often left confused at the more complicated discussions that the party has, and takes many things too seriously. Because of the fact that she doesn't know much about the world, she is incredibly curious about the world around her often asking the party many questions, though mostly trivial. (Source: Wikipedia)

Dhaos

Latar

Hailing from the planet of Derris Kharlan, he traveled to Aselia in order to retrieve a Mana Seed that could save his homeworld from mana depletion. However, in order to do this he needed to charge up a large amount of energy inside of Yggdrasill and that's where things started to go wrong. The people of Aselia were going through an industrious age in which they were trying to harness large amounts of mana for machinery or magitech. This was draining away mana faster than Yggdrasill was producing it, not leaving nearly enough for Dhaos' Mana Seed. Because of this, Dhaos set out to kill everyone who used or studied magitech by summoning an army of monsters. With their power at his command, he soon became feared throughout the land, eventually being challenged by the city of Midgards who sent five soldiers (the game's main characters) to storm his castle. He battled them and probably would have won had he not fled to the future for the sake his people. Once there, Dhaos began terrorizing the planet again but was stopped once more, this time by a group of heroes led by Alan Albane. Using powerful magic, they sealed him away inside an underground tomb. However, the sorcerer still wasn't ready to give up on his homeworld and so he used telepathy to contact a power-hungry knight known as Mars Udole. Dhaos promised him great power in return for his own freedom and the knight believed him, unlocking the tomb with two magical pendants... Only to be killed by Dhaos upon his release. The five soldiers who had defeated him for the Midgalds had tracked him to the future using time travel and so Dhaos was forced to flee into the future once more. However, upon his arrival, he discovered that the entire world had adopted the science of magitech and so he felt he had no choice but to kill everyone... Unfortunately for him, the soldiers from Midgards had followed him once more but this time they were wielding the Eternal Sword, an extremely powerful blade that could prevent the use of time travel. With nowhere left to run, Dhaos fought with all his might, drawing strength from his homeworld and even transforming his body to try and ensure his peoples' safety. Unfortunately, all of this was to no avail and Dhaos was ultimately killed at the hands of Cress Albane and his Eternal Sword... However, during the final fight Dhaos had revealed his motives and the soldiers semmed to deem them just. Because of this, they asked the Goddess Martel to do them a favour and make Dhaos a Mana Seed to send up to Derris Kharlan along with his deceased body...

Kyle Dunamis

Latar

The main character of the game, Kyle is very much like his father, Stahn; Kyle's straightforward, simplistic personality is similar to Stahn's as well. However, Kyle remembers little of his father, as the famous hero left on a journey when Kyle was very young; this is what Kyle has been told by Rutee, his mother, and Loni, his closest friend. In actuality, Stahn was killed by Barbatos when Kyle was a child. Rutee runs the Dunamis Orphanage based in the town of Cresta, so the other children there are akin to family. Kyle is especially close to Loni, who treats him like a little brother; their relationship has been forged over more than ten years. Kyle has absolute faith that he will become a hero someday due to the heroic bloodline of his parents; Stahn and Rutee were members of the group (in the original Tales of Destiny) that dealt with the dangerous Eye of Atamoni some eighteen years prior to the initial events of Tales of Destiny 2. In battle, Kyle is a powerful physical attacker who uses swords, and his magic is relatively weak and underdeveloped; these traits form yet another parallel with Stahn. (Source: Wikipedia)
